มันเป็นประสบการณ์ที่น่าอัศจรรย์อย่างแน่นอน เรามาจากญี่ปุ่น & มาที่ไฮแลนด์ พื้นที่เพื่อหลีกหนีความวุ่นวายของเมือง เราประหลาดใจกับสิ่งที่ซ่อนอยู่นี้ อัญมณี เมื่อเราเข้ามาเรา ยินดีต้อนรับด้วยน้ําเสาวรสที่ยอดเยี่ยม เรามาหลังมืด & ขอแค่เรียบง่าย ข้าวขาว & ผัดผัก แต่เชฟ และพนักงานของเธอทําอาหารเย็นที่น่าตื่นตาตื่นใจกับ ผักและข้าวง่ายๆ รู้ดีว่าอาหารถูกจัดเตรียมด้วยใจ สามารถเยียวยาจิตวิญญาณของเราได้ ฉันยังคงคิดอยู่ว่าถ้าคนในโลกนี้ กินอาหารแบบนี้ได้กับของจริง วิญญาณในนั้นสามารถเยียวยาโลกทั้งใบ!! มันน่าทึ่งมากที่ได้เป็น รายล้อมไปด้วย ต้นไม้สวยๆ &เสียงของสัตว์ าจะกลับมาอีกแน่นอน โอ

Amba Yaalu — A Second Home for Soulful Rejuvenation My first stay at Amba Yaalu by Thema Collection was pure discovery. I came out of curiosity—wanting to experience, for the first time, the novelty and energy of a women-led resort. I left enchanted. But this second visit felt different—more intentional, more existential. I rebooked to continue my solo quest for soulful rejuvenation, tranquility, and serenity—the kind of restorative pause that leaves you resettled for the life you love, yet must return to: a job and day-to-day that asks a great deal. From the moment I arrived, I was beautifully cared for. The à la carte dining—with both Western and Sri Lankan options—did more than simply nourish my body. It re-ignited my appetite in the most genuine way. I ate with joy and intention, and somehow it even made me feel lighter and steadier within myself. I also took a private cookery lesson with the chef, and it was unforgettable. I didn’t just leave with a chef’s hat and a printed recipe book—I left with real skills, spice knowledge, and techniques I can bring home. I can already see myself sharing this with my colleagues, my friends, and of course my beloved family. And yes—I even had to tease the chef, because I loved her food so much that this post-menopausal woman ate so well that my cholesterol and blood pressure readings came down…and I genuinely started to develop a “food baby”. 😂😂😂 Finally, to the management and leadership: as an educator in ancient history, I know great women when I meet them—Helen of Troy, Cleopatra… and beyond. At Amba Yaalu, the leadership feels like that same kind of powerful grace. It isn’t only about running a beautiful resort—it’s about building something that matters. To Amba Yaalu and everyone who made this stay feel like a true haven: thank you for giving me a serenity I could feel in my bones—and a renewed strength for what comes next.

Just a short walk from the bus stop, this gem of a guesthouse is hands down the best place to stay in Sri Lanka. The owner goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, always offering help and thoughtful advice. He even arranged for a local tuk-tuk driver at a very reasonable price, ensuring I had the best experience exploring the area. Every afternoon, he would check in and offer a delightful cup of tea, making the stay feel extra special. His wife’s cooking is an absolute highlight—breakfast was not just delicious but prepared with so much care, adding a homely touch to every meal. The room itself was super clean, big, and incredibly comfortable. From start to finish, they both made me feel completely at home. I can say this was the best accommodation I experienced during my time in Sri Lanka, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a truly memorable and comfortable stay.

We got very nice experience when staying here 1 night. The room was perfect for our family of 3. We just had to pay for the 3rd person's breakfast. The Logde located nearby the Lion rock and village, easy to find and go to the rock or the Gambulla city within 10min. The host Isuru was very welcoming from the start and made sure that we had all that we needed. ( hot water, drinking water, towels, AC, fan). We also really appreciated Mr Alain, a french gentleman resident in the sameplace! The room also had all the necessary for us to not be bitten by insects (scents and more). There was also a room for the driver at a very resonnable price. However we found the wifi a little weak, but else everything was good. In the surroundings it is peaceful, and we woke up to nice little sound of the nature and a well prepared typical srilankan breakfast and fruits! Delicious!

Amazing , strong pressure shower ! Beautiful rooom window . Lovely staff very accommodating! He picked me up and dropped me at Pidurangala Rock. Then dropped me at the bus station for no charge. I would stay here again . So helpful

โรงแรมสวย กว้างขวาง ห้องพักสวย ตอนเช็คอิน เราได้รับน้ําผลไม้สดชื่น มีสระว่ายน้ําขนาดใหญ่บนพื้นและจากุซซี่ขนาดใหญ่พร้อมน้ําร้อนในห้อง  ข้อเสียของโรงแรม: ไกลจากสถานที่ท่องเที่ยว แท็กซี่จากศูนย์ไปที่นั่นเพื่อรับฉันเท่านั้น x2. แท็กซี่โรงแรมแพงกว่า 3 เท่า ใกล้โรงแรมไม่มีร้านค้าและร้านอาหารเลย ภายในโรงแรมราคาอาหาร x3 อีกทั้งหลัง 6 โมงเย็นจะอันตรายอยู่ข้างนอกเพราะช้างเดินไปมา ตอนนี้มาพูดถึงพรีเมียมและห้าแข่งกัน ในรอบ 7 ปีของการเดินทาง ที่นี่เป็นโรงแรมแห่งแรกที่ไม่มีเสื้อคลุมอาบน้ํา รองเท้าแตะ แปรงสีฟันและยาสีฟันในห้อง ท่อในฝักบัวรั่ว และประตูก็ดังเอี๊ยดจนคุณเรียกวิญญาณในเวลากลางคืน เกี่ยวกับความสนใจของลูกค้า ฉันพูดถึงวันเกิดที่กําลังจะมาถึงของฉันในการสนทนากับผู้จัดการ แต่ข้อเท็จจริงนี้ไม่ได้ใช้ในทางใด ๆ เพื่อแสดงความสนใจจากโรงแรม นี่เป็นการคํานวณที่ผิดพลาดครั้งใหญ่สําหรับพนักงานของโรงแรมระดับพรีเมียม เรายังออกเดินทางสายและคําขอของเราที่จะล่าช้าในโรงแรมสองสามชั่วโมงถูกปฏิเสธ นี่ไม่ใช่เพราะลูกค้าใหม่มาถึงเพราะผู้จัดการเสนอให้ขยายเวลาการเข้าพักของเราด้วยค่าธรรมเนียม สําหรับลูกค้าในอนาคตข้อเท็จจริงนี้อาจเป็นการตัดสินใจในการเลือกของพวกเขา โดยทั่วไปแล้วโรงแรมก็ไม่เลว แต่การบริการและความยืดหยุ่นของพนักงานรวมถึงแนวทางส่วนตัวต่อลูกค้าไม่สอดคล้องกับระดับพรีเมียมและจําเป็นต้องปรับปรุง

We feel annoying because someone wrip the floor at 0630 with a lot of noise. Extra bill when check out. A bill for dinner buffet which we did not attend. Your staff did not listen to us and insist we eat the buffet and they said CCTV can see us there. At the end, we wait for half hour and the did not show the CCTV and let us go. When we settle the bill for 2 dinners we have, the wifi connection is not good and your staff say they did not receive the pament and ask us the pay cash. At the end, we find the bill already settle by credit card. And we need to go back to the hotel and they still say hotel did not recieve the payment and ask us to check with our bank.

シギリヤ観光のために3泊滞在して、部屋も綺麗でベッドもでかく、アメニティも充実していてよかった。 ちょっとしたトラブルもあったものの、スタッフの人も優しく対応してくれた。 朝食もおいしく、ディナーもやっていてディナーもおすすめです。 敷地内からシギリヤロックも見れるので、朝日とか見に行くのがおすすめです！(4時半とかはPickmeがなかなか捕まらないので事前にトゥクトゥクのドライバーを捕まえてたほうがいいかもです)

เราพักที่นี่สองคืนและเพลิดเพลินกับสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวหลักสองแห่งในพื้นที่ เด็กชายว่างมากและผู้จัดการเป็นชายหนุ่มที่ดีที่สามารถทําได้ แม้ว่าจะไม่ไกลจากห้องพัก แต่ทําเลที่ตั้งเงียบมาก โรงแรมสะดวกสบายมากและสะดวกสบายมากและสะดวกสบายมากและสะดวกสบายมากและดีมาก

This hotel was in an excellent location. It was nearby restaurants and amenities. We had a pleasant stay except for an issue with the laundry service which was not up to par. Would advise travellers to clarify the no of items and weight of laundry before getting hotel to do it. Laundry was returned to us partially wet and a sock was missing n never found. We were asked to pay more as they claimed that our laundry exceeded the weight. It would have been good to have been informed first. It was unfortunate that the end of stay was disappointing due to this incident. The hotel manager was not very professional in handling the matter. ☹️
