At check in, staff charged a $50 fee to my card for “incidentals”. When I asked for an explanation they told me it was refundable after we checked out and they verified there was no damage. I’ve never been charged this fee at any other Country Inn and Suites. When we entered the room, the couch was ripped, there was ground in food in the carpet, the bathroom obviously had not been cleaned, mold around the rim of the sink, makeup on the counter. The AC was noisy, and shuts off when you sleep, because of a motion sensor. So the room would get hot, we’d wake up, wave at the sensor, and it would restart. Breakfast was very good, and staff were polite, but totally uncaring. The room was terrible. ******* shouldn’t even list this hotel. At checkout, they explained the $50 fee would take 5 business days to be refunded. There is a construction crew staying here, and there is mud tracked everywhere. The same muddy foot prints were in the hallway the whole time we were there.
