Sivota Diamond Spa Resort

Really a Weird place even if the building is incredible. Breakfast not good, no Fresh juice , sirup concentrate machine, except the young staff, for a five stars, they talk english really bad and they dont try to be more understable. Not a 5 stars definitly. Day receptionnist makes really feel inconfortable. Really too familiar and, just weird… My wife had her hair burnt by the low cost haïr dryer and when hé came help pulling up her haïr, she lost some hair!!!! it was really funny for him and make jokes till our depart. A shame.

My wife and I stayed for 7 nights in an Executive room with stunning sea views. The views from the hotel are terrific probably the best from any hotel we have stayed in. The hotel is spotless and well cared for. The hotel staff are pleasant and helpful. We stayed bed and breakfast but ate evening meal once at the hotel. Lots of other people used the restaurant and seemed pleased with it. The hotel is set on a steep hill outside of Sivota. We walked into Sivota of a night and got a taxi back (5 euros). Some people did walk back but regretted it later. The Taxi rank in Sivota could be busy some nights but worth the wait. Plenty of sun beds and a separate adults section round the pool area of the hotel. The Danish tour operator guides did turn up one day to perform for the kids and blast everyone out but I must give them marks for effort in the heat. We were disappointed that on some days techno beat music was blasted out round the pools and pool bar. It seemed strange the hotel allowed this as they ask you to "come and relax" but maybe they vary it to suit all age groups. The other main issue we had was the hotel advising us on the day we arrived that a wedding would be taking place on the Friday at the hotel. (It does say in the brochure the hotel caters for weddings.) This meant however that the View restaurant was not available that night and also the main pool area was cleared of all sunbeds on that day to set out chairs etc for the ceremony. The main pool area was then out of bounds from 2pm. It's a matter of choice but why anyone would want to get married surrounded by other half naked people lying round on sunbeds I don't know. Obviously the Danish couple thought the photos with the beautiful view in the background made up for it. The wedding and reception took place followed by the disco in the View restaurant until late on. I think if other paying guests had been screaming and shouting like the wedding party the hotel would have done something about it. I know weddings are big busines for hotels but at the expense of inconveniencing paying guests? Overall a pleasant stay at the Diamond helped by the fact we met some other fantastic guests while we were there.

Dont get me wrong, the hotel itself is quite nice. There is excellent view on the Ionion sea and the rooms are tidy. The services and food hotel offers are terrible. I would give one star but the complex itself earns another. We were here with my wife on our honeymoon 10 years ago when this hotel was quite new. The service wasnt any better then but we thought it may be just new hotel hiccups and they would have evolved in 10 years. So we decided to come celebrate our 10 years anniversary to Sivota Diamond hotel. Unfortunately the service hasnt evolved any better at least and the food (eg. the breakfast) is just mediacore at best. Breakfast selection is extremely narrow and that goes for the snack menu too. The snack menu itself looks nice, but the hotels doesnt offer even what is on the menu. The reception wanted to know our exact date on our anniversary for some reason, but didnt do anything about it. I thought they would surprise us with some flowers or something, but there were nothing. Not very romantic hotel either. If you want good view from your room and nothing else, then this hotel might for you.

Hotel : very nich refurbished, spacious rooms, stunning views of the bay from the balcony, 3 pools Breakfast/dinner/ delicous food, variety of dishes Staff: friendly and helpful Cleanliness: impeccable in the rooms and spaces around the villas. I would def come back

Such a great place! A family of 4, we all enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Great piscines, friendly staff, delicious food. The rooms and the facilities were always spotless clean and tidy and the customer service was excellent. They were always there to help us and suggest fun activities. And the best view ever!!!! I already miss it.

The staff were so helpful and friendly. We were surprised and disappointed that we were charged €4 for every time they booked us a taxi to take us into town for a €5 taxi ride. We had not realised either we were being charged for using their beach towels as assumed this was included. Nobody made us aware of these extra hidden costs for an already expensive hotel.

We have visit the hotel 3 times and it have never disappointed us. The Hotel it self, the service at the Hotel and the surroundings is top top class. They call it the Caribbean of Greece. We support that wording 100% We’ll definitely come back Jan Glerup - Denmark

Just got back after a week staying here, lovely hotel and main pool area, our air con room had a private pool and sea view which was amazing. The staff seemed to be not happy and several times we had to repeatedly request service for drinks and food, they were slow to respond and even slower to deliver even in quiet times. To say it’s a 5* rated hotel is a joke, we have stayed in less star and been looked after better, the biggest let down was the meals, breakfast was abysmal, not what we expected at this level, Greeks do not know how to grill bacon anyway but clearly the bacon had been over cooked as it was so tough, I asked the staff every morning if they had any less grilled but every day the same. No matter which eggs you picked (scrabbled, fried, omelettes or poached) they were all rock hard which made them inedible, clearly been sat in the trays for too long, but nothing was hot just warm. I expected at 5* level they would have someone cooking fresh eggs to order (any type), but no the staff did not understand this concept, I asked for a ham omelette and they took me to the cold buffet and pointed to the ham, when I asked for it to be in an omelette they did not understand. Each morning to compliment the over cooked items was a different “seasonal vegetable of the day” remember this is for breakfast and each day there was a different choice on Sunday it was gardens peas, Monday courgettes, Tuesday red peppers, Wednesday carrots, Thursday onions and Friday clearly ran out of ideas it was peas with carrots, clearly not a great offering as every morning they remained nearly untouched, question is why would anyone have any of these strange items on a cooked breakfast anyway? Sunday was my birthday so as a treat on Saturday we decided to book a table in The View, apparently an exclusive on site restaurant, we asked reception to book us a table and she said she would see if we could get in for 7.30, no was the reply we could only have 8pm, booked that. We arrived 5 mins early to have a pre dinner drink, to find the place totally empty! I did think it a little strange when he asked us “where would you like sit” having the choice we picked the table overlooking the pool and sea view. After 10 mins we had a drink, picked our food and took photos, still no one else in there. Starters arrived 10 mins later of Greek salad and grilled octopus both amazing, those eaten still no one else came in. Fifteen mins later along came the mains, seafood risotto and juicy ribeye for me, the risotto was great, while the ribeye a bit fatty throughout not what I expected for €40, anyway mains eaten and another drink ordered it’s now 8.55pm and still no one else in here? As a treat the chef made me a nice lemon cheesecake birthday cake, very nice and light, third drinks ordered its now 9.20 and it was starting to concern me that there was still no one else in here, after all we did need to book and could only get 8pm right? all food done I ordered one more beer a
