Our stay at Chalet Al Foss was a nightmare. For €3,200 over FOUR nights, we expected luxury and peace. Instead, we endured sleepless nights, unhelpful management, and a complete lack of care for guest comfort. 1. Unhelpful Management + Loud Music Alberto (the owner) seems to think he’s running a club in Ibiza, blasting loud, trashy euro-pop every day from 3–7 pm. Even with windows closed, the noise fills the rooms, ruining any chance of relaxation. And you can’t escape it! He completely refuses to turn the music down—it’s blasting every day, and he doesn’t care if it bothers you or not. We were told he advertises this place like a party hotel (ha-ha, check out their Instagram) 2. Spa Closes at 7 PM, Right When the Torture Ends The outdoor spa closes for guests at exactly 7 pm, right when the obnoxious DJ stops his loud music. So, if you’re hoping to enjoy a quiet evening in the spa with your partner while listening to nature, forget it. The only way to have that experience is by paying extra for one of their overpriced “experiences.” It’s ridiculous that after paying €800 per night, we could only enjoy quiet time in the spa until 3 pm. Every day, we had to leave the hotel when the DJ turned the place into a daytime rave. 3. Sleepless Nights Due to Noise • First Night: At 5 am, a snow cannon roared to life outside our room, waking us up. Then, at 8 am, the hotel blasted loud music outside, basically acting as an alarm clock for everyone. • Second Night: The 8 am music disturbance happened again, supposedly for an engagement proposal. Who proposes at 8 am? The paper-thin walls didn’t help, letting every sound from the corridor and neighbours rooms into our room. 4. Overpriced and Overhyped Alpaca Breakfast We paid €150 for the so-called “alpaca breakfast,” an obvious Instagram trick. The poached eggs were almost raw, served like soup in a plate. The alpacas are brought out just long enough for photos and videos and you can feed them. They aren’t actually having breakfast with you cause they will probably want to taste yours. Exhausted from lack of sleep, we asked if we could reschedule or cancel this experience but were flatly denied. The alpacas were adorable but you can go and say hi to them for free at any other time of the day. 5. Massage Service is a Complete Joke We booked a massage for €240, thinking it would be top-quality. Instead, it was very basic and disappointing. It became clear why: the two masseuses are not professional therapists—they also work as waitresses, cleaners (not confirmed but we saw our therapist coming into someone’s room with a cleaning trolley), and even models for the hotel’s Instagram. Yes, the same people serving your drinks and cleaning your room are pretending to be happy guests in reels, enjoying the hot tubs and rooms and do your massages. It’s embarrassing and insulting for what we paid. 6. Hot and Uncomfortable Rooms with No Temperature Control Our room was unbearably hot, with no air conditioning
