55 Aira Hotel

Ho utilizzato questo hotel solo di passaggio per partire e tornare dall'aeroporto. La prima camera all'andata ho trovato le formiche in bagno e puzza di fogna che veniva dall'esterno perché la finestra si affacciava in una specie di pozzo luce al 4 piano, la seconda volta al ritorno la camera si affacciava sulla piazza, rumorosissima e il letto che doveva essere un matrimoniale, erano due letti singoli attaccati solo da un lenzuolo che si spostava continuamente e automaticamente si dividevano i letti. Su 10 do un 4 1/2 .

Hotel laterale alla stazione centrale di Palermo i che comporta tutti gli aspetti positivi e negativi di una zona ferroviaria. Colazione non da vero 4* stile american breakfast ma buona per clienti italiani. Cene con piatti di pasta molto esigui, piuttosto assaggi. Spazi ristretti al piano terra considerato che bar-pasticceria, ristorante per la colazione e ristorante per la cena sono la stessa cosa.

Bad experience. Very confused hotell staff. They gave us wrong and smaller hotell room. They couldn’t speak english so well. The hotel room and the corridor looked like it came straight from a Horror movie… the bed was very uncomfortable. . .

Probably the worst hotel I’ve been to. There were many things that were not up to standard and few points that outline that this accommodation does not even qualify for 4 stars as advertised: - We received completely different room from what we agreed and paid for online - Room was very old, small, dirty with loads of mould in the walls and ceiling - whole room was full of this smell which affected night sleep and comfort - the moment we returned back to “hotel” - smell was unbearable and at times, difficult to breathe - Housekeepers wouldn’t replace our bedsheets - they will just tuck it in even if they were dirty - Staff is rude, doesn’t speak in English even if they understand it what is asked. We missed our boat trip cruise because evening staff couldn’t guide us through with the questions we had from their own booklets that they advertised - we been informed to come back in the morning - the moment we came in the morning - we were told that this is too late and we should have consulted earlier, night before?? attitude was terrible and reception is not helpful at all We tried to talk to staff at reception but they weren’t helpful - simply pretended they don’t understand what we are talking about, especially elder gentleman This “hotel”, its condition of rooms and service level of staff is maximum 2*stars, how could you give yourself 4*? For bed and breakfast type of accommodation? Attaching pictures of your “4 star” hotel below: We demanded our money back as what we experienced is not what we been advertised for and been heavily misled into buying false product - this is illegal in so many ways, including unfair business practices, false advertisement, health and safety measures Still no contact from hotel or booking com Avoid like plague

I came here 2 times, 1 before my cruise and 1 after. The first time I stayed with my mum and brother for 3 nights and it was..average. 2nd time however was horrible. I went for 1 night and the staff were rude and unhelful. Location is quite bad too.

All very friendly. Vincenzo, Noemi, Giuseppe, Selenia, Cetty, Little Sophia... Veramente, TUTTI! EXCELLENT!!! We have been traveling all around the world, and by far this hotel deserves more Stars than the ones allocated. Really we always look for a good location, and for a hotel with good reviews, regardless of how many Stars Hotels we have to pay for. There were not too many choices in Palermo. This hotel was close to the Train and Bus Stations. We could not find any flights due to the flights cancellations because of Volcan Etna decision to erupt unpredictably, therefore, we arrived at Palermo by bus. This hotel was close to the Bus Station, after so many hours in uncomfortable seats at Marino Bus, (next to a table seats where 4 persons could not stretch their legs in a long journey, from Bari to Palermo, shame on you Marino Bus, you should not sell table tickets in a journey where people need to sleep ,- more than 8 hours travel). Anyway, thank God! we found 55 Aira Hotel, no need to pray so the water does not stay in the sink when brushing your teeth. No need to pray so the toilet flush well. No need to pray so that you end up showering with water covering your feet. If we could give 10 Stars to 55 Aira, we will. 🙂

An appalling stay. Accommodation- A small dark room found at the end of a pitch black unlit corridor. I had to use my phone torch to identify and access my room. The bed was two singles pushed together and occupied most of the room bar a small cheap flimsy wardrobe and a desk. I had a small window looking out to a grubby central courtyard. No balcony. My bathroom was ok but there was no bracket to hold the shower hose. My lamp did not work and the lock and key mechanism of the door was failing. Facilities- The corridors were a grubby maze. The walls were all dirty and the flooring the cheapest of heavily worn laminate. There were bundles of dirty sheets lying around and areas filled with detritus such as step ladders, cardboard boxes and unused chairs. There are no communal areas to relax apart from some plastic tables and chairs in the cramped and noisy dining area. The main seating was plastic tables and chairs on the pavement outside that tried to draw in passing custom. Breakfast- Extremely awful. The coffee from a machine was undrinkable and I'll normally drink anything. Flies swarmed all over the food laid out. Location- Directly opposite the main train station on an extremely busy road with buses passing every few seconds. The walls of my room were paper thin and my solitary window single glazed. Needless to say the night was very disturbed. Staff- Unfortunately, as with much of Southern Italy the staff were a combination of indifferent, unhelpful and surly. Only if you are Italian will you be treated with any courtesy. They treat stranieri (foreigners) with contempt. The majority of the staff look as though they couldn't care or have given up on this establishment. They should be embarrassed to work here and the owner ashamed for they are not hoteliers. Summary- I was lucky in that my employers were able to move me to alternative accommodation at short notice. Anyone giving this excuse for a hotel more than two stars lives in a fantasy world. Do not even consider this place.

We began the night with a reservation at a « sister » hotel called 38 aire. Upon our arrival (around 00:50 at night) the staff i formed us that there was an error with the booking and that we had to go to another hotel. After walkinh for 20 minutes with heavy bags we arrive at 55 Aire. The staff was nice and apologised for the incidence. I then proceed to take a shower and after 2 minutes the hot water RAN OUT. I had to go downstairs woth wer hair just to get told that the boiler « needed time ». It’s worth noting that we entered the room around 1.20 and I began the shower at 3.20 more than 2 hours later. So basically, the hotel didn’t have hot water ready for guests in the winter. The Wifi also didnt work and when we asked the receptionist simply tomd us to put the password in dowstairs and then to go upstairs and it would work. It didnt work. Honestly the worst experience we have ever had, and also the first negative review I have ever written in my life. It really deserves it.

Posto che va bene per i pernotti di emergenza. Camere molto trasandate e un po' sporche. Ci sono vari servizi tra cui.il ristorante che non é nulla di speciale. Per viaggiatori di l'assaggio é perfetto, ma per rimanerci per lunghi periodi lo sconsiglio. Inoltre nella camera sono presenti anche formiche.
