Tebriz Hotel Nakhchivan

There are plenty of wonderful tourist attractions in Nakhchivan but unfortunately they are not matched by the hotel offerings. The Tebriz Hotel may be the best hotel in town but it is decidedly mediocre and seems stuck in a Soviet-era time warp. The staff seem poorly trained and somewhat unwelcoming to tourists, with the exception of the reception staff who were great. Our room smelt of stale cigarette smoke and the bathroom smelt of drains which wasn't a great start. Room facilities were somewhat lacking, for example our curtains didn't meet in the middle and didn't have blackout lining. Initially our double room was furnished with one single quilt and 2 pillows between 2 people so we had to request additional bedding, a first for me. The bathroom was cramped and poorly lit but at least the shower had plentiful hot water. There is no suitcase ramp to reception, only stairs, but the staff will help with luggage. The 2 small lifts were inadequate for a 13-storey hotel and we always had to wait for a lift. On the plus side, the view from the 13th floor restaurant is amazing, but it would be great to have a sign or map in the restaurant showing the names and position of all the sights. The hotel is very centrally located and there are restaurants (we recommend Local restaurant), tea shops and supermarkets nearby. Breakfast was a bit limited - the only coffee available was instant coffee granules and no milk. However the home-made nut-filled pastries were very tasty. I understand a new hotel is currently being built in Nakhchivan so maybe the Tebriz will up their game when there is more competition. Let's hope so.

Practical and simpel hotel, with a panoramic view, good and rich breakfast. Rooms are simpel, but with big windows. Comfortable beds, furniture and chairs. Clean and calm hotel during the night. Next to the hotel are restaurants and shops.

We stayed in this beautiful hotel for 3 nights with one of my friends. The advantages of the hotel are listed bellow: Clean rooms Good location Polite staff Good and delicious breakfast Nice disco and restaurant with different songs specially Azeri songs Good bar Disadvantages of hotel: Wifi was not strong enough No swimming pool Drinks were limited in beer and tea and cofee, nothing else was served. Altogether this hotel is one of the best places to stay in nakhchivan.

thanks to all staff inadvance, clean and good rooms . night activities was good too. pool was great . but Bar and its staff were awful and rude . they didnot even know how to behave with a guest .
