African Oceans Manor on the Beach

We were only able to stay here for one night on our way back to Cape Town from the Garden Route. The hotel is on a residential estate and like a few other properties nearby had been converted into a small high end B&B. We arrived by car (spaces available inside the hotel grounds) and checked in. We were shown the outdoor area (great view of the ocean) and then up to our ocean facing room. The room was lovely with all the features you would want for a comfortable stay. Good sized bathroom, large comfortable bed, balcony and well equipped with iron, hairdryer and safe. Breakfast was great - we had the English cooked breakfast - but the downside to it being freshly cooked that it took too long - almost an hour and we had a long drive ahead. Overall an enjoyable stay.

I carefully selected this property as a stop-off half way from Port Elizabeth and Cape Town at the end of our holiday. The reviews suggested this wasn't a gambol and wouldn't threaten to spoil what I hoped would have been the trip of a lifetime and I needn't have worried my only regret was that it wasn't a longer stay. The whole property was top-notch (sorry I can't find the words to describe it adequately) this was stop 6 of 7 and my goodness, it delivered in spades. parking, the garden and surrounding grounds, reception & public rooms were great, the bedroom and bathroom fantastic, the view phenomenal and I swear that on my next visit to SA this will figure highly and the itinerary include at least 3 nights - even though we have no idea what the town of Mossel bay has to offer (as our visit was on a Sunday and SA have clung onto the idea not to open 7 days a week)

Who stayed in the president suite and fantastic. The breakfast was very good and the service was great. Overall I can really recommend their accommodation and it was a pleasure to be there. Everything was clean and in good shape it was sterically on the ocean, so there is nothing to complain.

Very pleasant stay and very nice breakfast. Bright room overlooking the sea with excellent bed and bedding. Lovely walk on beautiful sandy beach accessible by stairs from the hotel. Located in lovely residential area 10 minutes from Mossel Bay.

We stayed just one night but wished it had been longer! The opulent presidential suit overlooked the bay & had a lovely well furnished sun terrace. A mini kitchenette with all the necessary to enjoy your own supper but local recommended restaurants were superb. Jacuzzi bathroom & great comforts throughout. The lovely Joy met us on arrival & was very helpful & even carried our heavy case upstairs! We loved our stay - thank you all.

Wonderful location, fantastic sea view, excellent breakfast and always very friendly service. We very much enjoyed our two night stay. Relaxing and enjoying the gorgeous view over the ocean and watching Dolphins playing around

Staying with Val and Neil is like staying with your loved family. The warmth welcome, the extraordinary service during our stay, the guided tours through Krüger and Neil's stories as well as his knowledge about the Krüger made this stay unbelievable and unforgettable. Val and Neil's passion is a role model for hospitality. It's definitely the best place to stay if you plan a trip to the Krüger nationalpark!

Such a lovely property. The room was exceptional large, modern with a fantastic large balcony looking straight out onto the bay. Staff really friendly with a great choice at breakfast. We wish we had stayed longer and would definitely return.

Splendid Hotel with a view second to none.We were welcomed with coffee and a bottle of water. We enjoyed watching the sky divers passing. The room was equipped with a working kitchen area. We walked on the beach and layed on the sunbeds. A comfortable plunge pool on the sundeck. The room had a roll top bath and a shower. The hotel recommended a fist restyurant and booked us in.
