The Dogana Resort is very much a 5-star hotel. It is a beautifully renovated seventeenth century palace - now with all modern features, yet without losing the simple grandeur of the building’s origins. Molfetta does is not as touristed as other larger coastal or hill towns in Puglia. In addition to feeling the rhythm of local life here, it is an excellent jumping off point for parts south, east and north. With a car there are many truly unique experiences within a few hours in each direction. At the hotel, our room (with its 15 or 20 foot high ceiling) had a balcony overlooking Molfetta’s port. We enjoyed the vantage point, including watching the local fishing boats heading out to sea and back with their catch. The hotel front desk staff are exceptional! The team was welcoming and accommodating through our visit - answering our many questions and otherwise assisting us throughout our stay. While English is not widely spoken in Molfetta, we had no problems speaking with the bilingual front desk staff. The breakfast menu is ample, with attentive service (Dominico). And of course excellent coffee. We also quite successfully used valet parking to avoid the hassle finding a parking place between day trips.

เราเพิ่งกลับจากริวาหลังจาก 7 คืน เราพักแบบอพาร์ทเม้นต์แบบ self-catering ไม่มีกาต้มน้ําหรือเครื่องปิ้งขนมปัง น้ําต้มบนเตาแต่ไม่มีกระทะปิ้งย่างเป็นทางเลือกในการทําขนมปังปิ้ง เราตระหนักได้ทันทีที่เรามาถึงมัน อยู่กลางใจและไม่มีอะไรเลยในระยะเดินเท้า พวกเขาถามเราว่าเราจ้างรถ (ประมาณ250ยูโรสําหรับ 3 วัน) แต่ผมปฏิเสธว่าขับรถไปบาร์&กลับคืนหนึ่งเย็นหมายความว่าผมไม่สามารถดื่มเครื่องดื่มได้ งไปพักผ่อนกับค็อกเทลไม่ขับรถไปทุกที่ :) รถบัสไป giovinazza คือ 1 mins เราต้องทําแบบนี้เมื่อเราต้องการร้านขายขนมปัง/นม/น้ํา ฯลฯ รถบัสไปบาร์ริก็ 30 mins เราต้องทําแบบนี้ทุกคืนเพื่อออกไปทานอาหารเย็น&เครื่องดื่ม มี pizzeria & restaurant ภายในโรงแรมให้บริการเฉพาะปลา โรงแรมพนักงานน่ารักเป็นมิตร & ช่วยเหลือ (ส่วนใหญ่) และชายหาดส่วนตัวที่สร้างขึ้นมาด้วยความที่มันห่างไกลมาก สวยมาก เราเลยไปทะเลทุกวัน (วันละ €5 ยูโร) เราพยายามไปเล่นน้ําที่สระวันแรกแต่พี่ยามเอาอุณหภูมิเราไป (covid 19) บอกว่า “โอ้โห! “ ปรากฏว่าสูงเกินไป ( แดดยัง 30 องศาด้วย) เราเลยนั่งริมสระไม่ได้ !! .. แต่ก็ไปชายหาดทุกวันที่อุณหภูมิเราไม่ได้สูงสักครั้ง อืม?? ราคาในโรงแรมเหมาะสมมากสําหรับอาหาร & เครื่องดื่ม ผลไม้สด & ต้นมะเดื่อเบอรี่สวยมาก!! โดยรวมแล้วเราได้เข้าพักที่น่ารักแต่น่าเสียดายที่ทําเลที่ตั้งของมันไกลเกินไปต้องขึ้นรถบัสทุกคืนรวมทั้งรถบัสสุดท้ายตอนสี่ทุ่มเลยไม่ได้เพลิดเพลินกับยามเย็นของเรา&อยู่ออกมาได้เซ็งนิดหน่อยและจะป้องกันไม่ให้ฉันกลับไปอีก

By far the best aspect of staying here is the host Ylenia who contacted us the day before our arrival with tips on where to park and was waiting for us. Nothing is ever too much trouble for this lovely young lady whose command of English is excellent. The location of the B & B is excellent. Close to the sea within a lovely old part of the town which seems to have been recently regenerated. The rooftop terrace is great with sea views and an outdoor shower. We were able to find free parking a 5 minute walk away. The breakfast is adequate but nothing special and we were woken by the sounds of it being set up each morning. Unfortunately, other aspects of the property let it down. As soon as you enter you can smell the damp. The smell is strongest in the breakfast room in the basement, which has a dehumidifier and pink mould on the stone walls. Our room ”Sabbia” on the ground floor also had damp issues and as reviews I have read suggest, nothing seems to have been done to properly address the issue. Peeling paint around the tiny window and in the corner of the room. There was also black mould around the base of the shower which could quite easily have been cleaned off. We also found a previous guest's toenail clipping on the bathroom floor and the area beneath the bed hadn't been cleaned in a while. The tiny bedroom window and bathroom window both opened onto the street. There is a restaurant directly outside the ground floor so no privacy with them open and with zero light and very little ventilation it is no wonder that there is a damp issue. This would also feel claustrophobic for some people. Anyone with asthma or allergies would be wise to avoid this property. We only stayed 2 nights but we discussed these issues with other guests who were experiencing the same as us. I would not recommend staying here until the issues with the damp are rectified.

We stayed here as a base for our holiday in puglia. The hotel staff were very friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were cleaned daily. The hotel is a beautiful building in a fantastic location overlooking Trani port. If you can, book a sea view room. Good choice of breakfast, but no bar or other meals/drinks on site after this time. However there are lots of resturants and cafes locally. Trani is a lovely city and not as touristy as Polignano a mare. It is very popular with Italian families. The train station is a ten minute walk from the hotel and the train service is exceptional. Clean fast trains. We booked through love holidays but in hindsight this is something you can do yourself. Love Holidays did not offer airport transfers etc....
