Our 'suite' had no drawers or dressers -- no place to put clothes; no art work on walls. In fact, it looked like they may have put in new floor and just forgot to finish the room. The web site said that we'd have a queen size bed, it was a double bed. We arrived at 3:30pm and had to wait for the room to be prepared. Yes, check-in is 4pm but I've NEVER had to wait when arriving after 3pm at a hotel. Distain at our expectation of the room being ready was palpable. We stayed four nights -- no service of the room. When asked, the front desk seemed shocked that I would expect the room to be made up. I didn't try to pool but guests who were in the hot tub indicated that it was not working -- at that point, I decided not to aggravate myself more by even attempting to use the pool/hot tub. We ate dinner 4 times; service was very poor for 3 of the 4 nights -- not in terms of timing, but in terms of SERVICE. We would have had the same level of personal service at McDonalds!!! At no time did anyone ask us if we were enjoying our stay; in fact, there was a level of indifference that was astounding. They simply didn't care. We spent the best part of $2,000 at the hotel once dinner was taken into account-- we will not return!

The path to the reception hall from the hotel lobby was difficult to walk in heels because of the gravel floor. Stairs should have rails too.

The place is dilapidated. The pool was dirty and rusty. Pool showers were dirty and outdated and poorly serviced. Walls leading to the rooms and pool area are worn out with missing paint and plaster. The hinge on our room door was broken. No safe was made available to keep any valuables The food was chef grade but the dining area looked far too basic for cuisine of that level. The tables were bare of linen and good for cafeteria style dining. The area leading to the kitchen was dirty. The dining room carpet was old and dirty looking. The resto staff was very friendly. Unfortunately they have to work there. The internet site pictures of the Auberge was of a modern reception hall building across from the Auberge but depicted as the Auberge. False advertising.. Apart from the food the only good thing was the fresh mountain air and the mountain view.

My husband and I recently stayed here for 2 nights - we upgraded to a suite. The room was okay and the bathroom had recently been redone and was super. My compliments to whomever chose the artwork in the rooms - it is terrific. Staff at the front desk were very friendly as were staff in the dining room. The food was very good especially the soups. However, dinner on our second evening was a disaster - 30 minutes between the starter and the main course and then 45 minutes between the main course and dessert. Perhaps they were short staffed but there was one waitress who spent more time chatting with 2 clients than she did serving. Apart from this disappointing meal our stay was great. A beautiful area, especially in the fall. Make sure to visit the store up at the Abbey!!

Wonderful place to relax. It is in a quiet environment. Many walking trails. The map provided indicates that most easy which is not the case as it is not on a flat surface. The rooms are well equipped, clean and confortable. The food it very good. I recommend this place.

Lots of hiking trails, clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice staff, easy free parking . Winter tubing is popular in this area.

During our 3 night stay, at no point did anyone come to our room to take care of the trash, provide new coffee pods, or offer new towels. For the price paid, we would have expected a better basic service. Further, the rooms are a bit dated for this pricing point.
