Front desk staff was unhelpful and overcharged me for tax (MAD57.2 instead of MAD29 shown on trip.com)

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a disappointing experience with the front desk staff, specifically the two girls on duty during my check-in at 9 PM. Despite my reservation, I had to wait over 30 minutes for a room, which turned out to be different from the one I booked. Despite informing them of our anniversary, the staff's response was unhelpful. The initial room's view was changed without acknowledgment, and the alternative offered was worse. Only after speaking to the manager ( it's worth noting that the manager I spoke to was exceptionally friendly and understanding) did we receive a better room, but it still wasn't the one we booked. The lack of consideration for our special occasion made it a frustrating experience overall.

Magnifique hôtel à la hauteur du Sofitel.
Le jardin est superbe très bien entretenu pour boire un verre au coucher du soleil.
Une expérience unique au restaurant So Lounge avec son chef cuisinier exceptionnel un marocain vietnamien qui vous fera voyager entre l’Asie et la cuisine marocaine, que je salue.
