Darwin City Bed & Breakfast is located in the centre of Darwin, just a short 10 minute walk to the famous Mindil Beach Markets, Cullen Bay Beach and Mitchell Street's restaurants, shops and nightlife. Guests enjoy free WiFi and a swimming pool. Located on the ground level, Darwin City Bed & breakfast boasts views of the tropical garden and pool. All rooms are air-conditioned and there are louvred windows letting in fresh air. Each room has a flat-screen TV with local and cable channels, an en suite bathroom, a built-in wardrobe and tea/coffee making facilities. Communal facilities include a kitchen with a large refrigerator, a guest laundry, a large shared verandah and a BBQ area. Guests can sit in the tropical garden and enjoy a complimentary light breakfast. You will often see birds bathing in the birdbath. Stayed in the apartment room which was clean and had good access from the front of the house. We had the place to ourselves which was very relaxing and we were able to use the pool area at any time. Room was clean, bed comfy, fridge was stocked with basic continental breakfast provisions. However, aircon was like a jet engine in the room, the apartment itself is basic, no vanity storage in the bathroom, and appliances in the apartment were old. Generally it felt in need of upgrade. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of Darwin and approx 25 mins to the waterfront. On the plus side the street it is in is very quiet.

We have just spent 10 days staying at Darwin B&B (Steele’s in Larrakeyah) and would recommend if highly. Janette, our hostess was very hospitable and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The room was spacious, breakfasts were just what we needed, the pool was most refreshing and the location is ideal - 15 minutes walk from the CBD. We had a marvellous time.
