Sands beach resort is advertised as a 4 star hotel and probably was when it opened in the 80s. Our room 301 in the Montana block was a spacious 1 bed appartment with a 'sea view' if u walk.round the corner. Its clear on the walk up to the room the standards have dropped a long time ago. The astronturf around the pull areas are all worn and coming up, a definite tripping hazard, and I wouldn't let my dog sleep on the sun loungers that hadn't already been sat on by an elephant. The lovely retro 80s brown bathroom suite was an eye opener, especially the rust all round the drain and down the front of the sunken bath which is also a nighare to get in. The outside light was held on by the electrical wire and inside was.some.of.the oldest.pine furniture sets I've seen, probably worth something in barging hunters. All in all we could see this place was once lovely and probably worthy of a 4 star rating but in all honesty I'd struggle to give it 2 stars. Maybe we were unlucky with our room, but there were too many other issues that you can't help but notice. I won't slate the cleanliness of our room, the maid came daily and was very nice, New towels everyday and the bed was comfy although we has to change the duvet due to some questionable stains on the original. I'd normally have complained but we were only.there for 4 nights and couldn't be asked packing to be moved to a less mediocre room. Won't be back as you could imagine.

Very nice hotel and amazing food. From the start we stay in Royal Level Hotel the last week of march. One think the weather was not the best , few showers around 20 degrees. Room was lovely and clean every morning. Reception helpful always sort our problem mostly direction to different part of the hotel 🤣. We was all inclusive that means every cocktail and alkohol was for free( we never paid for drink ) only charge was for pool table. Royal Level customers got two lovely heated swimming pools ( only for royals). We spent most of the time there. You can used all of the swimming pools barcelo active is well. This hotel is perfect for different kind of people . My wife got the quite area. Kids got kids clubs ( painting, circus , surfing 🌊) . I used lots of staff from Barcelo Active gym is dissent enough to do proper training. There is around 7 swimming pools in both of hotels . The most best was food . The restaurant got everything what you need . Breakfast different kind of eggs pancakes . Spanish meats and different kind of cheese 🧀. Milk section . Bread section . Smoked fish avocado guacamole enough for everyone. For lunch we used barcelo active restaurant for one reason they got pizza burgers hot dogs for my little one . In the main restaurant you got more adults food🤣. Dinners every day something different. Fishes cod , salmon every day but there is special different fish almost every day shark, marlin evil fish 🐠🐟, steak 🥩 every day different kind of meat like pork , lamb 🐑 different day , was a Spanish day , taco day , Asian day . And huge cheese section and my wife and kids cake section 🍰🎂. Table service lovely wine and cocktails. I love Italian food and seafood and I can tell there not even close to Italian 🥴 the same with Alle carte restaurant we booked Italian dolce vita seafood ravioli disaster pizza pretty good tiramisu very good. Kids love it not me🥴 what else guys remember that's volcanic island around the hotel didn't looks great but on the back of hotel near the heated pools there is back entrance perfect place for snorkeling 🤿 and really relaxing rocks with planty of crabs 🦀 we want to say thank you for a staff specially Hannah from kids clubs . Was absolutely amazing holiday

Extremely welcoming staff and clean reception area, every member of staff took the time to greet us and smile! The decor is well considered and provides a luxury feel. We were offered a complimentary coffee whilst we waited for our room to be ready. The room has everything you need and we had a lovely view of the Arrecife coast. The beds were comfortable as were the other amenities with bonus points for a great bathroom and powerful shower! Towards the evening we spent time on the top floor in the hotels 'Solarium' which featured a hot tub and more glorious views of the Arrecife coast. We would not hesitate to book again as we found our stay to represent excellent value!

We had a lovely stay a Santa Rosa. The accommodation (2 bed) for our family of 4 was clean (cleaned almost daily), modern and spacious. We opted for self-catering. It was simple to use the breakfast buffet/evening meal if you wished and very good value - but we prefer to explore. Comfy beds, large bathroom. The pool was cold but you soon adjusted and the kids loved it. Daily football and bingo was a highlight for our boys. The pool bar was really reasonably priced (€2.50 large beer). Top tip - Jumpers needed at night in Feb. Cheap taxis available (literally only €3 to the beach), but only 15 min walk to the beaches and restaurants/bars are everywhere. The Supermarket and chemist are on the doorstep. We enjoyed several trips - the short volcano tour and a catamaran tour to La Gracioca. Thank you for a fabulous stay Santa Rosa and we really hope to return again for winter sun.
