Janice and Brent were wonderful landlords! The breakfast menus were complete and excellent. The calories we gained have helped us to tour Te Papa Museum, Waterfront and surrounding areas with walking distance of circa 9km!
The landlords advised us where the best to park our rental car and interesting places to visit.
Thanks Janice and Brent!
PPortia Domonatani-DuguLocation was great, in the city. Not in a busy street so nice and quiet.
I was in a townhouse which had all the necessary amenities. Very clean.
Awesome staff. I left something behind and they were kind enough to keep it for me.
A great coffee shop and asian restaurant about 100m from the entrance which was really ideal. McDonalds down the road, 24hr dairy shop and pharmacy so location is great for business and family travellers. Also the bus stop for the bus that goes to the airport is about 200m down the road.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!
EExploring our one precious worldStayed one night at James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor for a conference held onsite.
Check-in staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel has three separate lift banks servicing different areas — if you’re unfamiliar with Wellington, definitely ask staff to explain the easiest exit route to the city. It makes a big difference.
Breakfast was a very large buffet with plenty of options, though I’ve experienced better quality elsewhere.
The hotel itself is older but has solid bones. Perfectly adequate for a work overnight stay. For personal travel I’d probably choose somewhere with more atmosphere, however it felt safe and comfortable.
One odd feature: some rooms face an internal terrace/window area — remember to close your curtains as people can see straight in.
Bed was clean and well made, the room was tidy, though the carpet is showing its age. The shower had excellent pressure and plenty of hot water — a highlight.
Overall: reliable, practical conference accommodation rather than a destination stay.
ผผู้เข้าพักThis fulfilled all my needs and more because of the ease of the process and front staff service given when I inquired. I ended up staying another night and glad I did, saving me time and allowed me to finish all I needed to. Thanks and would definitely use again.
SShiela EsmoladaI have enjoyed my stay in Richmond Hotel. The staff is very accomodating. I have arrived past the check-in period and still managed to check-in through the help of Dinah😊, even left some fresh milk in the fridge. I really appreciate it coz I was so hungry and tired after a long bus journey😊.
I also loved the bed, it aids with my sore body after a 12hr bus journey.
ผผู้เข้าพักBit of a maze to get to the room. The shower rail is detached from the wall on the lower holder. The bathroom basically floods when you have a shower to the point the water started running out into the bedroom. There is no handle to the sliding door of the bathroom door and it easily comes off the track.
The state of the cups and facilities in the room is pretty dirty. I didnt use any of the cups as I found it had a layer of grease inside the cups.
Overall not as pleasant as I had hoped it woulb be.
But the location was awesome, right in the middle of town.
