"Me and my boyfriend went here at the end of June. Highly dissappinted with the experience here. The pictures look very different to the actual hotel and beach. Beach is quite rocky with seaweed everywhere and as you go in it’s really pebbly which the pictures don’t show. Room was alright nothing special. Quite a few bugs in the rooms. Not worth the money here we found a lot of the people quite rude made us feel quite unwelcomed. Some of the staff were nice but majority didn’t make an effort. Food was awful we couldn’t find anything we liked. The only thing that was okay was the Italian restaurant there which is included but they don’t have a massive variety there either. The drinks were ok. Beer was flat. Pool was nice and large not very deep though. Entertainment was rubbish good for kids but not really much for the adults later on. The water park included was horrendous the staff were so so rude to us English, they let another couple from the hotel get in for free and we had to pay but when I asked for a refund as we should be getting in for free they refused. Food there is disgusting aswell. Never felt so unwelcome anywhere as we did at this hotel and water park. The only thing we did like about this holiday was the pool and also the village that is a 15 minute walk away. Was lovely there and staff there were so so nice. Lots of restaurants and bars in that village, a lot livelier and beach is alot nicer there. We ate there instead of at the hotel as we despised the food. Waste of money for the all inclusive and pictures are definitely edited to make it look better. Would definitely not stay again."

Grand Blue Beach Hotel

"We were a little worried about our choice of hotel after some of the earlier reviews but we needn’t have been. We spent a very relaxing 7 days in the resort which is in a great location- only 15 minutes drive from the airport and a short 10 minute stroll into Kardamena. Our junior suite was newly renovated and very spacious. Beds were comfortable and we had a lovely view of the sea. On arrival there was bottled water in the room although I would have liked this to have been topped up throughout our stay. The resort has three pools and we spent most of our time at Seebreeze where the entertainment was. The entertainers themselves were brilliant- very friendly but not overly pushy to get you involved if you preferred to just relax. A special mention to the two ladies who worked hard at the Seebreeze bar all day with a smile. At the bar there were snacks served each day, usually small pizza squares, sandwiches, salad and then a hot option such as burger or hotdog. We did feel that there could have been more of a selection for lunch at the bars but you have the option of heading to the main restaurant for lunch if you prefer more options. We all found the food delicious and hot. Breakfast consisted of traditional English options such as omelettes, eggs, bacon etc. pancakes, plus continental options and Greek yoghurt with fruits etc. On an evening the lower ground restaurant served more basic options such as chips and chicken gyros, whilst the Panorama restaurant upstairs had themed evening each night such as Asian, Mediterranean etc. They also served freshly cooked pizzas which were delicious and Greek salads with beautiful feta and huge olives. We always found the food hot and the service was great. Didrka was an especially friendly and excellent member of staff working in the restaurant and is a huge asset to the hotel. Entertainment wise, we enjoyed the majority of the evening entertainment. The karaoke and quiz night, live band and Greek night were highlights. The Latin night was the only one that we felt a bit underwhelmed at! As others have mentioned the hotel is on a steel hill but we managed this fine although I can imagine it would be a bit more of a chore in the July/August heat. We did call for a buggy on a couple of occasions and they arrived within minutes and our children found it an experience in itself! The resort of ****** is a 10 minute walk away if that and is definitely worth a visit. Some beautiful shops, bars and restaurants. We had a lovely day and evening meal. All in all a beautiful and relaxing holiday where the staff and other guests were very friendly and the views were breathtaking. Thank you to the staff for a great week and we hope to be back."

"We had a great time! Absolutely loved the pool and pool bar. The room was basic, but everything was clean and we had everything we needed. The only thing that was a little less great was the shower. The water goes everywhere, but there is a drain in the middle of the bathroom as well, so I guess that is just the setup. Something I really think they can do better is breakfast. No scrambled eggs or bacon etc. So we ended up skipping breakfast and trying different places around the Kos Town instead."

"Stayed here for 1 week in September. I’ll start with the things I liked about this hotel: - Most of the staff are really welcoming and smiley - nice little patch of beach and sunbeds, I noticed most of the neighbouring hotels have to cross a main road to get to the beach, which isn’t the case here - Decent price, we did this holiday on a budget - There’s no mad rush to get a sunbed of a morning due it it being quiet - there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel so getting to Kos town is super easy Things I didn’t like: - daily charge for the air con. In reality you’re almost definitely getting air con so it seems a bit of a scammy way for the hotel to advertise a cheaper rate online - the swimming pool really needs some love, it was filthy - there was no music at the ‘top bar’ so there was no atmosphere of an evening. The beach bar had music but shut as early as 7pm despite advertised opening hours of 10pm. I appreciate this may be due to it being near the end of season and so quieter. - some of the staff were short/grumpy, again, this may be because they’re on the tail end of a full season and overworked On balance the hotel was decent enough, it certainly did the job, but I don’t think I would return - it needs a bit of love from the owners I think. If you’re not planning on being in the hotel much this may be fine, but if you want to stay by the pool some days then I would look elsewhere. Also, if youre under 30 I’d avoid this hotel as the average age is easily 50+ and there’s not much going on of an evening. 3 stars from me."

"Booked a standard graden room, turned out to be a catastrophe: fridge in the mini bar humming so loud one could barely sleep, road directly in front of the room with loud vehicles passing and uncomfortable bed) - slept less than 4hours first night. Then were given the option to move to another standard room which did not have a loud road but for whatever reason had same issue with the fridge. After complaining again were upgraded to better room which was nice (bed nevertheless not comfortable). Lost 2 out of 4 nights to terrible rooms. Overall cannot recommend hotel. If you want to stay make sure only to book higher categories - standard room is absolutely not acceptable - a shame for a supposedly 5* hotel. Other negative aspects: breakfast only okish, food and the restaurant very very mediocre at truly elevated prices & outrageous wine pricing (60€ retail wine sold for 370€..) with no decent drinkable cheaper wines On the positive sides: very nice beach, good service at the beach, nice/cool interior design."
