Akti Palace Hotel

The staff here , have some of the best customer service skills I have ever encountered. Nothing is too much for them, and they go out of their way to make you enjoy your holiday as much as possible. We turned up after 1130 at night, due to flight delays and lots of other issues. The receptionist saw how stressed we were and immediately got our cases sorted along with making sure we got a drink from the bar to take up with us. The room was clean and tidy with a coffee machine and fridge stocked with beer, wine, water and juice, very nice. Bed was amazingly comfy and the pillows were perfect! One negative I would say about the room is, please take an eye mask with you if you like to sleep in the dark! Our room was above a street light and the curtains are not lined, so it's not really dark at night and the sun comes through really early. The main restaurant is buffet style, there are other restaurants, but were quite booked up, so we just used the main one. Food was pretty much the same most days, but they do change the main dishes everyday, ie, lasagne, stew etc. If I had to say anything negative, that is all the meats were overcooked all the time. Couldn't cut my pork chop so fingers it was! Wasn't an issue tbh , just sometimes more chewy than I like. The swimming pool is gorgeous, plenty of sunbeds, so much so that we followed the shade round the pool by charging sunbeds most of the day lol The pool bar is nice, food is good too,, the banana ice cream a particular favourite of mine! The beach is right behind the pool, bit disappointed here I'm afraid. Access to the beach, you do at your own risk. The 'path', is old wooden painted pallets, but the are not even, as I found out when I tripped on one and nearly faceplanted the beach! Also , the beach part looks messy, a lot could be done here if the effort was put in. We walked out to the sea, beware, the shoreline is just riddled with hidden, slippery rocks, but you can go out quite a way before you cannit touch the seabed. We did not stay here long as we didn't find it a pleasant place to sit to be honest. This resort is relaxing and calming. If you want noise and chaos, then you can use the sister hotel next door which is Akti Beach Hotel. In the evenings , the sound from that hotel carries over to our one. I hope I have given a fair opinion of a lovely hotel. It's not perfect, but me and my partner both said we would happily stay here again and we do not normally go back to the same place twice!

Akti Palace is a beautiful well maintained hotel in a lovely setting but it l lacks “Greekness” it could’ve been anywhere in the world . The rooms were lovely and the foods plentiful though the Akti beach food is far superior. The majority of the staff have little or no interest in the guests and we found the Head Waiter very rude. When I asked him for a cereal spoon one morning he said find a table and you’ll find a spoon and he walked away. We’d obviously not have been getting food if we didn’t have a table . Kardamena itself is a beautiful place though and the free shuttle bus was a Godsend

We have just returned from a perfect relaxing week holiday at Akti palace. We were initially welcomed late at night by the lovely George who took our cases to our room and offered drinks/food. We found the resort very peaceful (just what we needed) but we had the opportunity to go to the other Akti resort for more entertainment if necessary for the children. We never had to rush to get sunbeds, always lots available and made most of the free water sports available- great little perk! The waiters/waitresses also work hard to clear tables and get you drinks. The food at lunch was more flame grilled meat and salad which we enjoyed and the dinner was a variation of buffet options. Top tip is to book into the other restaurants as soon as you arrive as we nearly missed out on this opportunity due to our dates and capacity. We also visited Karmeda by using the free resort bus service - worked well and only a short distance away. Only constructive feedback is to perhaps have more food options for children. Especially if offering child places! We are considering coming back as enjoyed it so much!

Akti Palace Spa I had a back massage and a facial this afternoon and it was wonderful. My whole body feels relaxed from head to toe, so relaxed in fact I fell fast asleep during my treatment. The pressure was just right. I would highly reccomend this treatment. My therapist was called Sophia and she made me feel very welcome. I will definitely book again! Thank you

if you like an adventure go to akti palace, never a dull moment. for example a million ants in your room, bed and clothes. Broken shower & broken toilet in all the rooms we had. FYI we had 4 rooms in 12 days! If you want to loose some wait pls go to Akti Palace, The food is so teriible t hat you will be skinny by the end of your hols. The best diet ever!! If you don't like a friendly guest relataion manager, pls go to akti palace. She does not know that you excist. The only 10/10 I can give is for the staff in the restaurant and bar. If you like to fight afterwards with the touroperatour, pls book this hols with TUI. Trust me you will have a very interesting experience with the hotel and the tourporator when you get back. If you like a Horror holiday, pls book this holiday. Trust me you will be disappointed.!

There are a lot of good things about this hotel. The setting is great, the grounds are lovely and the pool area is nice with plenty of good quality loungers. The food is good and I found a varied choice. Bus into Kardamena is a plus and very reliable. Also a bonus being able to use all the facilities of the akti beach. What lets it down for me is that it is marketing itself as a 5* but does not seem to have enough staff or quality products to deliver this. All staff seemed rushed and overworked - it was very difficult to attract attention to get drinks or service during dinner. The staff are mostly lovely - just far too busy. The main gripe for me though is the drinks offer. All drinks were of a poor standard. The orange juice at breakfast was sugary rubbish, the coffee was poor and the alcohol offerings terrible. There are no branded drinks apart from baileys - this would not be an issue if the drinks were quality, but they were not. The cocktails were all pre-made and sugary. The wine was usually not chilled at dinner. I am sure this is a key way the hotel is making savings which I understand, but then it maybe needs to downgrade the star rating accordingly. The other annoyance for me was having to traipse to the spa to collect fresh beach towels and being given the hard sell whilst there everytime. Spa is also at the other end of the resort from the pool and beach.

Just back from a week’s stay with our two teenage daughters. We booked 2 of the gf apartments with private pool access (for 4 gf apartments). Upon arrival ‘George’ a very friendly staff member offered us refreshments and directed us to the buffet for snacks which was welcomed after a 5hr + journey to get there. We arrived around midnight. We were then disappointed to discover that our apartment did not have any electricity so we were eventually taken to another for our first night (at about 1.30am). Not ideal and even less ideal when we were advised we’d have to vacate this room before 9am. We complained about this but in the end our desire to get to our original apartment and unpack was greater than the need to sleep on. So off we went to reception to see what was happening. We got our keycards and after about half an hour an electrician arrived and fixed the issue. We asked reception to make a note and to consider granting us a free late check out upon departure for our inconvenience. They did do this but we didn’t have it confirmed until 6pm the day before departure. We found most of the staff to be friendly and helpful - bar staff near restaurant vg - barman at pool bar - vg but quite a lot of the waiters and waitresses could try a lot harder and you have a bit of a wait for tea/coffee/water to be brought by them at mealtimes - other resorts we’ve stayed in have machines for hot water & coffee & buckets with ice and water bottles so you can help yourself rather than ‘inconvenience’ the staff. I’d say the food was ok. Better on some days than others and it tends to be a lot of the same stuff. There’s a good selection of things to eat at every mealtime but it’s just not up to the standard of other hotels we’ve stayed at. The pool bar was quite nice for lunch with a decent selection of salads/fruit and some hot things. The beds were comfortable, the rooms given a tertiary clean daily with a towel change when you need it. But be warned the cleaner likes to come early at 8.30am and will let you know her displeasure if you ask her to come back later! Not a great attitude for a quick glass rinse bin empty and a sweep up! Sheets weren’t changed but that may be the norm? The fridge top up guy comes shortly after at about 9am and you can get water wine fizzy juice fruit juice and beer so that was a nice touch. There are birds nests everywhere including over some of the lights near your sleeping accommodation and over the top of some tables in the dining area so whilst it’s nice to wake to the sound of a dawn chorus, if it’s at 4am every day that’s not so nice! You will need swim shoes for the beach as it’s pebbled and very rocky leading into the sea - I recommend getting your own for £5/6 before you leave rather than pay €15 from the local shop! And get down there quick, there not that many beds. I will say that the private shared pools are very nice - they have signs up letting you know who the beds at poolside are for and the pools are abou
