Ambassador Plaza Hotel

This is a big capacity hotel, it is not a medium size hotel. They have a few buildings, assumably for 250-300 people in capacity. If you are ready to have bed and breakfast, then staying in this hotel is fine. Pros: -Location. It is in Kemer centre; -restaurant food is good in general. Very hard working and nice personal of the restaurant. Perhaps the only plus of this hotel; Cons: -no lobby bar, -some little bar in the terrace does not work as a place where they really happy to see you for a drink. They usually welcome you with the bitter face when you come to that little bar. If you want turkish coffee, you have to pay $1.00 for it. Normal coffee machine rarely works. They will offer you instant coffee instead; -The alcohol bar by the pool area has very loud unpleasant music. It seems like they just want you to grab a drink and go; -the barmen in alcohol bar demanded russian-speaking people to talk to him in english, turkish or german only- very rude chap. - the snack bar is locked and served by the waiters. But waiters are never there; -Few tables on the terrace bar have no umbrellas against the sun- they don't expect or want you to stay there; -The pool is very small, maybe for 5-7 people to swim in it. -beach is overcrowded, there is no enough beds for amount of people staying in the hotel. You have to go to the other beach and pay for a bed if you want to spend some time by the sea. At the end, taking all cons and pros into consideration, it is worth just to take bed and breakfast hotel in the area, go to the nice beaches and restaurants around, which will cost you the same amount you spend in this hotel. I know this place very well, I come to Kemer with friends every year. This hotel is the worst you can choose from.

Some of these reviews honestly make me fear for the intelligence of my compatriots. Let's get one thing out of the way - this is not your usual British Holiday all-inclusive with free-flowing drinks and drunken people roasting by the pool. Thank goodness for that. It has to be said though that the hotel caters mostly for Russian tourists (99% of the visitors are Russian) and that can be felt in some of the interactions with the staff, who have a limited command of English and as such I think can come across as not super nice. I had pleasant interactions with all though. From other reviews I gather that some of the further hotel buildings are terrible, I was in the annex just in front of the hotel and I have no complaints. The room was spacious enough, and while not the height of luxury it had everything I could have needed. The Aircon worked really well and kept the room at a good stable temperature throughout (no bouts of freezing air Vs heat). The balcony was a nice addition though no views so a bit underwhelming. The room was cleaned daily to a good standard and all towels replaced, no complaints about the housekeeping staff. The main hotel building is nice and well maintained. The pool is small but I always saw it empty - probably because there weren't a lot of guests when I visited. Everyone here seems to prefer the beach anyway (as do I). The beach Is on a lovely bit of coastline. Pebbles, but this shouldn't come as a big surprise and appropriate shoes can be purchased in the corner shop. The only issue here is the size of the beach - it's so small that sunbeds have to be placed very close together and there's only so many in the sun. I think I would have found it frustrating in high season, having to move from shade to sunshine and not finding any room. I can imagine how that would impact some people's experience of the place - I would wager the hotel has expanded beyond what is feasible with the extra buildings. The food I found of good quality, with an above average buffet for an all-inclusive. Breakfast choices were limited, but lunch and dinner were fine, with very high quality food, if sometimes a bit bland. I was glad not to see tourist baby foods like chicken nuggets, it caters to people who eat real food. I did miss some Turkish cuisine staples though - no iskender, doner meat once but without pita bread etc. Overall though it was good, and with plenty of seating. I visited the spa and purchased the "Turkish bath package", which was pleasant. It seemed a bit too rushed throughout and the staff performing it were nice, but spoke no English so communication was pretty hard. The pricing was a bit much considering it was practically what I paid for the room per night (£40 for the 90 minute package) and the staff were competent but again, a bit rushed. I didn't check the time throughout but found myself back in my room exactly 90 minutes after the appointment, so overall it must have lasted 1hr tops. WiFi was good and with gre

Just back from a 10 day stay at this hotel, well where do I start! On arrival my friend and I were put in block 5 yes we got pool view if we wanted to stand and look out window, balcony view was trees not good , we did get change of room to main building with pool view to which we were very happy with. During change of room I left my necklace, and when I enquired about it nothing found, well I hope the person who found and kept it is happy with it ,it was very sentimental to me as it was a locket with a picture of my late mum and I inside. I am not one for lying about the pool always prefer beach but in this case not a chance, beach so cramped not even space to fit your foot between beds and you get charged £10 per day to use pier ( shocking ) This is the worst all inclusive hotel I have ever stayed in I’m glad it wasn’t my first stay in turkey as it would have put me off ever going back, You get charged for everything Wi-Fi well this is a joke you get charged per device £15 per person , room safe chargeable and as I said the pier . We found the majority of staff to be rude and never smile. While eating in the restaurant I was attacked by the resident ginger cat it broke the skin on my hand , when I went to reception to ask if they had any antiseptic cream 2YOUNG BOYS laughed Not acceptable. 2nd day in no red wine for dinner ITS FINISHED! Then NO VODKA FINISHED FOLLOWED BY NO RAKI FINISHED My friend who is diabetic was told no cola light go to shop and buy it yourself this is unacceptable and disgraceful. As we no option but to stay by the pool we choose to use the upper decking sun area during our stay we witnessed it got a spot clean twice in this time not good, drinks left from night before along with food rubbish ect .

Really bad hotel put in an annexe min 2 star , crap food , crap WiFi, crap drinks when they had any , crap staff except millek at the small bar/hut at cell block H ,block 5 , have to pay for the safe which you could pick up wasn't attached to anything , do you see where I'm going with this ? Do not go here

Read the reviews and unfortunately all the warnings I ignored and carried on. Don't come here if British. The staff hate us. Such a shame as Kemer is a lovely place and the miserable attitude of the staff really stings. The food is OK if you like bread, chicken nuggets or f all. The drinks are s##e. Service is laboured. Just feel everyone hates us. Such a shame. Oh WiFi is limited. And as British we've been ousted to block 5....with the non Russian guests. Just save your money n book somewhere else !!

Just returned from a week here,reception were friendly and helpful we were given a room in an annex which was nice and 2 minutes from main building and pool.The hotel location is excellent and close to beach marina and town with all the shops and bars.We used Maxwell tours right opposite for excursions such as a boat trip which was great value.We had coffee in mornings at the buffet and patisserie area bar which which was one of a few levels and terraces to sit.The main bar area was nice for daytime drinks and nights with a selection of cocktails included and local spirits with Tuborg gold beer.Staff are friendly if your polite and want to chat or joke.Fresh gozleme is available free of charge and very nice.The main restaurant we were happy with it's large and nice and cool,the show cooking part and great fresh pide were the best parts.We saw the beach area and weren't impressed as no alcohol included and very busy and stoney so stayed pool side which was very clean and refreshing during temperatures in the 40s.To improve id like more live music at night and at least beer available at the beach,also a toaster at the breakfast buffet would be good.Overall we were happy and enjoyed our stay and holiday in Kemer resortThankyou,Paul and Kelly from England.

After reading the reviews we were a bit worried about this hotel, but we left it late to book so didn't have much choice. The location of the hotel is very good, a short walk into Kemer Town centre which is full of the usual Turkish shops, clothes, food, bars etc & also a short walk across the road to the beach. The bench itself is horrendous. They have only a small area & have crammed as many sunbeds as possible on there, you are literally touching the person next to you, and if they smoke and you don't, can be a issue. The sea is lovely & warm to swim in, but as with the beach, crammed with people, unless you swim right out of the main area. The hotel is made up of a few buildings, we booked 2 rooms, which they didn't have together, so they gave us a large family room on the top floor of building 5, away from the main building. The room was ok, jacuzzi in room which didn't work, shower was terrible & we had cockroaches living under the bath, but had a nice big balcony & decent view of the pool. I would recommend building 5, it has its own pool, small in size but we were there for 10 days & pretty much had the pool to ourselves for a good deal of the time. The pool in the main building was always busy & hectic, from what we saw when we went there for food. We only went into the main building to eat, the restaurant is a decent size with plenty of choice, unless you are vegetarian or vegan& it doesn't really cater for British people. The food seemed to be geared towards Russians. On that point, we were the only British people in the hotel, not a problem for us, but the hotel staff hardly spoke a word of English & we couldn't communicate properly with many of them. On the staff, I would say there wasn't enough of them, they weren't particularly friendly, possibly due to language barrier, although you don't need to speak to smile or acknowledge guests. At the bars, they were moody & didn't make you feel welcome. Paper cups were predominantly used, which is fine poolside but you expect a glass from bars or in the restaurant. I would recommend Kemer as a location, but would steer clear of this hotel. Having been to a few places All Inclusive in Turkey, this is by far the worst & the hidden charges, for Wi-fi, room safe & sun beds are unnecessary. If we hadn't had the room in block 5 & the lovely pool, this holiday would have been a disaster. Avoid at all costs.

We stayed at Ambassador Plaza in the beginning of August 2022, even though our stay had been booked about a month in advance, we arrived on the night of our second day of a 7 day stay, our room wasn't ready or prepared and we had to wait some time in the hotel lobby. After that we were escorted to our room by a golf cart which was nice since our room was located in another building, about two blocks away from the main hotel building. The main light in our room was unfortunately broken but the two remaining bedlamps offered decent lighting for the room for us to be ok. All though we payed for all inclusive, we wouldn't rate this stay as an "all inclusive", for instance, the WiFi had to be bought per day and per person as the code provided only allowed for one connection at a time. We were offered towel cards that could be handed in for beach towels at a towel station, however we were informed that all the towels were handed out already when we went there on our first day and were told to return at 4pm to try again. If you wanted a good seat by the main pool or at the beach, you'd have to be there early to reserve your seats, at the beach you could pay extra for chairs located at the pier with personal parasol which we did once, prices were not fixed for this and seemed to vary by day depending on the staff who worked, some days the prices were alot higher than the day before ... Luckily our separate building had its own pool that were abit smaller but less crowded which was a nice touch. All facilities at the hotel closed at 18:30 every day except for the bar which was open until 23:00, As for the drinks in the bar, it was not possible to order alcohol free options other than coca cola, Fanta, sprite or juice. The alcoholic drinks tasted OK but the beer seemed to be of a lower %, sometimes glasses were given but mainly we received our drinks in paper cups both at the bar and in the restaurant. At the beach bar the only thing that was included at "All Inclusive" was Water, Coffee and Tea All though the beach bar had good varieties of food that tasted good! As for the buffet in the main restaurant the Salad buffet and fruit section had alot of varieties and were fresh every day, the cooked food was unfortunately a disappointment throughout the week, most of the food was unseasoned and similar in preparation every day. The deserts was good however they only served baklava one night (out of 7). Overall though, what heightened our experience was the staff, who were kind and helpful.
