Hotel is in a great location. Only 10/15 minutes on transfer bus from hotel. Near main shops and a nice stroll to the port. The hotel staff very friendly and great English. Breakfast was delicious something for everyone. Freshly made to order omelettes which were delicious, fried egg scrambled however you wanted it cooked they made it. The green room was excellent, complimentary snacks, soft drinks alcohol was a lovely gesture. Also we hired bikes from next door which was part of the hotel for €16 euros for the whole day which was excellent value. The pool area was good but pool was cold so just spent my time in the jacuzzi my partner braved the cool pool lol Lovely quiet room on 3rd floor, the only thing that was annoying was the double bed was 2 singles pushed together, 2 separate sheets and quilts too the beds just moved apart earlier as weren’t hooked together. But overall a great hotel and would stay again. 🌞
Was there 3 nights in May. Had compact but well -designed single room. Great location, new & bright, excellent staff, and wonderful breakfast at 8.5 euros. Google Maps route (Esplanda that becomes Ses Moreres - RT Bastió that becomes Deià that becomes s'Arravaleta - RT Placa del Princep) is a relatively easy walk from the bus terminal with hourly civic buses from the airport. (Excellent airport facilities at Mahón. The public island bus service - pay by cash - is great for all of Menorca!) Unfortunately, no coffee maker in Jume rooms. You can pay a euro for a teabag or instant coffee in the lobby (free cookie!) or take your own tea/coffee, use the lobby kettle & return to your room by the elevator. I used the hotel website to book. I definitely recommend Jume-Urban Rooms.
Super friendly hotel staff. Hotel rooms are being modernised but ours hadn’t been yet but we had a beautiful view of the marina. Beds were comfy, room was clean but furniture tired and dated. Breakfast was great, always plenty of fruit, cereal, cooked breakfast items with additional eggs/ pancakes cooked to order. Evening menu varied and good quality. Great location being close to the marina and harbour although there are lots of steps down to it. However, a few minutes walk there is a lift directly down to the marina. 20 minute walk along the marina and harbour with lots of bars and restaurants along the way. Being October when we visited quite a few were closing for end of season. By the harbour, where the cruise ships moor up, there is another lift taking you up to the town centre with lots more shops, bars, restaurants and market. Overall a beautiful place that is very clean, friendly and felt safe. Highly recommended.
ผผู้เข้าพักDifficult to grade this hotel as it’s not the kind we’d normally choose, but as this was chosen for us by our tour company for an overnight stay during our Cami de Cavalls island tour, we checked in with the lovely and very friendly staff and were then .. well.. let’s be kind and say our room was … bijou Again, it was all very clean with plenty of white towels that were fine, but imagine will need replacing soon enough.. But seriously.. I say bijou.. and there’s small and there’s small, there was barely enough room to get round the bed.. the air con is a three speed ceiling fan, so luckily for us it was a cool May so really wasn’t needed, but imagine things are very different in August. The bathroom was adequate, but oh boy, we learned quickly not to leave the fan in as it only made the drains smell twice as bad to the point of nearly reporting to reception, and if staying longer likely would have done.. Breakfast was adequate.. but honestly, there was a tray of cold meats and cheese we didn’t go near as we couldn’t decide to knock off the shelf accidentally so a new lot would have to brought out, or just sing Happy Birthday to it.. there was a plate of scrambled egg that, we avoided, so went for the safe option of toast and jam with machine coffee and juice from a shop bought jar with the screw on lid.. and risked a couple of pastries Like I said at the start, for the price, you have a clean and comfortable bed, and even have the option of breakfast in the morning.. it’s just somewhere we personally wouldn’t choose to return to.. we’re sure it will continue to be full through the year.. what I couldn’t get is how there are 30+ higher graded hotels than this in town??
ผผู้เข้าพักThis hotel was booked for us by our travel agent. It’s only 11 minutes from the airport and located near the center of Mahon and the port. There aren’t any beaches in this immediate location so you’ll either need a car, taxi, or excursion to get to beaches if that’s what you’re looking for. If it’s the only thing you’re looking for, stay in another town where beaches are in walking distance. I’d hate for the area to get a bad review because assumptions were made. It’s got it’s own charm and it should be appreciated. Check-in was easy. Don’t fret when you see the sign to enter the reception area. It says hostal, but the reception area is for both the hostal of the building you walk into and the separate hotel rooms you’ll stay in in another building. Our room was on the first floor. It was a good size, clean, with simple decorations. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure strong, and the hot water was HOT. You shouldn’t have an issue relaxing here and getting a good night’s rest. The breakfast was very good and we loved the B&B feel. You had someone serving you breakfast, coffee, etc. It added a nice personal touch. The room was made daily and they did a phenomenal job. There was no safe in the room, but the area is extremely safe and there are cameras in the lobby area. The area is picturesque. Part of its charm is getting lost in the narrow streets and I advise you do. Menorca sticks to its Spanish roots and traditions so expect it to be very quiet after lunch. Some stores and restaurants even close until dinner time which is pretty late (8:00pm). This was the case when we arrived, but it did give us plenty opportunity for pictures without battling tourists for a “good spot”, lol. There isn’t a “nightlife” here in the traditional sense. Your best bet would be near the boardwalk. You’ll want to stay in another town for that which we were told is the “party area”, but after being in Menorca for a few days we learned the island itself is much slower paced and traditional. We appreciated that since we came from Barcelona where it’s much more crowded and busy. Lastly, parking would’ve been tough and we didn’t rent a car. Having a car would’ve probably made things a little easier and cheaper. We had to go to Fornells which is 25 minutes away for our excursion departures. At the time of writing, it was about 35 euros for a trip there and another 30-35 for the trip back. You can make the decision on if you’d benefit from a car, but for us being here a few days it didn’t make the most sense. All in all, I’d highly recommend this hotel and ended up enjoying the location, slow pace, and relaxing vibes.
Just returned from a 7 day break at Sagitario Playa Hotel Really couldn’t fault it. Very relaxing, which is what my partner Sue and I wanted. The hotel was very very clean and the pool was cleaned every day including a man going out every morning at 7.30 to clear all away the leaves that had fallen from the trees during the night. The food, which was Buffet style was very varied, with lots of choice, some to my liking some not, but there was plenty to enjoy, the Carved Roast Beef was excellent. The entertainment was always enjoyable and the Saturday night Dancing, compared very much to Strictly with the Locals coming in for the evening. I have to thank the Bar staff, BL, Juan and Marko, who always seemed to remember which drink you liked. The Hotel has invested this year, with new Sun Loungers around the pool, plus Rattan Furniture seating, with cushions. The pool has a gentle step entrance created this year to the pool and for those with mobility issues, this is a great addition. We had room 208 which has the sun all through the day and has a great view over the pool All in all, the holiday was money well spent. I recommend this hotel to those who want peace and quiet and a relaxing time
HHymn_The location is very pretty, on cobbled streets and narrow passages but very close to the main street. The staff was very kind and helpful and patient with us, even though we couldn't speak the language right. the rooms are spacious and excellently tidy and aesthetically pleasing. they have a common area with an open roof where you can stargaze on summer nights.
