"Wonderful hotel and service was above and beyond. The location is brilliant because it’s closer to the rice terraces than any other but you will need to ask the hotel owner to collect you from the car park because it’s a 30 min walk otherwise. They also helped me to arrange a bus back to Guilin and called the driver for me as well as helping me to buy a ticket for the Huangluo Yao village show. The room itself is beautiful and the pictures were extremely accurate"

"中文簡評： 我們在中國旅行將近五個月，這是我們最喜歡的酒店之一。房間寬敞、乾淨又舒適，窗外就是壯觀的龍脊梯田。老闆一家非常熱情，親手製作的當地美食十分美味，尤其是竹筒糯米飯。我們還品嚐了他們自釀的糯米酒和楊梅酒。雖然語言交流有一點困難，但溝通一直很順利。這裏無論住宿還是餐飲，性價比都非常高。我們真心推薦這家酒店給每一位來到龍脊梯田的遊客。 --- Our stay at this hotel was one of the highlights of our journey through China. After spending almost five months travelling across the country in total, we can honestly say this was one of our favourite places to stay. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the Longji Rice Terraces. From the moment we arrived, the owners made us feel genuinely welcome. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and always happy to help. They even showed us the trail leading to the Golden Buddha Viewpoint, making it easy to explore the breathtaking rice terraces on foot. Even though the weather wasn't perfect during our visit, the scenery was still absolutely stunning. Our room exceeded all expectations. It was spacious, spotless, beautifully designed, and felt brand new. The large, comfortable bed, the modern smart toilet, the excellent shower, and especially the bathtub overlooking the rice terraces made it a place we genuinely looked forward to returning to after a day of hiking. The food deserves special praise. Almost everything was prepared with fresh local ingredients, many of them grown, produced, or gathered by the family themselves. Every meal was delicious, and the bamboo-cooked sticky rice was especially outstanding—we would highly recommend trying it. Breakfast was a traditional local noodle soup with fresh vegetables. As travellers from Europe, we're simply more used to a Western-style breakfast, but we really appreciated the opportunity to experience an authentic local breakfast. It was prepared with great care, tasted very good, and guests who enjoy Chinese breakfast will almost certainly love it. As a special gesture, we were welcomed with a small gift and were invited to try homemade glutinous rice wine as well as a delicious homemade Yangmei （Chinese bayberry） liqueur. Both drinks were generously offered by the family and made us feel more like guests in their home than customers in a hotel. Although there was a small language barrier, communication was never a problem. Whenever needed, the family immediately used a translation app. Combined with a few words of English, a few words of Chinese from our side, plenty of smiles, and a bit of sign language, everything worked surprisingly well and always felt warm and effortless. We were travelling by bicycle and could safely leave our bikes outside the hotel without any concerns. The only thing worth mentioning is that there is no elevator, so guests with limited mobility or heavy luggage should be aware that stairs are required. For us, however, this was only a very minor point compared to everything else. Finally, we have to mention the incredible value for money. Both the accommodation and the food were exceptionally reasonably priced for the quality we received. Everything—from the room and the hospitality to the meals—far exceeded our expectations. What makes this place truly exceptional is not only the beautiful rooms, the outstanding food, or the spectacular location—it is the warmth and hospitality of the family. They created an atmosphere that felt genuine and personal, and they made our stay unforgettable. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful experience. If we ever return to the Longji Rice Terraces, we wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else."
