Parrot Cove Lodge

Our week at Parrot Cove Lodge was marvelous. My wife and I were treated like family by the staff. The facility is clean and comfortable. The hosts, Chef Rob and Cory provide delicious food, a delightful staff, and daily entertainment opportunities. I highly recommend a stay with my new friends, Maritsa, Emmalyn, King, Leticia, Mike, Dejean, Kira, and Rico the Parrot!

One of the best places we have ever gone! We stayed at Parrot Cove but were part of the Beaches and Dreams all inclusive amenities. Our rooms at Parrot Cove were top notch! Beds were extremely comfortable and rooms very clean. We loved Rico the parrot! The food at Beaches and Dreams was amazing! Something different every night and the wait staff was so friendly, attentive and organized. They always knew what time our excursions were and ensured that we knew what time to report for breakfast. Milky, Miss P, Amanda, Carlin (buser), Ben (bartender) You all rock! Thanks for taking such good care of us! The excursions were so fun. Cave tubing, snorkeling and the Mayan Ruins gave a variety of activities and experiences. Victor was the best tour guide ever! Manatees right off the beach at the resort. The only complaint was the sand flies, but that certainly has nothing to do with the resort! Bring lots of Deet and hydrocortisone! But do it, you won’t regret it!

Our stay at this place was so good that it's hard to find a place to start. First, all of the staff were extremely nice and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and had an amazing view of the Carribean Ocean. The lodge is about a mile from Hopkins so we had easy access to the town, but the restaurant in the lodge is so good, there was no need to leave the premises. Our only regret is that we didn't stay here for our entire Belize trip.

We ended our 2+ week tour of Belize with a relaxing stay at Parrot Cove Lodge in Hopkins. The facility was very nice, with a salt-water pool, easy access to the beach (fronting the property), and a very nice restaurant. The hotel is located in a ***** of other hotels and restaurants in False Sittee Point, about a mile and a half from Hopkins Village. We happened to meet Chef Rob, as well as his silent partner in the business, and very much enjoyed our conversations. The front office staff (Emily and Maritsa) are delightful, and were very helpful making suggestions about nearby services and restaurants. Eddy, the porter, cheerfully helped us with our copious luggage. The restaurant staff, for the most part, was also excellent (DiJon in particular was very informative, both for dinners and for the complimentary breakfasts). We did have one evening of not quite such superb service, but not a huge deal. Every single person on staff was warm and friendly. Rooms are on the smaller side, but quite comfortable. Air conditioning worked great, and our two rooms had ceiling fans as well. Electrical maintenance by Belize Electric interrupted service for an afternoon, but on-site generators picked up the slack. Bikes, kayaks, paddleboards, and a canoe are available for use at no cost and without reservation. Filtered water is available at refill stations around the facility.

We stayed a week here and absolutely loved the lodge. Great location, we loved riding the bikes (or renting a golf cart) to the village and the restaurant was so good! Everyone learned our names immediately and we really felt like we were part of the family by the time we checked out. I would recommend to everyone!

My husband and I watch The CBS Saturday Morning Show religiously on the weekend. That is where we saw Chef Rob on The Dish. We enjoy boutique, quaint, hotels versus large chain hotels. And of course, who doesn't like delicious food?! After watching the segment, we were intrigued, and decided to book our first trip to Belize! We were not disappointed. We booked an ocean view room - we were in room 12. Spacious room with a beautiful view of the beach. The hotel staff were over the top from the minute we walked onto the property. Maritsa and Emmalyn helped us book our excursions and were always around with smiling faces, willing to help with any request. Chef Rob and his wife were present daily to chat and make sure we were having a great visit. Tisha and Kira were also there every day to serve breakfast - a hot breakfast daily with different items served each day. We ate at the restaurant for dinner twice - both times we had excellent service and fantastic food. Another shout out to King and Dijon who were also super friendly and took care of our bar requests. I can't say enough about how friendly every single staff member was to us. We were very impressed. Oh, I can't forget Rico, the African Gray Parrot at the poolside. He brought a smile to our face every day with his whistles and singing. We highly recommend this place - you won't regret it!!!!

First of all the staff is wonderful and friendly. Chef Rob, Mike and Tish made the trip! Activities were well organized and so enjoyable. The food was fantastic. The breakfast provided was different everyday and we didn't know what to expect, but Tish always made a great breakfast. Be sure to try the lobster and do the tasting table with Chef Rob, do not miss out on that experience!

This little resort was a great find in Hopkins, Belize. The place is small but comes with great amenities - clean, attractive and spacious rooms: kayaks, bikes and a waterfall swimming pool; a lovely beach area; an amazing restaurant; and, best of all it has friendly, incredible staff. We loved Marissa, who checked us in and took care of our tours. Chef Rob created delicious dinners to remember. Leticia, who was a fantastic morning chef that did above and beyond in her duties as chef and guest caretaker; and the every day workers that always were helpful and available. I don’t want to leave out Rico, the grey parrot, who whistled a number of tunes to keep you smiling. The Parrot Cove is one of Hopkins best for all the right reasons. They are a gem amongst the big resorts.
