Nice and convenient place to stay to expire around Ueno . Beautiful room, nice and spacious bed, perfect colour combination make it a very comfortable stay even for a night . Cheap over night parking just downstair at 400 Yến from 1800 hr to 0800hrs and side parking available 200 m away. Not far from train station probably a 15 min walk .

The location is really good, be prepared if you have a big suitcase because you have to take a lot of stairs to get to the reception and than the room. It has everything you need, but not very much space in the rooms and in the bathroom. Also, it wasn’t the easiest check in because the guy didn’t talk english (and not even japanese).

The location is stated as being in the city center of Asakusa, but it was quite confusing to find. The addresses provided on Trip.com and the tourist registration link were different, which caused a lot of difficulty navigating to the unit. Unfortunately, the host was not responsive at the time we needed assistance. The unit is located on the 3rd floor, while the 1st and 2nd floors are occupied by other residents. Carrying luggage up to the 3rd floor was quite challenging, especially for a group. Additionally, we received complaints from residents about noise from our footsteps. Given that the house structure seems to be typical Japanese style (not concrete), it was difficult to control or avoid such noise, which made us feel uncomfortable during our stay. In terms of amenities, the unit only provides very basic items. For cooking, there is only one of each utensil (e.g., one knife, one spatula), which is not practical for a group of 8 people and makes cooking very time-consuming. There is also no iron provided, and even if there is washing machine, you need to buy or bring your own detergent and there’s no place to dry since the rooftop os prohibited to access. Need to dry within the unit where have heater. Another inconvenience was the host not allowed for luggage storage options, which is not ideal for families or larger groups. We had to arrange external storage with Yamato as per host recommendation since we unable to early check-in. The host also did not clearly inform us in advance that early check-in was possible with an additional charge. Only when we requested early check-in around 3 PM were we informed about this extra fee. Overall, the stay was manageable but not very convenient, especially for larger groups or families. Will not repeat to stay in this unit.

I stayed at Beautiful Kamiya Resort for two nights. Location location location! At Mitake station there are lockers to store luggage. They fit a carry on for sure but maybe even a large suitcase. 500 yen for up to three days. I was outdoors the majority of the time but was at ease knowing a comfortable warm bed and hot bath awaits me. The kitchen is very basic but good for simple meals. Electric cook top, microwave, hot water pot, refrigerator etc. The bad tub is almost as large as a car. Separate toilet and tub areas. Lots of power outlets throughout. Plenty of hot water and clean towels. There is some traffic noise but not a big deal at least for me. This area is absolutely beautiful. Mountains, trees, river, friendly shop keepers and amazing hiking. It rained everyday except my last day of course. It was not really a rain but more like a Seattle mist. I was able to hike the entire main loop but did not peak Mt Otake as I did not have the correct footwear. There is a bus from 30 yards south of the Mitake train station that departs to the Mt Mitake cable car. The entire day round trip is about 1200 yen but honestly I did not keep track down to the penny. I had the most delicious cold udon dish ever at the Small village about 1/2 mile hike above the cable car station. They used local mountain vegetables. My first time ever to taste wild Miatake mushroom tempura. I was in heaven! Cons: no convenience stores in the area however there is a small store between the public train station restrooms and the train station. Lights from the street and nearby buildings come through some windows but there is a window shuttle that can be closed. It's 5-7 minutes walk to and from the Mitake train station. Having a car would be more convenient. I did not try any taxi service so I'm not sure if there is the option.
