This was the most accommodating resort and hotel team I've ever experienced. We were evacuating from Southwest Florida to escape the path of Hurricane Milton and as we drove and drove it became challenging to find a hotel because we were obviously not the only ones evacuating. From the moment I initially spoke to Samira on the phone that evening, to the moment we checked out, every single person was so understanding, kind and helpful. Samira was so resourceful for us, going above and beyond. And, I also want to really thank Kelsey, one of the managers. She also went above and beyond to be helpful, kind, resourceful and accommodating. I will always remember this experience in a moment of confusion and uncertainty for our family with the Hurricane, and they truly eased a big portion of the concern when we were trying to find a safe place for our family to be. Not to mention, the amenities/pool and easy access to the beautiful ocean really lightened the emotional load with fun things to do with our kids. Oh, and they welcome pets! Which is a whole other benefit when evacuating with a dog.
Room was clean and well-appointed. Housekeeping staff were excellent, in frequency of attention and in quality of their work. Front desk staff were helpful and pleasant even at busiest times. Breakfast provided was fine and daily choices I appreciated. Appreciated healthful options available daily (oatmeal, fresh fruit available at breakfast and apples (wrapped to reduce hand contact) and bottled water at front desk throughout the day and other popular breakfast items (bagels, waffles, omelets, etc that I don't choose to eat) are also provided. I did not utilize other on site amenities (exercise room, etc). I would stay here again.
After coming to Hilton Head my whole life this was the first time we stayed at the Omni. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly. There was plenty of seating around the resort to sit and relax. The only negative was that they didn’t update the bathroom doors in the rooms when they renovated. The doors are old and are extremely worn. They tried to paint them but it didn’t help the look. Other than that I loved everything about the Omni and will be back.
The resort is beautiful. Well maintained property. Rooms are well appointed. Staff is extremely accommodating. Convenient to many attractions. Highly recommend this resort to a family or groups looking for a great place to vacation. The beach is right out the back door. It doesn’t get better!!
I stay at Hampton Inns fairly often for business travel and for quick personal trips; I like them because they're fairly affordable and reliable. This particular hotel was very disappointing. I stayed her for business travel. The hotel itself is small and run down and not laid out at all like a familiar Hampton Inn. The check in process was a little bumpy but we got it squared away. the room, while reasonably clean, was dark, dated, and just .... sad. I felt like I was in some kind of super-budget motel. They only clean/service the rooms every other day, but there were the barest minimum of towels and coffee in the room. (I had to ask for more). Beds were comfortable enough but felt quite worn. i was staying with several colleagues at this hotel. One had a door that wouldn't lock. Another had a gnat infestation. Lobby was just sad. Breakfast was depressing. And thank goodness it's not a terribly busy airport, because planes sounded like they were landing on the roof. Staff - there never seemed to be more than one person on duty, and they were doing everything from working the front desk to taking out the trash. They were fairly pleasant, though, even if overworked. If you need a budget place to stay in Hilton Head, you might want to keep looking.
The Hilton Head Spark hotel is a simple hotel. the staff is very friendly and welcoming. the rooms are clean and well maintained. The breakfast is very simple. they offer a microwave in the lobby to warm something up. there is also a bottle filler with filter in the lobby.
Bbkatkins301Travelers beware: My husband, traveling alone, checked into the Red Roof Inn on Hilton Head Island, SC on April 3rd around 3pm. Everything looked fine in the room, so he left to go to dinner with some friends. When he returned around 8:30pm and turned down the bed, he found dirty sheets. Housekeeping had made the bed with the sheets being left dirty!! He went downstairs to the front desk to inquire about getting clean sheets. The front desk attendant (an older lady) was very nice, apologized, and gave him the clean sheets. But since housekeeping had gone for the day, he had to put them on the bed himself!! The rest of the room seemed, fine with the exception of some gnats (or some other type of small fly) and the hot water coming out of the sink being brown (briefly). When he told me about his experience the next evening, and as he is not one to address issues, I called the front desk. The first person (a young man) answering the phone listened to my complaint and then put me on hold. Another person then picked up the phone and asked if she could help. I gave her the information I had given the first person. She then proceeded to tell me that this is a budget hotel (the rating is 3 ½ to 4 stars, so I don’t consider this budget), that they are short staffed, and that housekeeping goes home at 5:00pm. She did apologize and explain that they had changed the boiler that day or the day before and that may be why the water coming out of the shower was brown. She also told me that he could check out if he wanted to (? the room was prepaid). I told her everything around there was booked and he had nowhere to go. These are adequate explanations/suggestions, but there is no excuse for someone making up a bed with dirty sheets when the room is going to be occupied by a new customer!! I believe the Manager was there at the desk with her, but did not offer any compensation, which is what I feel would have been the right thing to do. This hotel is in a great location, right next to Shelter Cove Marina, but we will never stay there again!! I booked the room through Priceline, whom I also called with my complaint, as I thought they ought to know what type of issues we encountered at this hotel. The customer service person was nice and sympathetic but said there was nothing she could do about the situation.
