The resort is beautiful. Well maintained property. Rooms are well appointed. Staff is extremely accommodating. Convenient to many attractions. Highly recommend this resort to a family or groups looking for a great place to vacation. The beach is right out the back door. It doesn’t get better!!
Room was clean and well-appointed. Housekeeping staff were excellent, in frequency of attention and in quality of their work. Front desk staff were helpful and pleasant even at busiest times. Breakfast provided was fine and daily choices I appreciated. Appreciated healthful options available daily (oatmeal, fresh fruit available at breakfast and apples (wrapped to reduce hand contact) and bottled water at front desk throughout the day and other popular breakfast items (bagels, waffles, omelets, etc that I don't choose to eat) are also provided. I did not utilize other on site amenities (exercise room, etc). I would stay here again.
After coming to Hilton Head my whole life this was the first time we stayed at the Omni. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly. There was plenty of seating around the resort to sit and relax. The only negative was that they didn’t update the bathroom doors in the rooms when they renovated. The doors are old and are extremely worn. They tried to paint them but it didn’t help the look. Other than that I loved everything about the Omni and will be back.
This was the most accommodating resort and hotel team I've ever experienced. We were evacuating from Southwest Florida to escape the path of Hurricane Milton and as we drove and drove it became challenging to find a hotel because we were obviously not the only ones evacuating. From the moment I initially spoke to Samira on the phone that evening, to the moment we checked out, every single person was so understanding, kind and helpful. Samira was so resourceful for us, going above and beyond. And, I also want to really thank Kelsey, one of the managers. She also went above and beyond to be helpful, kind, resourceful and accommodating. I will always remember this experience in a moment of confusion and uncertainty for our family with the Hurricane, and they truly eased a big portion of the concern when we were trying to find a safe place for our family to be. Not to mention, the amenities/pool and easy access to the beautiful ocean really lightened the emotional load with fun things to do with our kids. Oh, and they welcome pets! Which is a whole other benefit when evacuating with a dog.
First, let me say that I stay at Marriott’s frequently, and the service is overall consistently good. This hotel was an exception. Upon check-in, we were asked if we would want housekeeping during our stay, and we said yes. When we first got to our room, we noticed that the bathroom door would not stay shut. It was a sliding door with no latch and it would just slide right back open. The next day, we mentioned it to the front desk and they said they would have it fixed. Housekeeping never came which was also a problem because we were trying to shut the bathroom door by putting towels under it to prevent it from sliding. Without drawing this out and making it a really long review, I will just say that we were there from Sunday through Friday and had housekeeping one time (and that was after asking multiple days in a row) and the bathroom door was never fixed. We never got clean sheets, etc. Basically in five nights they came once with clean towels, emptied the trash, and made the bed. Much of the time there was no one at the front desk and a couple told us good luck in finding anyone. They had been standing there forever trying to check in and there wasn’t anyone there. There were a couple of friendly people at the front desk, but one who had a major attitude, and others that could not be bothered to look up and even say hi to people. Just to check out this morning, I stood forever before an employee walked by and got someone to help me. Normally they ask how your stay is. Not this hotel. I don’t think they want to know. Very disappointing stay. I would definitely find someplace else to stay.
I stay at Hampton Inns fairly often for business travel and for quick personal trips; I like them because they're fairly affordable and reliable. This particular hotel was very disappointing. I stayed her for business travel. The hotel itself is small and run down and not laid out at all like a familiar Hampton Inn. The check in process was a little bumpy but we got it squared away. the room, while reasonably clean, was dark, dated, and just .... sad. I felt like I was in some kind of super-budget motel. They only clean/service the rooms every other day, but there were the barest minimum of towels and coffee in the room. (I had to ask for more). Beds were comfortable enough but felt quite worn. i was staying with several colleagues at this hotel. One had a door that wouldn't lock. Another had a gnat infestation. Lobby was just sad. Breakfast was depressing. And thank goodness it's not a terribly busy airport, because planes sounded like they were landing on the roof. Staff - there never seemed to be more than one person on duty, and they were doing everything from working the front desk to taking out the trash. They were fairly pleasant, though, even if overworked. If you need a budget place to stay in Hilton Head, you might want to keep looking.
The Hilton Head Spark hotel is a simple hotel. the staff is very friendly and welcoming. the rooms are clean and well maintained. The breakfast is very simple. they offer a microwave in the lobby to warm something up. there is also a bottle filler with filter in the lobby.
TThomas MThe only things giving it two stars are the super nice and helpful people working here and a clean pool. Otherwise, the place is a disaster area - massive construction with gaping holes in walls and no security to the building - you can just walk through the walls, so they don’t bother locking the doors. The hotel is nowhere near the lobby and breakfast area. Same Holiday Inn Express breakfast experience you would get in Akron. There is really no reason to stay here. I don’t mind discount travel, but there has to be some effort made by the management.
