Very friendly and welcoming owners, nothing too much trouble. Coded access when restaurant is closed. Great food (both breakfast and evening meal. Well equipped rooms, good views, quiet area. Excellent location for Hever Castle. Stayed for three nights and would definitely recommend.

We recently stayed at this lovely place just wanted to share our experience. We did book this several months ago on the basis it had a bar so we could sit in the evenings to have a drink but we found there is no longer a bar. After speaking to the owners they are in the process of changing it from a pub into a B&B. Do not let this put you off as this an amazing B&B, the owners were exceptional in their service and friendly. The room (room 2) was very clean and well set out. The bathroom was also very clean and spacious, the only issue we had with this was the door was a bit squeaky when opening. We had lovely views over the fields. The bed is very low but unfortunately for me the mattress was too soft, after having back surgery it was a bit of a struggle, however this would not stop me for staying again. The bedding was lovely. We had a separate entrance which was great as we tended to be out most of the evening in the local pub. Breakfast was wonderful, always topping up tea and coffee and extra toast when requested. It really set us up for the day ahead. We also had a meal on our first evening to find the food was exceptional. Thank you to the owners for making us feel so welcome, we hope to return one day when we are back visiting Kent. Please do give this place a try you will not be disappointed.

Staying & dining here is a most enjoyable experience. Service is friendly and attentive. Rooms are a delight with a comfortable bed, excellent bathroom, nice view over the garden & fields beyond, quiet location and nice chairs in the room so you don't have to sit on the bed to watch tv. Everything about The Greyhound is faultless including the lovely dinner & breakfast. Their professionalism shows through at every level. We are so glad we discovered this place & will definitely return.

Walking between Hever Castle and the site that we are camping in, we came across this lovely pub. We were given a very warm and friendly welcome even though we had not made a booking for dinner. We had an extremely delicious main meal of dressed crab and liver and Bacon. Service was friendly and very efficient. The atmosphere and decor in the pub was very calming after a very busy yet wonderful day at Hever Castle. The lady who greeted us and served us the whole evening was very professional and incredibly friendly and fun to chat to.

Wonderfully comfortable and well-equipped room. Restaurant excellent for both breakfast and dinner. Owners delightful. Highly recommended. This was a repeat stay for us and we will stay again if we are in the area.

what a gem, food excellent staff so nice not to mention the beds just didn't want to get out of bed in the morning. Only stayed the one night which was a pity as i cant recomend this place highly enough. had the lamb for dinner superb. Breakfast wow didn't eat for rest of the day. we hope to stay again.

We stayed there one night on our way to France. Room 2 was lovely, with a small terrace, an interesting decor, great artwork and a very powerful shower. The bedding was lovely but the bed was a bit soft for us. We thought this place had a bar but it is rooms and restaurant only. We had a couple of drinks once the restaurant opened at 6pm and then a nice meal. The cheesecake was amazing with all its little extras (especially the pistachio sauce!). Breakfast was nice too. Both owners were super friendly and efficient.

We booked three rooms for one night as part of .. visiting Hever castle of course. The welcome, the lovely comfortable rooms, intimate dining area and the food, could not be faulted. They owners are now into a new and different business model, it is no longer a pub, and restaurant, it offers evening dining to its guests as a priority and has a small 5 seat area if you want to have a drink before your meal, and the table is yours from 6pm till whenever you are deciding enough is enough, hence no rushed dining . This allows a superb atmosphere of “dining at leisure” with time for dialogue with the highly entertaining owner/food and drink provider and with each other. Taking food, varied choice and lovely cooking for our evening meal and breakfast, and it’s cooked “to order” , so some of us could for example have pancakes cooked and served as they wished ! The whole building was refurnished and is now a very exceptional combination of ye old worlde and new chic modern, rooms are warm, very comfortable beds and modern shower room/bathroom and of course TV and hot drinks set. Our first floor room had a most relaxing view over the garden/patio area and the countryside around. Parking is no problem , access also to rooms etc. Quality is excellent as is attention to detail and to customer satisfaction and … it’s not a place that has the “silly prices” for food, drink and facilities that somewhere near the MANY attractions nearby Hever etc. All our party agreed that it was a place we would recommend to friends etc wanting accommodation in that area and would revisit in the future, it was described by one of our party who have done “ a lot of research and visits to similar establishments” as one of the best they had visited, now that is praise indeed, enough said. The owners have worked very hard to create this and are very clear on the work/life balance of providing quality service, and have we all agreed achieved it the 5 stars we award. You won’t be disappointed,
