Maniumpathy Hotel

Great small hotel for stay in Colombo. Friendly helpful staff, cute pool, fab rooms with great pillows & easy to get around by Uber Tuk! Delicious breakfasts with lots of choice & freshly squeezed juices. I would recommend for a few nights in Colombo

This hotel is beautiful and well taken care off. It’s an old colonial home that has been tastefully converted into a boutique hotel. Even thought it is on a busy road you don’t hear vehicle noise. My favourite is the immaculate service and excellent food. I stayed there twice and the second time all the staff recognized me and made me feel at home.

Visited as part of our Honeymoon in Colombo. Was the perfect spot for our stay. Amazing building and rooms, great breakfast and very central whilst still quiet and cozy. Staff went out of their way to also make our Honeymoon special with a decorative display on our return after dinner.

We spent a super couple of nights here at the start of our visit to Sri Lanka. Maniumpathy is a fabulous place to get your bearings with a gentle introduction to this amazing city and country. The food is excellent and superb service. The bedrooms are super comfortable and all located around a beautiful garden. The pool is small and we didn’t try if but it was an idyllic place to relax after the buzz of the city.

Thank you for all the efforts taken by Koshika and the entire team and chef for the lovely evening spent at Maniumpathi with friends. The food was delicious , and the service was exceptional. The ambiance and decor were very pleasing. We will come again soon.

A lovely haven in the heart of Colombo. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and restaurant did really good food. Very relaxing vibe. Room was lovely as was bathroom. Bathroom was outside but so cleverly designed and luxurious it worked really well. Would recommend

We spent just a day in this lovely heritage property - a bungalow that has been lived in for 4 generations. This is a boutique property, just the kind we like. The service is warm and our suite large and comfortable. The property is located in the heart of Colombo, but in a quiet area, close to the major attractions. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast. I would love to visit again.

We had a 2 night stay at this beautiful place and it was the most satisfying experience we've ever had. The rooms were a wonder,consisting with an exotic view. However we were informed about an event that was supposed to take place at the evening, it was very thoughtful and organizing of them to inform us about it prior to our dinner. And the staff offered us to have our dinner in the balcony arranging a fantastic dinner night with the best view we could ever imagined in the city of Colombo. It was a well enjoyed and very well relaxed stay receiving an extraordinary hospitality from the staff.

We had booked this place for two days. We liked the idea that it is a boutique hotel. However, as soon as we entered we found that although it is very beautiful place but it is very small. It would have been better if they had advertised themselves as an upscale Airbnb. If you rent the whole house for yourself with lesser staff in it, then there is possibility that one can enjoy this place more. There is a drawing room, which you can’t use because it is small and everybody uses the same for movements. There is a small veranda which is converted to restaurant and a small pool is also in the same courtyard. That means you can’t use this pool as there is no privacy at all. Our room was on the first floor. It was very beautiful and tastefully decorated. Bathroom area was also elaborated. However, functionality wise both were not okay. To add to our discomfort, there was a party in the evening, therefore, we couldn’t go to the dining area for dinner. They offered to arrange our dinner in the balcony area outside of our room but we declined. There was noise till late night due to the ongoing party. The manager apologised for the inconvenience however, we decided to check out next morning. Additionally, there is no assistance during 10 to 7 at night. Which is weird as it is very expensive place and yet they were not giving full services expected at this cost. We had breakfast in the morning which was good and checked out to Taj Samudra. We had a great sigh of relief when we reached at Taj Samudra.
