"The hotel is in a very good location for exploring Cairns, a short walk to the harbour and even shorter walk for all kinds of restaurants, the hotel has its own restaurant where they serve a BBQ type meal with the meats being carved at your table.
The receptionists are very friendly and helpful, Francesca was really lovely, there’s three lifts to all floors, our room 718, was very clean and tidy, lovely cool cotton sheets on a massive bed, a large TV and coffee and tea making facilities, the shower and toilet was ok maybe a bit dated but it served a purpose, the room was cleaned with fresh towels every day, we had breakfast in the hotel which was $25 each, its buffet style so have as much as you need, the restaurants around the hotel are very eclectic, but YaYas’ Greek restaurant is fantastic, the food the staff the atmosphere are all great, highly recommend you try it.
All in all the hotel is at the heart of Cairns and all it has to offer."
"The Heritage cairns was very hard to find, as all signs have been removed or painted out. It is in quite a good location, being 2 blocks back form the Esplanade in Cairns Central. It is not a new property but was clean and tidy. It would be suitable for short stop overs but not really for long stays, however its modest cost reflects that it is not a new flashy hotel. There is a good continental breakfast available for $18, which I think is good value. The rooms also include a kettle with tea and coffee, milk and biscuits supplied. The one omission was a hair drier that most women would want. I found the staff very helpful and answered any questions I had."
"Nice room with own bathroom and shower. The pillow was like a brick, but otherwise great bunks! Huge and beautiful pool area. The club was also super nice. Nice and clean kitchen areas, multiple of them in the hostel (one in every level) so they weren’t too busy. Customer service was also amazing. Totally recommend!"
