Ljubljana Capsule Hostel

Nice, quiet place in an interesting neighborhood. Use the citywide Wi-Fi to find it if you don’t have a data plan. No reception desk, but the cleaning lady made sure I had plenty of towels. Mercator supermarket nearby. Check out the cafe at the Ethnographic Museum.

I honestly didn’t mind it but my girlfriend hated it so much. Shared toilets were pretty foul after a while. All the beds have code pads which beep loudly during the night like alarm clocks constantly going off. Beep beep beep. It’s still in my head all the beeping. If someone under you gets up / arrives / leaves, you will wake up with the codes beep beep beep beep and the slamming m of the sliding doors. Anyway yeah I enjoyed it it was pretty novel as an idea but it was very very expensive for what was ultimately a morgue. There was also no communal area, no receptionist and nowhere to store our bags if you arrive early etc. no kitchen so unfortunately all our food went off. Also girlfriend wants to point out that there were no blankets and that it is horrifically expensive for what it is and not in city centre. Dirty she says too bathroom with curly black hairs everywhere. If you stay here, really get your code right as it will disturb everyone in the night when you get it wrong because it goes BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP (the code) and then BEEP BEEP if you get it strong. And then you have to repeat the code so even more beeping. The cleaning lady was LOVELY.

Great location, and very practical for a few days in Ljubljana. Even though there was no staff on-site, they were very responsive to calls/ messages. Thank you!

The hotel was great! I LOVED my little capsule that could fit 2 people comfortably. There is a tv and headphones to listen to the TV as to not disturb the people in the other capsules. The entire place was super silent so good for light sleepers. Everyone that was there was super respectful of others. I felt so comfortable that I extended my stay for a second night. **BUT** I need to highlight the level of customer service provided. Check in was easy, one you fill out the online form emailed to you they will give you a code that will let you inside of the hotel. This code will also open your capsule and storage locker for your suitcase. Where they go above and beyond is as follows: I left all my money in the safe, and when I say all, I mean ALL. I even had extra cash for any possible emergencies. I only noticed when I was about to cross the Croatian border at Dobova. I messaged them and they actually had been trying to call me, it didn’t go through because I shut my American number off as to not incur any international fees. I got on the next train back to Ljubljana and the property manager met me there personally to give me my things. To my absolute delight, my things were completely undisturbed. They asked me what my plan was, and I told them I was going to try and get back on the train to Zagreb. They then offered me to stay another night in one of their biggest and best rooms at an incredible discount to what I paid for my regular room! They they were super accommodating

Il posto è molto bello, anche il concept molto interessante. È molto vicino alla stazione, cinque minuti a piedi, e al centro, una decina. Unico problema è che, almeno quando ci son stato io, c’era aria condizionata a palla e nelle capsule c’erano solamente dei lenzuolini che sicuramente non proteggevano da tutto quel freddo.

Volevamo provare un’esperienza nuova. Le capsule sono confortevoli e pulite, l’ambiente informale e di condivisione è divertente. Purtroppo alle 2 sono rientrati dei ragazzi francesi che hanno fatto un sacco di rumore. Beep beep delle tastiere, urla, risate e colpi sulle capsule. Isolatele meglio!
