Budgewoi Holiday Park

We took our new caravan to Budgewoi. Great park, green and leafy. Walk to the lake & the surf & bike ride on a path to Toukley. Dog friendly Park too. We were site 77, it felt like there was room at that end of the park, rather than those in the 200-300. Close to the newly renovated Budgewoi Pub. Will go back for sure.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights with a camper/powered site. We booked online. We asked for a refund but no luck. No platforms for your van, flooded site/muddy. We were in the “Trash” area. Disgusting shanties, rusty dirty caravans apparently hired out for stays. Obviously the council gets money from these owners who don’t fix up their accomodation. Internet not working. Not secure as no fence around park near a community park. The cabin areas are modern, camp kitchen, pool, jumping pillows. Amenities old. Would never stay here again. I will be writing a letter to the Mayor of this area. It is council run.

This caravan park was an absolute disgrace in terms of cleanliness. The showers/toilet blocks were putrid! Toilets covered in wee and poo, doors that won’t lock, floors covered in hair and other disgusting items. My 12 year old daughter was showering and both handles on the shower taps fell off! Totally unacceptable and so unsafe. Hand soap was always empty, the drains were all blocked so when you showered you stood in ankle deep water covered in other peoples hair! The roads around the park are full of huge pot holes and extremely unsafe for little kids to ride bikes or elderly people walking around the park. The playground and jumping pillow were inundated with large adult children. This meant our smaller children were not able to access these areas as it was too unsafe for them. The pool area was lovely however I didn’t see it cleaned or maintained during our entire stay. This park is in need of a HUGE maintenance overhaul. Very disappointed.

Beautiful empty beaches

We stayed for a weekend break with friends, across two Lorikeet Deluxe cabins. We found them to have enough space for 4 and 5 guests. Bathrooms were basic, but did the job. There wasn't much between the one with the spa tub and the standard, bath with the jets was still a small bath. The cabins were right on the waterfront, beautiful lake views. Kitchens were well equipped, however the stove top was not particularly powerful for boiling a large bowl of pasta. Parking beside the cabin was great. The kids loved the jumping pillow and the park area was good. A shame it was winter and too cold to try the lovely pool out. Great find, we hope to return! :)

We stayed ibis cabin. Very spacious with lake view. My child loved the jumping pillow and played hours there. Their swimming pool is beautiful. Both walking to the tiny island near the place and to Budgewoi beach were so nice.

Easy to locate the park. Quick checkin and check out. Friendly staff. Clean cabin. Central location.
