The Woolpack Inn

Quite a disappointing stay sadly. Nice character Inn but was told on arrival that they are not serving any food. I got 2 x emails advising there is karaoke on a Thursday night but they couldn’t advise that the restaurant was closed. The bedroom was lovely and I was aware of the breakfast hamper which was also good. However, the bathroom was the coldest room I have ever been in. There are 2 x radiators but none were working and I could literally see my breath. If my wife had been staying we would have left and asked for our money back it was that cold. The shower gel was jelly like and ice cold and I resorted to brushing my teeth standing in the bedroom. I expected it at night as quite a lot of places automatically reduce some heating areas overnight (hence why I didn’t move or leave) but it didn’t change in the morning. Please check before booking because it otherwise would have been quite nice (in spite of having to go back out to eat elsewhere).

Lovely stay - we booked for NYE as we were at a nearby venue for the evening. The rooms were amazing. We had a hamper for breakfast which had fresh milk/orange juice etc etc. Only downside if I were being picky, you are right over the Bar, so could hear conversations and certainly the clear up on new years morning...That said, lovely village and a great overnight stay

The only disappointing aspect was there was no food option in the evening. Other than that really good.

This Inn has the best rooms we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in a lot!! This is our 2nd stay. Everything is of the best quality, the beds are super comfortable, with luxury linen. The bathrooms are immaculately clean, and the water is always pipping hot. They do not provide a cooked breakfast, but a hamper is in the room with a choice of goodies so you can have breakfast in bed. There is real milk orange jucie, fruit and water in the fridge. There is also a tassimo coffee machine, as well as the usual kettle. They do serve evening dinners, of pub grub, which was lovely pipping hot and a reasonble cost. They do warn that there may be music on some nights, but that has not bothered us. The staff and the locals are friendly and welcoming. Don't hesitate stay here!!!

The room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfy. We very much appreciated the unexpected breakfast hamper that was provided. The pub food was disappointing, we would stay overnight again but would eat somewhere else.

Loved this place! So idyllic. We spent the evening sitting by the fire, drinking, chatting to locals and cuddling puppies. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Room was big, super comfortable bed and the bathroom very nice too. The breakfast hamper was a lovely gesture. Being right next to the village church meant hearing the church bells Sunday morning and I am pretty sure those are the loveliest church bells I ever did hear. PERFECT STAY!

Lovely room. So lovely touches. Breakfast items in the room for the morning were a real treat. Will happily stay again. Thank you.

Room and bathroom, though small, are beautifully appointed and comfortable. The breakfast left in the room was excellent. The pub downstairs was very chaotic especially trying to get dinner. The outside security light makes the room too light during the night.

We stayed in the Dedham room and it was so wonderful! The bathroom and bedroom were huge and decorated beautifully. Thanks for a perfect stay.
