The hotel's architectural design, a masterpiece by Geoffrey Bawa, is both innovative and environmentally conscious, blending modern luxury with the beauty of the natural environment. Our room featured panoramic views of the Kandalama Reservoir, allowing us to wake up to the serene sights and sounds of nature. The property boasts three distinct swimming pools, including an infinity pool that appears to merge with the lake, offering breathtaking vistas. Dining at Heritance Kandalama is a culinary delight. The Kanchana Restaurant offers an extensive buffet with a variety of Sri Lankan and international dishes, all while providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Throughout our stay, the staff consistently demonstrated attentiveness and professionalism, ensuring that every aspect of our visit was comfortable and memorable. Heritance Kandalama is more than just a hotel; it's an experience that celebrates the harmony between luxury and nature.

We stayed in a room with its own pool and loved just enjoying the hotel itself. Breakfast came with an amazing view, and the Sri Lankan-style dishes were delicious. The staff were so attentive, always smiling, and made us feel truly welcome. We’d definitely like to come back.
Just note that it’s a bit away from Sigiriya Rock and the town center, so you’ll need a taxi or tuk-tuk to get around.

ちちこるんシギリヤロックの観光のために2泊しましたが、広い森の中に佇む素敵なリゾートホテルでした。
お部屋はコテージ風の二階建てで、私達の部屋は1階でした。上の階の人たちの足音が朝の4時過ぎからドタバタ聞こえてきたのがうるさかったのと、排水口の匂いが気になりましたが、ご飯は美味しかった（朝食はあまり変わりばえしませんでしたが）のと、爽やかな風が通るプールの前のレストランで気持ち良く食べられたのが良かったです。近くにレストランもなかったので夕食もつけましたが、一泊目はアラカルトメニューから選び、二泊目はビュッフェでカレーとデザートが豊富でした。二日目、ネットワーク障害で１日Wi-Fiが使えず困りましたが、翌朝には直りました。
スタッフの方も皆さん親切で笑顔で感じよかったです。ホテルが人里離れた所のため、シギリヤロックまでの往復と、ピドゥランガラまでの往復のトゥクトゥクをホテルに頼んでアレンジしてもらいましたが、2回とも4800ルビーと言われました。2日とも同じドライバーさんが来て、良い青年でしたが、この価格はその辺りで捕まえるトゥクトゥクに比べるとだいぶ高いと地元のガイドさんが驚いていましたので、利用される方はお気をつけください。

That said, there are visible signs of wear and tear in certain areas, and some aspects of property maintenance could be improved.
However, what truly made up for this was the hotel team — their service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was excellent and clearly prepared with care, which added greatly to the overall experience. With better upkeep, this place has the potential to be exceptional.

TtorinessThis is a nice hotel in a great location in terms of seeing the key sights in the area we wanted to visit (walking distance to Sigiriya and Pidurangala rocks, and a short tuk tuk ride to a night loris walk). It is on a main road so there is a bit of noise from that if you have a room at the front of the hotel like we did - especially some loud music playing early in the morning. I recommend asking for a room as far away from the road as available. The room was more basic than I expected for the price but importantly it was big and clean. I think you are paying the price for a proper hotel in this location. The hotel pool is big and very clean, it is perfect for a dip to cool down - and very scenic, surrounded by lovely trees. We were a bit disappointed with the hotel restaurant menu which has nearly no vegetarian options on it, and similarly the breakfast buffet wasn’t worth it for us to purchase, but there are lots of other restaurants walking distance from the hotel to go to. The staff were helpful especially in putting us in touch with the loris night tour.

We have room with 2 king beds and it is good enough width for 2 adults and 2 kids. and also keeping sanitary.
Staff gave the good hospitality and providing good services in restaurant.
Just one concerning is VISA card cannot work well in Dambulla area.
