SSarah Foo X.M.Lovely hotel located at the other end of the Esplanade. The broad walk at the back of the hotel was nice to stroll along and an easy way to get to the city center. Kudos to the reception staff, Riccardo for leaving a really good first impression when I first arrived. He was so clear in explaining everything I needed to know before I checked in, and subsequent days when I saw him he was also really helpful with whatever requests I had. The room was big and spacious, very comfy beds!! The housekeeping staff were also friendly whenever I saw them as I head out for the day. Food from the room service was tasty. However, the breakfast buffet options were almost the same everyday though, wish there could have been more variety. But overall, I still had a rather pleasant stay here(:

HHennyP.My first room in building C was awful with the view of the opposite hotel. I could literally watch what other people did in their room and they could watch me as well. Also the room condition was so bad with crawling insects so I needed to upgrade the room. The upgraded room was fine with a poolside view and less bugs crawling on the wooden table. I understand there could be little creatures but just too many in the first room. Other than that, their food was delicious and staffs were kind and friendly. My kid loved playing in the pool.

ผผู้เข้าพักThe service was helpful and efficient particularly Paul. The bedroom 100 was an inner one with no window as such. But there was a window to a wall with 2 plants hanging down. It was a perfect place to sleep a bit like a cave in a way perfect just to sleep. As far as I could see there was only one elevator coming and going also to the roof bar. So there was a wait here. Stairs would have been preferred. The restaurant was fine too on the top floor with excellent views. Location excellent with close proximity to the lagoon for swimming and of course the esplanade.

ままろにーめんお部屋はとても綺麗でした。ただ、壁が若干薄いのか隣の部屋の物音がかなり聞こえてきます。夜中の3時頃に隣の部屋のシャワーの音で目覚めました。 ケアンズ中心部には歩いて40分程かかりました。暑い日差しの中歩くのは大変でしたが、いい運動になりました。 プロントの方は皆さん丁寧な接客で良かったです。チェックイン前でも快く荷物を預かってくれたり、タクシーの手配もバッチリでした。

ผผู้เข้าพักI had a great stay at Gilligan’s! The room was spacious and clean, and I was even lucky enough to have the whole dorm to myself one night. I still managed to meet plenty of people, despite being a solo traveller, thanks to the social atmosphere and nightlife. It’s worth noting that the bar/club area didn’t really get busy until late in the evening (11:30pm onwards), and the hostel is pretty deserted during the day thanks to everyone being out on tours/experiences. My room was overlooking the pool/bar area, so did get noisy at night, but the hostel offers free earplugs at reception which did the trick. It was great to have an en-suite in the room, and the bathroom was in good condition. The location is ideal, right within the hub of Cairns City, however I didn’t feel particularly safe as a solo female traveller in the area at night, so it’s definitely important to be aware of that/travel in a group where possible. The on-site travel agency is helpful and approachable, and staying at the hostel means that you can get discounted drinks at the bar and free club entry before 11pm. I didn’t end up going to any of the weekday themed nights, but at the weekend the vibes downstairs were good. I would definitely recommend Gilligan’s to any young solo/group travellers who want to meet new people and experience Cairns’ party scene at a budget-friendly price!

Location is great, you have the esplanade close by as well as all the touristic thing.  We had a great sleep thanks to their very comfy bed and quiet street, bathroom need some upgrading but you still have all the necessities bathtub and all. The pool was close for renovation but the lagoon at the esplanade is well worth the walk. Would definitely go back :)

李李โรงแรมที่น่าผิดหวังแห่งเดียวในออสเตรเลียและนิวซีแลนด์ ขอพูดถึงข้อดีก่อนนะครับ อยู่ใกล้หาด เดินไม่กี่นาทีก็เดินได้ ไม่มีหาด และน้ำทะเลมีเมฆมาก เดินไปใจกลางเมืองประมาณครึ่งชั่วโมงและมีรถประจำทาง นอกจากข้อเสีย: โรงแรมเก่า สัญญาณ Wi-Fi มักไม่มี ห้องหนาตา โต๊ะทำครัวอยู่ติดกับเตียง และต้องระมัดระวังในการซักให้มาก นอกจากนี้ยังมีการเตือนอย่างเข้มงวดถึง 1,000 ค่าปรับสำหรับการกระตุ้นสัญญาณเตือนควัน สระว่ายน้ำชั้นล่างไม่ได้ใช้เลย มีใบไม้และวัตถุแปลกปลอมลอยอยู่ในนั้น สิ่งที่น่าผิดหวังที่สุดคือมดบนกำแพงทั้งหมดอยู่ในถ้วยชาหลังจากกลับมาพักหนึ่ง ตอนกลางคืนฉันคลานเข้าไปในคอของฉัน! จะไม่ไปอีก
