Masterfully managed by the highly experienced Swiss GM Marco Saxer who has an international career experience, this Provencal-coloured hotel is quiet and noise-free even outside, and offers rooms that are pleasant to live in, with enough space to make you feel at home. The bedding is comfortable and impeccable. Coffee machine and soft drinks (beer, sodas, etc.) in the fridge are provided free of charge the first time. The bathrooms are a little dated but perfectly maintained, only their ceilings need to be renovated/refreshed. The restaurant offers an interesting and varied menu, and its outdoor area is very pleasant. The dishes are beautifully presented and the freshness of the produce is much appreciated. One small downside: the terrace under the three-hundred-year-old lime tree, the hotel's mascot, is no longer accessible. This needs to be corrected, as the shady location is ideal for lunch and evenings in summer. Situated 30 minutes in car from Zurich Airport and on the outskirts of Baden's historic old town on the banks of the River Limmat, within walking distance of the hotel, this establishment is well worth a visit.

If you are on your own, it would work for one night, but pay a bit more and stay at a better place. The room is small with no amenities. There is a toilet, but the sink is outside in the open, as is the shower. Shower with see through door opens into the bedroom. There is no privacy in this set up. There are no shelves, closets, or good chairs, and little space. Trying too hard to cut out frills and just comes across as irritating. It is closer to a hostel than a hotel. Staff, on the other hand, were very nice, and they allowed me to store my bags for pick up later.

Das Hotel hat schöne große Zimmer, schönes Bad, TV und kleiner Kaffeemaschine. Angegliedert am Hotel ist ein gutes Restaurant „El Torro“. Perfekt ist auch die Tiefgarage mit eigenen Stellflächen. Bin schon über Jahre Stammgast. Es liegt schön zentral in der Deutsch-Schweiz in der Nähe der A1 bei Lenzburg.

I stayed in a pod after arriving back on a late flight, instead of driving home at midnight. The pod was nice, very comfortable. The temperature was marginally too warm for me however, and you can't change the settings. That's where the positive experience ended. My phone charging port didn't work - that's fine - I can overlook that, but it's not ideal I was woken at 4.30am by people getting up and ready for the early morning flights. They were crashing and banging around with the doors and fiddling around with their luggage. Ultimately I couldn't get back to sleep because of the continued crashing and banging and ultimately only got 3.45 hrs sleep (I know this because my fitness tracker tells me so). So it was completely pointless staying - I would have got a better night's sleep at home with my 3 year old and 10 month old in the room next door. I believe the hotel's model doesn't work for the following reasons: 1) Each pod has a door with a very noisy latch. The latch doesn't have to be noisy if people are considerate, but a lot of people aren't considerate at the best of times, let alone at 4am in the morning when getting up for an early flight. It's all well and good to have lots of signs saying ”shh!” On the walls, but most people don't see it, or at least it doesn't sink in. I stayed in a capsule hotel on Japan that has roller blinds instead of doors, which are much quieter 2) people are allowed to bring their luggage into the sleeping space. This invites people to fiddle around with their luggage, which disturbs others from their sleep. Again, in the pod hotel in Japan, people must lock their luggage in lockers in the changing rooms, and are not allowed to take anything into the sleeping space - it works much better 3) the hotel has plenty of separate rooms, with a number of pods in each. Why not allocate guests to rooms by their time of arrival and departure, so that late arrivers don't disturb early departures, and vice versa? Overall, if the above 3 things are fixed, I'd probably stay again, but otherwise, definitely not
