3HB Guarana - All Inclusive

This was the first holiday me and my partner had been on since his two strokes, and it did not disappoint! From the minute we walked through the door we were blown away by this little piece of paradise. Everything was clean, rooms were comfy, staff were helpful, facilities were great. Entertainment was good and The Crazy Show was hilarious! We also loved how accessible the hotel was as it’s hard to find somewhere so good for this. There were ramps all around the hotel and lifts to the rooms and various floors. The best part was the ramp into the pool, meaning my partner was able to go in the water, which was wonderful! Couldn't have asked for a better holiday and can’t put into words how much we enjoyed staying at this hotel! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We enjoyed an incredible week here in October half term. The staff on reception were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. We were fortunate to have a room in the family block which was only 2 storeys high so no issue with waiting for lifts etc as could use stairs. Facilities were amazing. Pool bar, snack bar, sports bar, main bar and the restaurants. My son was in his element in the sports bar watching every football or rugby game showing in the evenings. As others have said the pool outside isn’t heated, so quite chilly. We did have a dip but didn’t stay in too long. Sun beds in the swimming pool were nice. Just a shame bit cold to sunbathe there. The indoor pool is nice (and heated!) but got very busy as people wanted to be warm and it’s only small. Sun beds were plentiful. Could always find one, no reserving at all. Which was great.Several self service drink stations for on tap wine, beer and soft drinks. The Portuguese cider was lovely. As were the cocktails and mocktails. Staff in bars were so friendly, attentive and pleasant. Thank you for introducing my husband to White Port - he loved it! Entertainment staff tried hard to put on things for the adults and parents but not pushy if you don’t want to join in. Enjoyed the water aerobics/ dancing. Good fun. The rooms were light, comfortable and airy. Small fridge in room - although ours didn’t work. No kettle in room but we had read this on reviews and took our own travel mugs and kettle so wasn’t a problem. Beds and sofa bed were comfortable and family room worked well for us and our 11 & 14 year old sons. Apartments clean and new towels provided daily. Free water also provided. Left in room and additional can be requested at reception. The food - main restaurant has a huge range of food available. Always a fresh pizza bar, pasta bar to keep the kids happy. But lots of lovely meats, fish, rice dishes, roast potatoes and vegetables. Lovely choice of desserts too, definitely best all inclusive food we have had. Piping hot plates means food warm too! We preferred opting to eat outside as found indoors too noisy and enjoyed hearing the outside musicians playing whilst eating. The snack bar throughout day provided wraps, sandwiches, toasties, burgers, fruit and cake if you feel peckish in between meals at all. We also ate in the Oriental restaurant- wow sushi heaven! Sushi is our kid’s favourite and their eyes lit up at the beautiful display. The oriental food was lovely, meats, fish dishes, spring rolls etc. Being a smaller restaurant was much quieter and more peaceful- do advise booking early as slots do fill up quickly. The Mediterranean restaurant was our favourite- grilled meats, fish, lovely sauces. Delicious! Whilst away it was my husbands birthday. The receptionist arranged for a chilled bottle of Prosecco to be in our room when we got back from day out. There was also a lovely hand written card. Really pleasantly surprised by this hotel, check in was good, room was good, shame about the pillows! Most of the staff were great, some of the restaurant staff could have tried harder. The food was possibly the best all inclusive we have had. Oriental restaurant was poor in our eyes. The hotel was always very clean. Entertainment was a mixed bag. The shows put on by the entertainment teams were poor, the Abba tribute night was appalling. The fence on the walkway to the child's play area was falling down and dangerous. The biggest problem was the outside pools, far too cold even for our kids, for a family hotel, it should be heated to a certain level. Inside pool was ok but stuck in a dingy basement. Overall, great stay but we wouldn't return due to the pools, such a bit part of a holiday like this and when they cant be used, its a real shame.

Great location with lovely food in the main restaurant. Can’t comment on the bookable ones, as we never visited, due to been fully booked, but the variety in the main restaurant was different every day, it was a hard choose. The outdoor pool was freezing, but having read about this, we took the kids wetsuits, so they were able to cope. The beach, if you turn right out of the hotel and up, past another hotel and walk down the steps, was massive, with plenty of sands, so you weren’t on top of anyone. The beach cafe, did great coffees and the food did look good

What a truly wonderful family holiday. The resort in fantastic, super clean always. So much selection on food and the oriental was delicious. Staff and entertainment team were brilliant. Our 5 year old loved the splash park and pirate park. Could not fault this place in any way. Will be returnig. Also thought the price was more than reasonable given it was half term. All of the guests were lovely too. Fab holiday all round. Thank you.

Best holiday I've ever been on and I was sad to leave, the hotel was very busy with it being half term but that didn't effect the quality of service, the food was delicious and sooo varied, we were amazed with how much choice there was. The kids loved the ice-cream and chocolate fountain, a variety of drinks were available all day long larger, wines, sangria and the usual fizzy drinks for children and fresh juices. There were slushies available too and the kids loved them. What struck me the most was how clean it is, cleaners work around the clock to keep it clean, the dining restaurant staff were very helpful and efficient and always friendly with the children. Empty glasses were cleared regularly. The only thing I would say is that although the hotel doesn't permit sunbed reservations via a towel drop first thing, they didn't enforce it which means some guests annoyingly put their towels out and then disappear for the morning. However there are plenty of sunbeds to choose from around the large children's pool on the second level. The splash park was great fun and the playground was too! The nighttime entertainment was great and the guys gave so much energy to keeping the little ones happy. There was even a candyfloss cart one evening. All in all we had an amazing time and the hotel was fantastic!! Very happy indeed.

Just back from 5 days at the hotel, and what a great time we had. Food was excellent, best AI I have eaten at. Ala carte Oriental wasnt for me but wow the Mediterranean was something else. A must visit, in my opinion. Pools are cold, but I have encountered worse, once you are in its fine. Entertainment was good with a couple of bands brought in. The animation team never stopped, nor did the waiters, waitresses, cleaners, reception staff, would go back in a heartbeat. Hotel manager rang me on my birthday, a card was left and a bottle of champagne at dinner - really nice touch. Only downside was getting through passport control at Faro airport, the rest was fab.

Wow! We just got back from our first trip to Portugal and our first all inclusive holiday. Our son has a very restricted diet and team Guarana did an amazing job with the catering, even making him his own special mockails. Nothing was ever too much trouble. All of the restaurants served a good variety of food and there are snacks and drinks available all day when the main restaurants are closed. You can also arrange an early breakfast if your transfer home is before the restaurant opens. There’s plenty to do from 10.30am to 10.30pm as well so no chance of getting bored whatever age you are. The whole resort was clean, friendly and very efficient in every way. It really would be hard to beat as a perfect family holiday. I’ve never been so sad to come home and we’ll definitely be back. If you go, make sure you go to Falesia / Pine Cliffs Beach which is a 5 - 10 minute walk away. You wouldn’t know it was there if you didn’t explore but it’s a real gem and you could easily spend the day there if you wanted a change of scene.
