Nunca he tenido una tan mal experiencia. No tengo palabras por el comportamiento absolutamente incorrecto de la mujer de la recepción, Hasnae. Nos cargaron a posteriori las 3 noches de alojamiento a pesar de que no estuvimos ninguna, ya que tuvimos que marcharnos del sitio la primera noche por todas las complicaciones que hubo a partir del primer momento. Llegamos sobre las 16.30h, después de haberles avisado que estábamos en tren y que llegaríamos en breve. Desde el minuto 1 la impresión que tuvimos fue de un sitio que no estaba acondicionado para recibir huéspedes, el alojamiento estaba en obras. Nos dijo que teníamos que esperar un poco antes de subir a la habitación. Esperamos más de una hora y media abajo para poder tener acceso a la habitación, después de 6 horas de vieje. Los baños de la planta baja estaban muy sucios (con calzoncillos por ahí) y, aparte de materiales de obras (sacos de cemento y demás), había mucho polvo por las escaleras. La habitación era más pequeña y agobiante de lo que parecía en foto y tampoco el baño se correspondía al que aparecía en las imágenes. Esto es lo de menos. No había ni gel de ducha ni champú, tal como tenia que estar incluido, y tampoco se nos facilitaron cuando se lo preguntamos. Bueno, puede pasar. Volvimos en la noche después de cenar y nos encontramos con cucarachas en la habitación y en las camas. En la recepción no había nadie y, sin tener otra opción, tuvimos que buscar otro sitio donde pasar la noche y al que nos desplazamos a la 1.00 de la madrugada. Al día siguiente el Riad había sido contactado por Booking, ya que nos habíamos puesto en contacto con la atención al cliente para avisarles de la situación y de que no podíamos quedarnos allí por no cumplir ni con lo mínimo. Pasamos por el Riad para explicarles todo lo que pasó personalmente y decirles que nos íbamos a quedar ya en otro sitio. Ni un ”lo siento” ni nada de eso. La mujer nos escuchó y, cuando nos dijo que teníamos que anular la reserva, le dije que tenían que anularla ellos y que desde booking necesitaban recibir un correo de confirmación de lo acontecido por su parte y de que no habíamos pasado ni una noche allí. Fuimos a hablar con ella dos veces y con la excusa de que ella no manejaba las reservas y que el dueño se encontraba en otra ciudad, nos dijo que me contactaría en una hora. Nunca volvió a contactar conmigo ni contestó a mi mensaje de whatsapp. Tampoco nos dio alguna ocpión para encontrarnos a medio camino. Nada. Nos cobró igualmente las 3 noches completas, sabiendo que estuvimos en otro sitio y que tuvimos que pagar allí también. Ha sido una muy mala gestión por una persona deshonesta y mentirosa que sólo está interesada en el dinero y que no sabe ni siquiera qué quiere decir dedic**** a esta profesión. Nos sentimos decepcionadas. Lo dejo a su conciencia. Que esta sed de dinero en detrimento de otras personas respetuosas y honestas le traiga a esa gente lo que se merezca en la vida y en su trabajo.

The main issue with this hotel is the location - it is a bit far from old fes and the markets. Also, while it is next to a mall - as noted by others - who cares, the food places there are mediocre fast-food places. Our rooms (we had two) were clean and quiet - if also dated. Service in the hotel was attentive and friendly. We didn't have dinner or lunch here (there is a restauarant on site as well as a small cafe next to the swimming pool), but the breakfast buffet was vast and largely very tasty. The pool was very large and a great place to relax at the end of the day. Prices were very resaonable (mid-range). Except for the location, I would recommend this hotel for those who want a quiet, comfortable, hotel at a good cost.

Également de très bon conseil quant à la visite de Fès et de sa Médina avant notre arrivée et pendant notre séjour et l'organisation de celle-ci. Chambres très confortables et salle-de-bain top. Très peut de bruit émanant de la Médina. On y dort bien. Repas du soir et petit-déjeuner avec vue sur la Médina du haut de la terrasse. Super couscous. Top encore une fois. En principe pas de consommation d'alcool dans la Médina mais il y a toujours le magasin Carrefour dans la nouvelle ville. Nous remercions Marjorie et Pascal pour leur convivialité, leur amabilité et leur engouement à nous recevoir. Et a nous dépanner à retrouver nos motos pour la suite de notre périple au Maroc. Nunca he tenido una tan mal experiencia. No tengo palabras por el comportamiento absolutamente incorrecto de la mujer de la recepción, Hasnae. Nos cargaron a posteriori las 3 noches de alojamiento a pesar de que no estuvimos ninguna, ya que tuvimos que marcharnos del sitio la primera noche por todas las complicaciones que hubo a partir del primer momento. Llegamos sobre las 16.30h, después de haberles avisado que estábamos en tren y que llegaríamos en breve. Desde el minuto 1 la impresión que tuvimos fue de un sitio que no estaba acondicionado para recibir huéspedes, el alojamiento estaba en obras. Nos dijo que teníamos que esperar un poco antes de subir a la habitación. Esperamos más de una hora y media abajo para poder tener acceso a la habitación, después de 6 horas de vieje. Los baños de la planta baja estaban muy sucios (con calzoncillos por ahí) y, aparte de materiales de obras (sacos de cemento y demás), había mucho polvo por las escaleras. La habitación era más pequeña y agobiante de lo que parecía en foto y tampoco el baño se correspondía al que aparecía en las imágenes. Esto es lo de menos. No había ni gel de ducha ni champú, tal como tenia que estar incluido, y tampoco se nos facilitaron cuando se lo preguntamos. Bueno, puede pasar. Volvimos en la noche después de cenar y nos encontramos con cucarachas en la habitación y en las camas. En la recepción no había nadie y, sin tener otra opción, tuvimos que buscar otro sitio donde pasar la noche y al que nos desplazamos a la 1.00 de la madrugada. Al día siguiente el Riad había sido contactado por Booking, ya que nos habíamos puesto en contacto con la atención al cliente para avisarles de la situación y de que no podíamos quedarnos allí por no cumplir ni con lo mínimo. Pasamos por el Riad para explicarles todo lo que pasó personalmente y decirles que nos íbamos a quedar ya en otro sitio. Ni un ”lo siento” ni nada de eso. La mujer nos escuchó y, cuando nos dijo que teníamos que anular la reserva, le dije que tenían que anularla ellos y que desde booking necesitaban recibir un correo de confirmación de lo acontecido por su parte y de que no habíamos pasado ni una noche allí. Fuimos a hablar con ella dos veces y con la excusa de que ella no manejaba las reservas y que el dueño se encontraba en otra ciudad, nos dijo que me contactaría en una hora. Nunca volvió a contactar conmigo ni contestó a mi mensaje de whatsapp. Tampoco nos dio alguna ocpión para encontrarnos a medio camino. Nada. Nos cobró igualmente las 3 noches completas, sabiendo que estuvimos en otro sitio y que tuvimos que pagar allí también. Ha sido una muy mala gestión por una persona deshonesta y mentirosa que sólo está interesada en el dinero y que no sabe ni siquiera qué quiere decir dedic**** a esta profesión. Nos sentimos decepcionadas. Lo dejo a su conciencia. Que esta sed de dinero en detrimento de otras personas respetuosas y honestas le traiga a esa gente lo que se merezca en la vida y en su trabajo.

設施：除了一些小問題， 其他都挺好的。床🛏很舒服，房間裏面有小衣櫃，這個價位的房間有30平米，還供應早餐，性價比真的很高！ 衛生：很乾凈的一個民宿！ 環境：與外麪買東西的吵鬧聲形成了鮮明的對比，衹要一進到這裏麪，就會感覺極其的安靜，很適合緩解工作壓力的旅遊。 服務：這個民宿就4個員工（兩個前台+兩個清潔工），上午的時候可以在廚房那邊看到那兩個清潔工，其他的時候大部分就衹有一個前台💁🏻人員，有時間這兩個前台員工都在。我去的是淡季，在那裡住的兩晚衹有我一個客人，所以那基本上就是我花了最少的錢💰享受到了4個人的服務。有什麼問題去問那兩個前台人員，他們都很和顏悅色並且很耐心地傾聽並儘力幫助你，我走的那天早上還幫我搬着🧳🧳帶去主路上打了出租車，以至於我離開前給了他們每人50迪拉姆的消費。每天晚上他們兩個前台人員都會在廚房裡麪做晚飯吃，還免費邀請我吃。不吃辣且口味不是很重的，可以試試塔吉鍋，味道還是不錯的，尤其是香味特別濃郁。接前一個評論的150迪拉姆晚餐，個人覺得這是正常價位，因為你去外麪的餐館（不包括路邊攤）吃同樣的餐食或者你去附近的中國餐館吃中餐，花費也是差不多的。至於礦泉水，這屬於正常現象了，你去酒店或者景區，礦泉水飲料都是比其他很多地方貴好幾倍的。但是如果你在酒店餐廳裏面詢問熱開水，大部分情況下都是免費🆓的。所以與其喝冷的礦泉水，為什麼不喝熱開水呢（僅限冬季，夏季就不用和熱水了🤣）？總之，我下次來這個城市旅遊，可能還會訂這一家民宿，所以我也推薦來這邊旅遊的人也來這裏住上一兩晚。

The acommodation is in a wonderful building, recently renovated to high quality in a traditional style. The location is good, close to many places of interest such as the tannerys. We took a Petit Taxi from near Fes train station, agreeing a fare of 20 dirams to the Bab Ziat Old City Gate and took a short walk to the location, but 'door to door' pick up can be arranged. On arrival, the owners and staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, asking for our interests and providing a useful local map. There are options to engage local guides, but we chose our own walking routes and locations to visit (it's a good idea to download Fes as an off line map on Google maps for navigation without using roaming data - it's easy to get lost in the medina but that's part of the experience). We were fortunate to have a room on the excellent roof terrace which was spacious, well decorated and very clean. There was strong WiFi throughout the safe and secure acommodation. An excellent breakfast is provided with option for a tasty evening meal (payable in cash when settling on departure - credit card in Dirhams can be used to settle for acommodation) in a beautiful dining area. The management are happy to receive WhatsApp messages to the phone numbers on their website for booking requests and queries etc. Thanks to Said, Fatima, Rashid & Mohammed for your attention and hard work.

I stayed at the Riad Mazar with friends in Feb and would highly recommend this Riad. Its a beautiful building and a feast for the eyes with its architecture and beautifully appointed individually decorated spacious bedrooms. There is a lift to take you up to your room so there is no lugging of bags up stairs. The breakfasts and dinners were restaurant quality... absolutely delicious. The staff were warm and welcoming and the location was excellent to go walking around the Medina. You will not regret staying at this grand beautiful Riad.

We were pleasantly surprised by the Hotel Volubilis. We hesitated to book the hotel because of some bad reviews about not having hot water and the staff being unfriendly (especially to Asians). But we decided to book anyways because of its location and quite affordable price. We were arriving to Fez at around 5pm, and we were told staying at the Medina wouldn't be worth it. Since we were catching a flight the next morning, we thought it would be more convenient to stay in the new city. So, despite some of the bad reviews, we decided to spend the night at Hotel Volubilis. Its location turned out to be great. It's right at the center and by the main avenue. There are lots of places to eat at walking distance and there are several Carrefours closeby also at walking distance. The staff was nice and they welcomed us well and took our request for a taxi to the airport in the morning. So, we have no complaints about the staff. Our room was big with a terrace. The room was old but clean. The terrace had no table or chairs, but it was okay. The bathroom was also big and we had no issues with the hot water. We showered at arrival and in the morning and water was hot and with pressure. The thing that we missed the most in the room was a fridge. Other than that, all good and acceptable. Though we agree with the other comments saying that this is not a 4-star hotel by ”global” standards.

This place is phenomenal! We can’t wait to come back. A wonderful place to land and start our time in Morocco. Beautiful riad with gorgeous rooms. Ours had a fireplace, which we used—very cozy. The staff is extremely kind and supportive. They helped us book a tour through the Fes medina with an awesome guide, Yassine. We highly recommend Yassine. The rooftop restaurant has awesome food with great service and some of the best views in the city. We also had hammam and massages at the spa, which were wonderful and helped alleviate our jet lag. The front desk staff also arranged for a fabulous driver—Omar—from the airport. He was so great we requested him as our driver to Merzouga and Marrakech. Omar was attentive, knowledgeable, informative. He shared intriguing personal commentary that helped us connect with the culture and history of places we passed through. He made lots of fun scheduled stops to enchanting sites along the way. If you’re looking for a wonderful driver and guide, book with Omar: he gets our 5-star review!

Se avete in mente di visitare Fes, dovete assolutamente soggiornare qui! Una volta entrati, verrete accolti in un’incantevole atrio dove vi verrà servito dell’ ottimo the alla menta. Durante la vostra permanenza avrete la costante attenzione dello staff d’accoglienza, composto per lo più da giovani persone. A proposito di questo, mi sento in dovere di esprimere delle parole in favore di Abdul: una persona molto professionale e gentile, sempre attento alle esigenze del cliente e pronto a garantirti una piacevolissima permanenza. Per me ed il mio amico è stato un punto di rifermento. Le stanze sono confortevoli e pulite, la colazione abbondante e varia. Nel caso lo voleste, il riad, mette a disposizione delle guide per la visita della città (consigliatissimo). Nel nostro caso abbiamo conosciuto Mohamed, una guida che ci ha accompagnato per l’intera giornata all’interno e all’esterno di Fes, non facendoci perdere nulla di quello che di bello c’è da vedere. Se abbiamo passato dei giorni speciali a Fes è merito di Abdul e Mohamed. Shukran!

During our three-day adventure in Marrakech, we had the privilege of staying at La Mamunia, a renowned resort celebrated on Netflix's ”Inventing Anna.” From there, our journey took us to Fez, a city that held mysteries and excitement for us. With anticipation and a keen desire for an authentic experience, we chose to stay at Riad Fez, a member of Relais & Chateaux. Our arrival in Fez, close to the stroke of midnight, was met with a delightful surprise: the hotel had arranged a complimentary driver for us. The initial moments, involving a drop-off at a parking lot and a walk through a narrow alley led by a hotel staff - Mouad with a wheelbarrow for our suitcases, felt like a scene from ”Homeland” — uncertain yet thrilling. However, any unease dissolved the moment we stepped into the Riad and were greeted by Anass, whose warm smile and polished demeanor assured us we had made the right choice. The Riad's beauty was immediately apparent, with its elegant architecture and a secluded room that promised privacy and serenity. Anass and his team, including the incredibly accommodating concierge service, were pivotal in enriching our stay. They adeptly handled our queries, seamlessly arranged dining reservations, and ensured our transportation to various restaurants, some of which included a charming walk escorted by a porter or a convenient pickup service. The personal touches didn't stop there; my husband and I indulged in relaxing massages from Hanau and Raga, both of whom provided exceptional service. Under the watchful eye of General Manager Nicolas Grau, the dedication to excellence was evident. Anass, Anwar, Hiba, Zahra - front desk, Sufein, Hanane, Anour - server at breakfast and the rest of the staff went above and beyond, making every interaction memorable. The rooftop terrace offered breathtaking views, adding to the allure of Riad Fez. Zakaria was really helpful with our bags. Located adjacent to the medina, the Riad’s location was ideal for exploring the heart of Fez. Thanks to Anass's meticulous planning, our exploration was worry-free and thoroughly enjoyable, with special mention to Mariam for her guidance in navigating the intricate maze to the Riad. This hidden gem, once discovered, revealed a sanctuary of peace and luxury. Our departure from Riad Fez was bittersweet, marked by the genuine warmth and professionalism of the staff. Our stay was not just a visit but a journey into the heart of Fez, accentuated by impeccable service and a deep sense of belonging.
