We stayed for over 3 weeks and were returning guests. They provided us with a comfortable room with a great view. Breakfast was simple but tasty. There was a lot of construction including the road the hotel access is on and the beach is all torn up at present. Walking south on the beach for a half hour is easy and walking a half hour into the old city is easy. Many great restaurants all around the hotel too. The security at the front door were wonderful, and always so welcoming and friendly. The restaurant food was inconsistent but some of the servers were incredible. We ate there frequently.

Spectacular service, views and food! We had a rough start with some pressured days in the city…we should have come directly here! It’s true about some nights having too much music, neighbours etc…know where you’re going! This is an amazing spot that offers a bit of everything, with HAPPY staff who would love to help with anything you ask. It’s a place to feel at home and feel like a princess. We loved; tranquil ocean, bonfires, Moscow mules, dancing on the beach under the bright moon and the city view, climbing the hill for sunset, yummy food, playing our songs, comfy beds. Yo vuelvo en OTRA OCASIÓN 🤣 I’ll be back, Pura vida and thank you all for making some of my most memorable days ever 🤩

La ubicación es perfecta. Esta en plena zona de restaurantes y bares de Getsemaní. El personal fue amable, el desayuno muy rico y siempre nos hicieron limpieza en el cuarto. La relación precio calidad es excelente. Recomiendo mucho este hotel y si vuelvo a Cartagena y quiero estar en Getsemaní sin duda me hospedería nuevamente acá. Mi única sugerencia para el hotel es que pongan una canasta para echar basura en el cuarto y que tengan una neverita en el cuarto para poder poner agua, cerveza y bebidas. Aunque nos facilitaron la nevera de la cocina para guardarlas.

The complimentary shuttle to town is not allowed to be used by people checking out. I was not informed of this until trying to board the shuttle when I was blocked and made to pay for a hotel taxi which only goes to the airport. Keep this in mind when planning to leave the resort. The all-inclusive does not include snacks at many of the cafés and also does not include café drinks like cappuccinos. Those all cost extra. Much of the staff speaks little or no English so it was hard to understand what the staff were saying. Pools and beach close way too early, beach closes before sunset and pools close before dinner has even started. Don't expect to take any moonlight walks on the beach either, as they post security to keep everyone out. The beach has a VIP area, but it is very similar to the normal area. Both the beach and pool have beds for all guests. Restaurants do not serve appetizers or desserts, those are both buffet style from a buffet split across all three dinner restaurants. Additionally the native food restaurant is not open to eat inside, instead it uses the same venue as the breakfast buffet. I was informed that the tennis courts are closed, the gym is still open though. The beach bar and poolside bar are really just one bar which is located away from the beach and outside the pool area. TVs in the room do not accept USB or wireless input so remember to bring your HDMI cords. Slow service at the breakfast buffet and dinner, though the food was good. The rooms were very nice and spacious, I had the Junior Suite. AC worked perfectly. Laundry service is extremely costly, over 80 USD for one load of laundry. The spa has many services and is priced pretty similarly to other spas in Cartagena. Option to book a room with a private hot tub is only available on their website, from what I can find. (The company website, not the specific hotel's website) I would only recommend this resort at the 55% discount I got when booking it.

This hotel is clean. The staff are friendly. It is situated very near to the airport and about 20 minutes outside of the town. There is a nice and small pool on the roof where you can order simple food and various alcoholic drinks. Breakfast was not to our liking at all. There was no buffet and waitresses knew no English so we relied on Google translate. The breakfast menu was very limited with no vegetables although a small bowl of fruit, which appeared to have been cut from the previous day, was available. Hot drinks in the form of thermoses of coffee, chocolate and hot water, with different flavoured teas were available. The bedroom - ours had a balcony with 2 plastic chairs - was clean and tidy with a good view to the sea and planes taking off It was extremely basic. No glasses for toothbrush and toothpaste in the bathroom. There was no way to make a hot drink in the bedroom. There was a small fridge.

Three things lowered the grade for this hotel: location, dining, and poor wifi. Be warned, this Holiday Inn on Manga is not near the main spots. Getsemani is about a 30-minute walk and Bocagrande is a car ride away. The hotel is located in a business district within sight of the port and the cruise ship terminal. While it is quiet and very safe, you'll be walking or taking taxis to go anywhere interesting. The hotel's restaurant only serves breakfast. You are on your own for lunch and dinner. There are a few restaurants about 10 to 20 minutes' walk away. They do have a small store where you can buy snacks and drinks, but nothing substantial. I'm not sure if this is the result of Covid, but it can be a problem unless you eat while you are out. I found the wifi was hit and miss especially on the floors below reception. This hotel's reception is on the 10th floor and the rooms are on floors below. I understand the internet in Colombia is barely 10 mb/s, but it would seem more nests might be the solution to help boost the signal. The Good The staff are very friendly. They are very nice and welcoming. The general manager takes time to chat with guests and introduce himself which is a practice I have rarely seen in hotels. There is a small swimming pool on the 10th floor with views of the city and the flight path to the airport which is on the other side of La Popa. It would not take much for this hotel to be a great hotel. An express lunch or dinner on offer would make things better. It is clear that this hotel caters to a business demographic, but it will do in a pinch for tourists, especially if you won't want to stay in the party zones.

I had a very pleasant stay at Patio de Getsemani. The place is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast very good, and above all the staff is very friendly and helpful. Patio de Getsemani is located inside the old city's wall, in the area of Getsemani which is very enjoyable (several cool bars and restaurants, beautiful streetart, nice streetlife...) and safe, close the historical center by walk (a safe walk). We were beyond excited for our stay at the hotel. This was the first time in seven years we were away without our kids, and we had arrived in Cartagena from an incredible stay in Medellin. I poured over reviews and picked this hotel because of all the wonderful comments about it being quiet , romantic , and wonderful service from the incredible staff. We were only here for two days, but unfortunately, although the staff was very nice, we did not experience what others did. There was an incredibly loud family that basically took over the whole hotel with very loud toddlers/young children ( about 4 -6 kids total) that were allowed to scream and run, and pound on our doors all day and very early in the morning. In fact, one day,,they were pounding on our door at 5:30 AM. The children were also allowed to run all around during breakfast time screaming so loudly we couldn’t even hear each other. We never were able to use the small pool because they took over the whole area splashing and screaming in the pool and outside of it, which was also right outside our room. There was no where for us to go during our entire stay that was relaxing or romantic. Again, I have children, but this is not the right place to stay with loud, young children. They either should’ve rented out the entire hotel or been encouraged to stay elsewhere. Also, the guests didn’t even attempt to tell their children to quiet down or behave. There was a very nice family with one child there the morning we left and it wasn’t a big deal at all. They were appropriate with their level of noise and didn’t disturb us in any way. In fact, this family, even though they had a child, seemed quite annoyed with the other family and kids as well. Although the staff was very nice and apologetic and said that they were going to credit our stay given all of our issues, this has not happened as of yet. I’ve had some communication with the hotel, but it has been over three months and I haven’t received a credit yet. Through reading other reviews, I see some people were offered additional meals at the hotel, but this was never offered to us. Overall, we had a wonderful trip to Colombia and our stay at the SOFITEL after this was lovely, but our stay at Hotel Quadrifolio was not the 5 star experience we were hoping for.
