This fulfilled all my needs and more because of the ease of the process and front staff service given when I inquired. I ended up staying another night and glad I did, saving me time and allowed me to finish all I needed to. Thanks and would definitely use again.

A great hotel exemplified by the very strong hospitality offered upon check-in. Room upgrade offered for a very small fee, checks undertaken and even a free, warmed cookie. Upgraded room was spacious and comfortable and the hotel is located a 2 minute walk from the waterfront and a selection of great eateries. Breakfast was very good and lots to choose from. Would definitely use again.

Room was pretty clean on arrival, staff on check in very friendly. Does not mention that parking is $25 per day. This should be clear when booking as specifically booked this hotel due to parking being advertised. Hotel also has a 15% earthquake rating which again is not mentioned in advert. Luckily no earthquake and we live to write this review!! Finally no power outlet next to the bed which was very inconvenient and not a fan of 2 in 1 body wash / shampoo as never works well as a shampoo!

Excellent location for an early morning flight. Literally 2 mins to check in counters. Comfortable, clean and great checkin staff. Thank you.

The room was just what we wanted, plus perfect to all the sites we wanted to visit within walking distance, highly recommended but a little maintenance is needed in the room we had, the toilet continued to run after flushing until one of us hit the flush button again, (half flush) the shower leaked at one of the connections ( must have been known as it showed calcium buildup) otherwise it was brilliant…

First time stayed with this hotel, was a bit worried without air conditioning but turned out great. The staffs were friendly, hotel room was clean and spacious enough to fit 3 people. Will definitely consider staying again when I next visit Wellington.

โรงแรมมีทำเลที่ดีเยี่ยม สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกครบครัน และสภาพแวดล้อมที่สวยงาม 1. เมื่อออกจากโรงแรม ตรงไปทางซ้ายแล้วข้ามถนนไปริมทะเล 2. เมื่อออกจากโรงแรมแล้วให้เลี้ยวขวาแล้วข้ามถนนไปจะเห็นป้ายสถานีกระเช้าไฟฟ้าโมโนเรล ขึ้นกระเช้าไปจนสุดภูเขา จะพบพิพิธภัณฑ์กระเช้าลอยฟ้า สวนพฤกษศาสตร์ หอดูดาวและสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวอื่น ๆ คุณสามารถมองเห็นวิวเมืองได้แบบพาโนรามา! สวย!

Stayed one night at James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor for a conference held onsite. Check-in staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel has three separate lift banks servicing different areas — if you’re unfamiliar with Wellington, definitely ask staff to explain the easiest exit route to the city. It makes a big difference. Breakfast was a very large buffet with plenty of options, though I’ve experienced better quality elsewhere. The hotel itself is older but has solid bones. Perfectly adequate for a work overnight stay. For personal travel I’d probably choose somewhere with more atmosphere, however it felt safe and comfortable. One odd feature: some rooms face an internal terrace/window area — remember to close your curtains as people can see straight in. Bed was clean and well made, the room was tidy, though the carpet is showing its age. The shower had excellent pressure and plenty of hot water — a highlight. Overall: reliable, practical conference accommodation rather than a destination stay.
