We booked a 1 night stay for New Years Eve and were very happy with everything.
The room with a view was lovely . Warm & with tea coffee facilities & a comfy bed.
The staff were all very friendly & accommodating and breakfast was plentiful in a lovely dining area with fab views.
My only small grumbles would be that the furniture in the room needs an upgrade and there was a £10 charge for the car park .
Booed through trip.com. Made a mistake in my booking and booed a room that required disabled access. This was pointed out by a very helpful young lady called Laura (I think?) She amended our booking and very gratefully gave us a sea view room! We had stayed in Paignton the previous night in the Travelodge down the road as it was a bit cheaper. If/when we come again I’d have no hesitation in paying the extra and staying here again. Please thank the wonderful Laura from us! 👍

A very comfortable hotel, felt welcoming with their friendly staffs, an eco environment in every aspect and a lovely patio garden cafe with parasol and sofa. Great for family of 4, beds were comfy and the room was cool in summer with its clever eco cooling system. Location is great next to the M5 with easy access to Cornwall and Devon seasides.
The hotel and area was fantastic, however, service at the front desk and the restaurant was lacking.
We took a long weekend break and were excited to try the beach club, however our experience was dampened by the service.
Being made to stand around for 5 minutes, whilst being told we hadn't paid (when we had) was unnecessary and frankly embarrassing.
The restaurant was the most disappointing part of the stay.
I'm the evening service was slow, followed by having our order wrong twice and also dropped.
Breakfast at the restaurant was lacking compared to cheaper hotels that offer continental. Small selection , nothing outstanding. When we ordered a cooked breakfast, it took 30-40 minutes to receive some eggs and pancakes although the restaurant was fairly quiet.
However, the room, facilities, and the spa were fantastic. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. The beach club outside was gorgeous. The spa was perfect and treatments were, to quote my partner, 'one of the best massages of my life'.
We're unsure if we would come back. Although the facilities were great, the service was mostly subpar and not what we'd expect from a harbour hotel.
Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making me feel right at home. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay.
The location was perfect! close to everything but still peaceful enough for a good night’s rest.
The spa is incredible, so relaxing. Ideal location with about 10 mins walk to Harbour and to Meadfoot beach. Breakfast was on the small side but tasty. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are okay, clean, but for 4* I’d expect a bit more like an iron in the room, toiletries, wash cloths etc. Didn’t sleep that well unfortunately as was woken up by people coming back to room as doors are loud and corridor floors are creaky. This let it down, but I’d return for the spa experience!

ผผู้เข้าพักA time share complex selling rooms available on an ad hoc basis. Apartment had a good kitchen, dining are, lounge, separate bedroom and bathroom. Leisure facilities excellent. Location in the middle of very scenic countryside lovely but a drive to nearest town. Room needed a refreshing coat of paint but did not impinge on our stay. Restaurant, bar and small farm shop on site at acceptable cost. Staff very helpful, efficient and friendly.

GGillfromUKThe Mercure is centrally located 5 mins walk from the centre of the city and the Cathedral. Our room on the third floor was clean and serviceable although some of the furniture had seen better days. Car parking is available and costs £15 per day which is cheaper than the public car parking across the road. Families note, pool costs £10/adult. (Children free)
ผผู้เข้าพักI found the hotel staff very helpful and friendly, especially the bar and restaurant staff. In particular Cloe was very efficient and helpful behind the bar. She explained really well how to find the various attractions that we wanted to see. Nothing was too much trouble.
The staff in the restaurant were also extremely efficient and friendly both at breakfast and especially during the evening meal. Unfortunately I did not think to take their names at the time.
The only negative was the meal itself. Everything was good except for my steak. It was cooked just as I liked it, however it was tough and gristly. I did not complain at the time because as I said, everything else was really good, and I was not going to put a damper on the evening.
ผผู้เข้าพักThe Palace Hotel was a delight to stay at. The rooms were warm, comfortable and clean. The staff were lovely and we were surprised to have evening entertainment. We went on a budget and were delighted with the hotel.
Only thing to add was the bathroom was a bit dated and could do with a new set, I understand having orgional features is nice, however, I think new would be better.
Also we were told breakfast would be £9.00 each on arrival, but when we went to pay it what a whopping £27.00 for a full English (1 of each item) amd some avocado and boiled egg on toast... of course we could have the continental... but it did make us cough a bit!! The service was great though.
Overall great stay would recommend and return.

ผผู้เข้าพักDisappointed no fridge in room
But overall cleanliness was good
Nice bathrobe
Toilet smelt of stale urine
Beds were hard as were pillows didn't have a restful sleep for 2 nights
Food in reaastuarant 3 courses was plenty and good value for money
Over all pleasant place to stay why I awaited my husband to return from his surgery
The range shop was a good distraction as was KFC
Ms round the corner and Aldi
Also majestic wines
Would stay again though
