The hotel has a good location - right at the main square of La Plata. So, at breakfast you have a nice view, with the Cathedral and everything.
In the room everything was well, except maybe for the table that was too small to work with a laptop.
The hotel is located in a beautiful spot on the marina, giving you the feeling that you’re far away from Buenos Aires. The property itself is not new — it used to be an InterContinental — but it’s kept in reasonably good condition. There are some service issues, especially if you don’t speak Spanish very well, but they can be resolved.
The rooms are quite comfortable. The spa area is nice, and there’s an In-Out pool, meaning part of it is indoors and part outdoors. I also really enjoyed the breakfasts: there are freshly squeezed juices, a huge variety of pastries, and plenty of fresh fruit.
As a hotel for a short getaway outside the city, not far from Buenos Aires, it’s an ideal choice. And the price is reasonable.
We stayed as a couple with our 1-year-old baby and were absolutely delighted. For this price, the place is simply excellent: a private villa with a parrilla right in the middle of a pine forest, and the ocean is literally just a 3-minute walk away. We especially loved having a private beach area with sun loungers, which made the whole experience feel even more comfortable and relaxing. It was quiet, beautiful, and very cozy, and traveling with a child felt easy and convenient. This place is perfect for a family vacation.
