We recently stayed at the ibis budget Leuven Centrum for a short work trip, and overall, it met our basic needs. The location near the train station was convenient for getting around quickly, which was helpful given our tight schedule. Check-in was easy, and the staff we interacted with were polite and efficient.
Our rooms were simple and compact, as expected for a budget hotel, but they were clean and had the essentials—comfortable enough beds, functional showers, and a generally quiet environment for resting after long workdays. The limited space meant it wasn’t ideal for spending much time in the room, but it worked fine for sleeping and getting ready each day.
Amenities were minimal, and the interior felt a bit worn, though nothing that negatively affected our stay. For a short, no-frills work visit, the hotel was adequate. If you’re looking mainly for affordability and convenience rather than comfort or extra features, it does the job.
Zou hier volgende keer zeker weer verblijven.
The hotel was fantastic, the people were great! The only problem I had was they had a washer and dryer to use but it took 4 hours to do two loads of laundry that cost me $30.00. Because we were traveling backpack that was one of the most important things on our trip. So it was a great disappointment. Other than that the hotel was fantastic and again the customer service was really good. I would definitely stay there again just make other plans to do laundry.
ผผู้เข้าพักI have never had doubts about Novotel, having stayed at Novotel hotels in Antwerp, Singapore, and now Brussels. I usually have good experience with Novotel hence the hotel has been my choice. Normally, I always inform the hotel in advance if I will be checking in late by using the link provided by Trip.com, and I usually receive a prompt and professional response from Novotel hotels.
Unfortunately, my experience with Novotel Brussels Airport was disappointing. Despite sending emails to inform them about my late check-in—first via the *********** link and then directly to the hotel—I received no response at all. This is unusual, as on the same day I contacted two different hotels for upcoming stays, and the other hotel replied promptly. Only Novotel Brussels Airport did not respond.
There was also a booking issue where I was told that my two children were not included in the reservation, even though the booking was made through Trip.com’s automated system and full payment had already been completed. The receptionist told me they cant do anything since I came late. But I showed them my email via the trip.com link and they said that was not their email address. So Is the management or your staffs not doing a good homework professionally?
To make matters worse, I accidentally left my mobile phone at the hotel and only realized it half a day later. When I called the hotel, I was told to send an email. I emailed twice, yet I still have not received any reply. It is very frustrating when phone assistance is unhelpful and emails are simply ignored.
Overall, I felt unsupported and unsure where to seek help due to the lack of response and assistance. This experience does not meet the standards I have come to expect from Novotel. I sincerely hope Novotel Brussels Airport will improve its communication and customer service.
ผผู้เข้าพักVery disappointing stay
We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Brussels Airport with my wife and our two children, and unfortunately the experience was far below what you would expect from a Hilton property.
The room itself was spacious, modern and nicely designed, which is the only positive point of this stay. However, I had clearly booked the room for four people, and this was also confirmed in my booking. Yet when we arrived, there was only one double bed and a sofa bed — without any bedding provided for the sofa bed. With two children, this immediately became a problem.
To make matters worse, the coffee machine in the room had only one paper cup and no proper mugs, which feels very cheap for a Hilton hotel. The TV in the living area was not working at all, which added to the frustration after a long day of travel.
When I called the front desk to explain these issues, the staff member was rude and dismissive. He even claimed I had only booked for two people, despite me having the confirmation clearly showing four guests. There was no apology, no willingness to help — just an unpleasant attitude.
Overall, this stay felt unprofessional and poorly managed. For a Hilton Garden Inn near an international airport, this level of service is simply unacceptable. I would not choose this hotel again and cannot recommend it to families.
UUwanimbiI enjoyed my stay at the Pentahotel, Leuven. The ambience is retro chic on entry. The checking in & out processes were easy. I requested for a quiet room and it was honoured so I had a good rest on days I stayed in. The location is great, close to most of the sights and a good walking distance from others. I walked to and fro the tours but I could see the buses and lots of cyclists moving around. Customer service was great. Liza was really helpful and friendly. She was mostly at the reception and always had a smiling face when responding to questions/enquiries. My room was clean and since they have gone eco green, you only request for cleaning services when needed, which I think is a great way to reduce waste. The basics were available in my room but I would suggest adding a tiny vanity kit for emergency situations. Also, the discounted coins they give upon checking in for drinks at the bar or in the lounge was a nice touch. In summary, Pentahotel is a nice place to stay and enjoy the beautiful city of Leuven. I did.
