Stayed here for 7 nights in a Superior golden horn king size room and found our experience to be okay. I am a bit divided on how to write this review, since we had a good stay but with soo many minor ”things”. When my partner arrived at check in time, the room wasn't ready. He waited about 45min longer before he was able to check in. • The room: Upon checking in we noticed that the doorlock was busted and asked reception to fix this. (This was very quickly repaired after asking) The handsoap wasn't refilled between guests, we had to mention this to reception. We noticed that they clean the bathroom with a substance that leaves greasy marks, so even though your bathroom is ”cleaned”, it doesn't always look like it. The tiny mirror and the hairdryer socket flap were both dirty after checking in and not cleaned in any of the days that we were there. The shower glass isn't extended too far, so be prepared that when you shower the floor will get quite wet. Housekeeping doesn't restock any teas during a 7day stay. If you fancy something that you've finished, you need to ask reception to stock it again. They did restock our water every day though, so I'm not sure why they'd only do it halfway. The bathroom door isn't actually a solid door but two halves. Which is okay, but if you don't like to hear your partner in the bathroom or on the toilet- you might have an issue with this. The room had 1/2 a view of the elevator, the other half was of the river, the bridge and the mosques. (View was decent) Maybe the most important lack of this room: the matrass. There is nothing actually wrong with the bed itself besides the mattress splitting in half at times. However the mattress itself is past its due date. It had such a hole in the middle of too many people having slept in it. It was quite hard to sometimes get comfortabele since you aren't well aligned, it ended up giving me a little neck ache. • The location: The location of this hotel is great. You are near the Galata area and tower, you can easily walk down towards the water and bridge (both sides). And there is plenty to see and do within a 30min walk- area. The hotel is located semi at the bottom of the hill. If you fancy getting to Galata tower, be prepared for a steep- but beautiful walk up. Plenty of good restaurants near this hotel or only a short taxi drive away. • The service Reception as well as the waitstaff are lovely. If there is anything- they'll fix it for you. They are always willing to help and they get it sorted as quickly as they can. • The buffet The majority of the photo's I'm posting with this review will be of the buffet. I've noticed that there arent many photos online of it and I think it could be a selling point for foreigners to choose this hotel. They have a range of pastries and breads every morning. Boiled eggs and a selection of warm dishes. They have their salad and fruit bar with yoghurts available. And their cheeses and meats to fit any dish. They have an egg service where you can order eggs to your liking with table service. They also provide coffees as per table service too. Service during breakfast hours is lovely and they try to memorise your orders. We noticed a (relatively new to Hospitality) Turkish guy working there, and he always made us feel welcomed. Even though we doesn't speak a word of English. Reason for me finding it difficult to write this review is: The standard in Turkey is a bit older than in other places in the world. I feel like we paid a significant amount of money for this room, but got outdated quality? I wouldn't say this is a 5 star hotel, not even 4 stars to be honest. However, for the quality standard in Turkey I do believe that this considered to be a good hotel. We enjoyed our stay here, but aren't necessarily too sure it is priced accordingly to it's quality. I'm giving it 4 stars due to the location and the service, but am not convinced it's fully worth the price you pay.

Perfect location for everything we walked everywhere as the main attractions and bazaars were within 5 mins walking. Left was Hagia Sofia. Palace etc, right were bazaars...straight down was the sea. The hotel was lovely, and breakfast had everything I liked and more. The view from the top was amazing; you could see all across Istanbul. Our room was very clean, and we even had soothing music in the bathroom, which was a really nice touch. I gave 4 stars for amenities because although the hotel has a spa, I was really hoping for a hammam experience and unfortunately it was mixed. If they offered an hour or even part of the day for ladies only, this hotel would be an absolute winner. One small downside was that our taxi couldn’t drop us off or pick us up directly outside the hotel, so we had to walk about 3 minutes. That said, the area felt very safe we walked out at 10pm as two women and felt completely comfortable. There’s even a police station right opposite the hotel! Overall, a great stay and I’d definitely recommend it.

My first night was a disaster because my room's power supply kept cutting off and they took almost 3 to 4 hours to fix it, due to that I couldn't sleep the whole night and my morning plans got wasted too. I asked the hotel manager Mr.Arda to give me an extra night, (he refused), airport transfer on my checkout date , (he refused) , room upgrade, (he refused) , Then Mr Arda promised us a complimentary dinner at the rooftop restaurant and that was amazing .My initial plan was to stay 3 nights but then I extended it for 2 more nights because of 1 man Mr.Karem at the reception , the nicest guy of the hotel , Mr.Karem and Mr.Arda helped us alot and supported us in every aspect, but sorry to say all the other staff members there had just 1 answer. im sorry we cannot help you we cannot help you , I'll definitely visit again, Thanks to Mr.Arda and Mr.Karem ❤️ and lastly thanks to Mr.Servet who told us about the free shuttle service provided by the hotel which takes us to Taksim . โรงแรมระดับดีเยี่ยมในย่านเมืองเก่าของอิสตันบูล! สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก: โรงแรมใหม่และทันสมัยมาก ห้องพักเล็กแต่มีอุปกรณ์ครบครัน และมีระเบียงเล็กๆ พร้อมวิวสวยงาม มีแมว NPC อยู่ที่ทางเข้า ความสะอาด: ห้องพักสะอาดมาก และเครื่องนอนก็ยอดเยี่ยม บริการ: พนักงานต้อนรับส่วนหน้าให้การต้อนรับดีมาก เมื่อเรามาถึงสถานีรถไฟใต้ดินที่ทางแยก มีคนออกมาช่วยยกกระเป๋า Yigi THAN พาเราไปที่ห้อง อธิบายสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก และยังมาส่งเราตอนเช็คเอาท์ด้วย ไม่ต้องให้ทิปเลย โรงแรมอยู่ติดกับสำนักงานผู้ว่าการ ซึ่งมีการรักษาความปลอดภัยอย่างเข้มงวดด้วยบอดี้การ์ดติดอาวุธ – ระบบรักษาความปลอดภัยยอดเยี่ยม! บริเวณนั้นเต็มไปด้วยร้านค้าและธุรกิจต่างๆ และสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวสำคัญๆ รวมถึงชายหาดก็อยู่ในระยะเดินถึง มีคาเฟ่ดีๆ สองแห่งอยู่ด้านนอกโรงแรม ดังนั้นจึงหาอาหารเช้าทานได้ง่ายๆ

โรงแรมไม่แย่ เหนื่อยนิดหน่อยแต่ก็น่าอยู่ เช็คอินและเช็คเอาท์เร็วสุด ผ้าเช็ดตัวและผ้าปูเตียงสะอาด ก็มีสบู่ รองเท้าแตะ แชมพู ฯลฯ อาหารเช้าเป็นเรื่องธรรมดา แต่ทุกคนสามารถหาสิ่งที่ชอบได้ ค่อนข้างใกล้กับรถไฟใต้ดิน เรือ และป้ายรถประจำทาง สิ่งที่น่าทึ่งที่สุดคือวิวจากสนามแข่ง

หลังจากกลับจากปามุคคาเล เราพักที่อิสตันบูลสามคืน โดยเลือกโรงแรมนี้ในย่านเมืองเก่า ล็อบบี้ซึ่งสามารถเข้าถึงได้ด้วยบันได ให้ความรู้สึกถึงความโอ่อ่าและหรูหราในอดีต แม้สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกจะเก่าแต่ก็ใช้งานได้ดี ห้องพักมีขนาดเล็กแต่สะดวกสบาย และเตียงแม้จะไม่กว้างแต่ก็น่าพึงพอใจ อาหารเช้ามีให้เลือกหลากหลายและครบครัน ตั้งอยู่ในย่านเมืองเก่า ซึ่งเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวสำคัญ ไม่ไกลจากสถานีรถไฟใต้ดินและอยู่ติดกับรถไฟฟ้ารางเบา ทำให้สะดวกมากสำหรับนักเดินทางอิสระอย่างเรา ที่สำคัญที่สุดคือพนักงานโรงแรมให้ความอบอุ่นและเป็นมิตรอย่างเหลือเชื่อ เราขอขอบคุณบุคคลต่อไปนี้เป็นพิเศษที่ให้ความช่วยเหลือเรา: สุภาพบุรุษที่นำกระเป๋าสัมภาระของเรามาที่ห้องพักเวลา 10:30 น. ของวันที่ 17, รูโม หญิงสาวที่ให้บริการอย่างอบอุ่นและเอาใจใส่ในห้องอาหาร, มายา ผู้ดูแลห้อง 4220 ของเราให้สะอาดและสะดวกสบายทุกวัน และพนักงานหญิงประจำล็อบบี้คาเฟ่ที่กรุณาถ่ายรูปให้เรา พวกคุณทุกคนช่วยเติมเต็มเสน่ห์ให้กับโรงแรมเก่าแห่งนี้ได้อย่างแท้จริง และเราขอแสดงความขอบคุณอย่างจริงใจ!

Добрый день! Начну с того, что отель не выполнил свои обязательства по предоставлению забронированного номера. Бронировали на семью семейный номер с балконом. Приехали в отель на заселение, нам сходу было заявлено, что с нашим номером возникли проблемы и поселить нас не могут. Предложили одни сутки провести в другом отеле. Беллбой проводил нас до отеля и донес багаж. Предложенный отель оказался, мягко говоря, ночлежкой - маленькие комнатки, не работающий кондиционер, в общем это ужас. Расстроились так, что положили чемодан и тут же ушли в город, вернулись только переночевать. Утром следующего дня мы вернулись в наш отель на завтрак и оставить багаж на хранение. После завтрака уточнили, по поводу нашего номера, сказали готов будет к 14:00, хотя накануне обещали что возможно и с утра уже заселят. Опять обманули, решили не растраиваться и ушли гулять. Вернулись в отель в 14:30 и каково же наше было удивление, когда на ресепшен достали 2 ключ-карты с разными номерами, даже не смежными, а находящимися на разных концах этажа. Вот тебе и семейный номер! Кроме того, когда мы вернулись в отель в нем было с 12:00 отключено электричество, вернуть которое обещали в 20:00… решили посмотреть мы предложенные номера, естественно, они совершенно не соответствовали тому, что бронировали, балкона не было, за который берут доп деньги. Так как были уже вымотаны этими путешествиями по хостелам, решили уже взять предложенные номера. Но это полное разочарование! Вернувшись в отель вечером, в районе 23:30, обещанного в 20:00 электричества, так и не было, а это значит и отсутвие горячей воды и кондиционера. У входа собралась большая часть постояльцев, которая требовала решения вопроса (к слову, управляющий постоянно отсутствует и если вы хотите с ним пообщаться, то его надо ждать 1-2-3 часа). В результате хостес опять попытался предложить переселение на одну ночь в другой отель, все пошли за вещами, каково было наше удивление, когда мы спустились, а уже ни кого нет, про нас просто забыли. Между тем время уже после полуночи, остались ждать, когда вернется хостес и нас переселят, спустя часа 1,5, всех постояльцев привезли обратно 😂 видимо не нашли столько «отелей», чтоб всех расселить. Спустя некоторое время в район 2 часов ночи, все таки дали электричество. Итак из 3 ночей 2 ночи мы провели в полном стрессе и не понимании. К слову, в отеле и на следующий день вырубали электричество, но дали все таки его быстрее. По сервису в отеле. В номере кончилась туалетная бумага и не работал телевизор. Сперва супруг попросил на ресепшен пополнить бумагу и разобраться с телевизором, затем я лично попросила уборщиц, которые делали уборку в нашем номере, дать бумагу, каково же было наше удивление, когда мы вернулись вечером в номер, а бумаги как не было так и нет!!! Ну и естественное телевизор так и не работал. Пришлось еще дважды посетить ресепшен, чтоб получить рулон бумаги. Воду за все проживание ни разу не пополнили. В номере, который мы бронировали, должны были быть тапочки, в номерах которые дали, в одном были, вдругом нет. В отеле предлагался завтрак на террасе ресторана, завтрак средний, все заветренное, потому что ни как и ни чем не накрывается, выбор средний - куча сыров одного вида, разной нарезки, отварные яйца, фрукты (в первые дни скудное количество дыни и резанного апельсина с грейпфрутом, чуть позже видимо заехали иностранные туристы, выбор стал богаче). Кофе, естественно кофе-машина не работала, был только растворимый, который моментально заканчивался и приходилось постоянно простить. Из положительного только вид на террасе во время завтрака. В остальном не рекомендую, много проблем в отеле, вечные обещание, но ни каких действий по исправлению ситуации нет. Моя оценка отелю 1 бал из 10.

One of the best hotel in Istanbul,walking distance to major attraction,service from the staff to the manager are superb,high class service.Bfast was good,room are big & super clean! The manager even gave us a late check-out (4pm) with no charge! Highly recommended hotel if u are in Istanbul,we will be coming back again if we are in Instanbul.

I have stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Istanbul before, in 2017 and 2018, and unfortunately my recent stay was very different from those previous experiences. The hotel itself has changed noticeably. The lobby used to feel much bigger, and now it feels smaller, with shops added that weren’t there before. While the hotel still offers good dining options—including Nobu, an Italian restaurant, and a well-known Turkish restaurant—Nobu in particular feels small compared to other locations worldwide. We stayed during the New Year and winter season, and the hotel felt lacking in festive spirit. The decorations were very minimal: mainly an outdoor Christmas tree and a YSL light tree inside, with only basic décor scattered around. Compared to other hotels we stayed in during the same period, it did not feel festive or atmospheric at all. If you are looking for a strong holiday or seasonal theme, this hotel may not meet that expectation. This is purely based on the overall look and feeling. Upon arrival, no welcome drinks were offered, which was surprising for a Ritz-Carlton. We noticed other guests receiving welcome drinks while we did not. The check-in area is quite small and not suitable for handling large families or groups. There is also no proper waiting area, except for two chairs near the entrance. At check-in, we were informed that our three rooms were on different floors (2, 3, and 10), which was shocking since we had requested connected rooms or at least rooms close to each other. The rooms themselves varied greatly: • The 2nd-floor room had a terrace but was not family-friendly at all. When exiting the elevator, the area felt very dark due to the wallpaper colors, which my children described as “creepy.” • The 3rd-floor room was slightly better, but the window faced a plant wall, making it feel like a basement room. • The 10th-floor room had a partial Bosphorus view and was by far the best room of the three. Because of these issues, I contacted Trip customer service, and I would like to sincerely thank Maxence Cui for the hard work, patience, and dedication shown while assisting us. Maxence truly tried everything possible to help us in a very stressful situation, and their efforts did not go unnoticed. I could see that the Ritz-Carlton management was actively involved in the discussion. Eventually, Mr. Mohammed, the hotel manager, stepped in and handled the situation with kindness and professionalism. He made us feel welcome, encouraged us to stay, and offered to move the other two rooms to the same floor, which greatly improved our experience. Many thanks to him as well. After the room change, we were finally together as a family, with partial sea views and garden views. The room service food was excellent, which was one of the highlights of our stay. Overall, this stay was not the Ritz-Carlton experience we are used to from other locations around the world. While the situation improved thanks to the efforts of both Maxence Cui and Mr. Mohammed, it still did not fully meet our expectations. It was okay, but not the memorable luxury experience we associate with the Ritz-Carlton brand.
