Unique hostel with individual curtain and invidividual wardrobe: adding more privacy and security.
Just next to Roma Street station: very easy access to many trains and busses. Also, just a short walk to the heart of Brisbane City.
Next door is the Roamer Club which has many foods and drinks (including alcohol).
At my visit, the customer service is super excellent especially Gonzalo.
A very comfortable stay with friendly and helpful staff.”Clean, well-maintained rooms and a pleasant atmosphere throughout the hotel.”
Great location and excellent service — we would happily stay again.”
Everything was well organised and made our stay enjoyable.
I would highly recommend recommend this hotel.
Shout out to the restaurant staff. They made our stay even more memorable considering my situation at the time . Thank you
We had a great stay here. My parents had also booked to stay as we were travelling together and even though an earlier email had told us we couldn’t room closer due to being full booked, on arrival the lovely gentleman checking us in moved my parents closer. Also happy to pop a microwave and toaster in the room (small fee) which was handy for heating little one’s meals and making her toast for breakfast. Had a great bath too! We dined at the restaurant and the staff were ver helpful also.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5‑Star Review: Pacific Hotel Cairns
We had an excellent stay at Pacific Hotel Cairns. Max at the front desk was outstanding—warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful from the moment we arrived. Mila was also wonderful and made us feel very welcome.
Our room was clean, spacious, and brightly lit, with a comfortable layout and a balcony that opened to lovely views. The location couldn’t be better: easy walking distance to major tour departure points, the Esplanade, and many great restaurants. The convenience of a self‑service laundry room was another big plus during our travels.
Overall, this hotel delivered comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cairns.
The staff went above and beyond to help us when we arrived in Brisbane at 4am yesterday. Only flaws are the lack of aircon on the other side of the dorm, and requiring a passport number, but all was ok in the end. We met a fellow teddy mummy and Cuddly and I made a new friend!
We couldn’t fault the point hotel. The staff are friendly and exceptionally helpful even at busy times like New Years. The rooms are clean, well equipped and very comfortable and the roof top bar and restaurant were lovely. We will absolutely stay again. The only feedback I’d mention is the toiletries provided (soap/ hand wash and shampoo/conditioner combined were pretty average and not what was pictured in the advertisement. Otherwise this was an incredible stay.
All fine, best location, nice sized rooms. Mercure level.
But unfortunately there are building construction next to hotel. It gets noisy starting 06:45 am. Outside bar is under renovation. Also bedsheets is very synthetic.
And it’s overpriced higher than market.
Love the hotel, location, cleanliness, comfort of the room, amenities, and friendly staff. HOWEVER, after 8 hours of flying, or driving, the staff greet you only to require you to check yourself in at the kiosk. I went through the whole complex process with an attendant assisting only for the kiosk to tell me I had to see an attendant to check in. WTH!
How frustrating and not a great way to be greeted at a hotel. I know the hotel staff was frustrated with the process too and it's another total disconnect from corporate with the individual hotel. I felt it was a cold and impersonal process especially following a long trip when all you want to do is to finally get to a room and away from the public. They also required me to use the kiosk to check out the next morning. I refused , handed the key to the attendant, and walked out.
When you pay a hundred or two hundred or more for a room the least they can do is to provide you some personal service for 5 or 10 minutes during your stay.
I will stay elsewhere besides an Accor hotel in the future. What a huge failure on their end.
ผผู้เข้าพักThe hotel is old but well maintained. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and breakfast was nice. Please note that toothbrushes and mineral water are not provided; however, I was aware of this from previous reviews and prepared my own in advance.
JJustinThe concierge was extremely poor, drove in with my 7 seaters rented car, and staff simply ignored my existence - didn't even bother to come out to greet us nor offer any help with the luggage, even after telling him that I'll need help - zero awareness and zero service. The luggage trolley is simply an ornament. Excuse me, it's Marriott! Never in my life have i had to experience such an unwelcoming experience.
However, the receptionist (wearing spec) was the only person who gave my family a warm welcome, likewise the staff at the buffet. 👍
RRay_ToowoombaVery close to the Fortitue valley bar area.
Pool is small on the roof top so it’s not heated.
Generally quite good.
Not exactly located at the central CBD.
RRoxrctWe booked The Langham on the Gold Coast for our honeymoon. It is a nice hotel but I can honestly say it is not worth the over $550 per night we paid. I’ve listed positives and negatives below:
Positives:
- there was a nice note and small chocolate slice in the room wishing us a lovely honeymoon
- Staff are very friendly/welcoming
- Ocean view was amazing from the hotel room
- facilities - gymnasium was fully equipped with a view of the ocean/beach
- Bathtub was lovely
- Easy access to the beach
Negatives:
- There were stains on the sheets. When we arrived I noticed two stains in separate places on the sheets (note: they were dry stains). I went down to reception and they said they’d send housekeeping up to change the sheets. As advised, a woman arrived to change the sheets. Unfortunately, I didn’t check the new sheets and there were stains on those as well. I went back down to reception and they said they’d send a supervisor up again to look at the sheets. Two staff came to the room, apologised and changed the sheets again (this time I checked). The hotel gave us a bottle of wine, some lip balm and pillow spray which was a nice gesture as an apology, however, multiple stained sheets for what is meant to be a 5 star hotel is very disappointing.
- The pre-authorisation amount (hold) when checking in is $200 a day, so $1,000 for a 5 night stay. This is ridiculously high. I don’t know why they hold that much considering most hotels, even 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in, hold $100-200 for a stay. On a positive note it did come back into my account straight away at check-out
