St. Locke Church is the first Jesuit Church in Portugal and one of the earliest Jesuit Churches in the world. Crucially, St. Rock Hall was one of the few buildings that survived the 1755 Lisbon earthquake. On the outside, St. Locke's Church is very ordinary. When I enter the church, I am immediately restrained by its magnificent and brilliant decoration. There are many small halls in it. The most famous one is the 18th century Capela de S&_o Jo&_o Baptista, which is said to have been built in Rome with many precious stones and then dismantled, transported and transported. It was the most expensive project in Europe at that time. St. Rock Hall is worth visiting.
