A short 15-minute walk from your oasis will take you to Playa Negra, a gorgeous black sand beach. There you will discover a lovely beachfront restaurant at Banana Azul or the Super Banana Gourmet Market with an outdoor cafe where you can have a coffee and pastry and use the internet. There are also numerous grocers and meat markets in Puerto Viejo to stock up for your provisions back at the villa. Be sure to check out the Sloth Sanctuary, the Jaguar Rescue Center, the Cahuita National Park, and the National Wildlife Refuge-Manzanillo, or rent bikes and ride the coastline visiting the small towns and their unique offerings, all within 30 minutes of your peaceful retreat. Laundry: We have recently reopened our laundry room for guests after replacing a new washing machine. Please make sure to rinse sandy items with the outdoor shower before placing them in the washer and dryer. NO shoes in the washer and dryer. Please use ECO-friendly laundry detergent. Septic systems are fragile and we want to continue being able to provide this service to all guests in the future.
