A Fine Day Out

Worth the walk across the causeway. We hiked the perimeter trail (fairly easy but long) and picnicked near the barn. We met one person the whole way round. The Bath House is very impressive. Be warned...

ATTENTION DOG OWNERS

Do NOT take your dogs. Our dogs were covered in ticks when we completed the hike around the perimiter. We feel terrible and our dogs have not been themselves the last few days.

Unusual setting reached via driving on ocean floor at low tide!

How exciting to drive on the ocean floor at low tide to tour the estate on this amazing island. At high tide the island is completely cut off from drivers. Interesting security! Lots of buildings...

Great experience

Very good experience. Plenty of well presented historical information about the owners and life on estate in early 1900’s. Beautiful location.
