Stayed at Dusit Thani Residence Davao for a recent business trip, and it exceeded expectations. The location is very convenient—close to the airport, which is perfect for tight schedules.
The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped for work, with a comfortable desk setup and reliable Wi-Fi. The environment is quiet, making it easy to focus or rest after a long day of meetings.
Service is excellent—staff are professional, attentive, and quick to assist with any requests. The amenities, especially the pool and fitness center, are great for unwinding after work.

Everyone is nice. But staff needs to know more about the area and places that we asked they have no clue.
Linens and towels needs to be replaced when the color is almost brown instead of white. Its a very old hotel We had to call to replaced our pillows because its smells like old sweat. We were so excited that its beach front not until they told us the water is not recommended for swimming. We had to go to another island and pay. We were disappointed with that.Breakfast buffet is good.
First time in Davao and Samal Island.The location is very near the wharf.The staff were friendly and helpful.Woke up very early and they were already cleaning the pool and surrounding areas for the guests.We had a good time in the pool and a little walking in the beach.

Something to be aware off. I do love my stay there very relaxed atmosphere. It would be nice to get food all day at anytime but breakfast is from 7 till 12 then lunch after that. So if you had early breakfast you would have to wait till after 12 for lunch. I would recommend this place to relax and unwind lovely beach and very helpful staff.

ผผู้เข้าพักFor the 3rd time booking in Dusit Thani to celebrate a bday, We bought foods and small lechon to be consumed inside our room, but this time around they asked us a corkage of p5,000 for lechon, i told them that we will consume the food inside d room not in the restaurant but insisted us to pay the corkage fee. I read their room policy, only DURIAN food is not allowed to carry, other than that we assumed its ok, because it was not our 1st time to bring lechon. Asking for a corkage fee but did not even give a receipt.

AACVSantosPearl Farm is like a paradise. Everything is pleasing to the eyes and to the tummy! Lechon is available every night. Staff are very friendly, accommodating and quick to respond to every request.
My only complaint is their social media, phone and email responses. They respond very slow or none at all.
1. I asked for a transfer from Discovery Samal Welcome Center to their Marina Wharf. They said they will send a van at 1pm but there was none. I followed up thru trip dot com messages, no response. I called their mobile number, declined! Guess what, they replied saying they were on lunch break! We were in a hurry because we need to be in their wharf before 2pm per their instruction. Nada. Good thing we were able to ask Discovery Samal staff to bring us to Marina Wharf.
2. Boat transfer from wharf to resort was cancelled due to big waves. I understand. We were told we will be traveling by land. We rode a van, lined up to be transferred via RORO (yes, the ship transfer) which took us 2 freaking hours just for lining up!! And another hour to arrive at the resort. We travelled for 3 HOURS just to arrive at the resort. We lined up with other RORO passengers - with and without vehicles. We are staying in a 5 star resort but they cant do something to make the waiting/lining up in the RORO be a little faster?? I saw the driver paying 20/passenger for riding the RORO (not verified). Cant the resort pay a little extra for a fast lane or something similar? Idk! Just rly disappointed bcos we were traveling with a 3yr old! Ofcourse I messaged them regarding this thru email and yes, they DID NOT REPLY AGAIN.
I wanted to rate them 5stars but their communication with guests is so bad. I worked in a hotel and every message from guests is taken very seriously.

BBig BeckerAsk for Nancy! She will make you have the best time here! This hotel exceeded all of my expectations. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with modern furnishings. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I had a restful night’s sleep. The hotel’s restaurant served delicious food and the staff were always friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect, with easy access to public transportation and nearby attractions. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it to others. Thanks again Nancy 😀
LljhaykimOverall, our stay was okay but there were some issues that need improvement.
We had to request for an extra towel for the floor because it was not provided in the room setup.
Breakfast was good, and we appreciated the variety and taste. However, our booking clearly stated 4 breakfast inclusions, but upon arrival, we were informed that it only covered 2 breakfasts, which was disappointing and felt misleading.
During our stay, there was an earthquake (magnitude 5.5). Surprisingly, no alarm or safety announcement was made by the hotel, which was concerning. Proper safety protocols should be in place during emergencies.
Overall, good breakfast but some service gaps and safety concerns need to be addressed.
