We stayed at Sercotel Cornellà Barcelona for three nights and had a pleasant experience. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable, which made our stay even more relaxing. The hotel’s location is convenient—just a short 4-minute walk to the Metro station, with about a 30-minute ride into the city center. All the facilities matched the description provided, which added to the overall reliability and satisfaction of our stay. The staff had a great attitude—friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our visit. It offered a great balance between accessibility and a quieter neighborhood atmosphere. Overall, a solid choice for anyone visiting Barcelona who doesn’t mind being a bit outside the hustle and bustle.
The hotel room is comfortable and adequate for up to 2 people. The location is what makes me love it. It is a few blocks away from the metro, close to a lot of attractions (Sagrada Familia, Ciutadella Park, Barceloneta Beach), and is relatively safe. The receptionist is also very friendly.
Осень понравился отель. Мы останавливались на 1 ночь. Отличные завтраки с большим выбором. Бронируйте завтрак на 8:00 и не будет никаких очередей. В номере чисто, уютно.
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Rec. It's in a great area in El Born, full of nice restaurants and bars. It's also just a short walk from the Gothic Quarter which is lovely to walk around. We also enjoyed coming back to the hotel after a day of exploring to sit on the roof by the rooftop pool with a beer. The pool is small, but perfect for cooling down in, or sitting on the edge with a drink.
The room was modern and kept very clean, and the bed was very comfy. We slept like logs!
I have requested a room in higher floor, far from lift. However I was allocated a room on 1st floor next to lift. The noise in the corridors is loud and some you can hear clearly in late night. Also you can see nothing through the window as it is a wall outside the window. The view is quite bad as you can’t see anything.
The location is good, close to Espanya underground station. Airport shuttle bus stop is outside hotel as well. A good restaurant is 1-min walk from hotel. The reception lady and gentleman are very good apart from one wearing glasses. Room service is done pretty well and it is clean. Shower water is hot and strong, which is good. Free luggage storage.

KKimmyg43I had high hopes for this ”4star hotel”
From the pictures and the previous reviews everything seemed like it was too good to be true...
Arrival was average, had to ask which way to go to get to my allocated room (normally you are directed by a member of reception atleast)
Arrived at my room (104) 1st floor.
Opened the door to a bright airy room..my first thoughts were this is lovely.
Dropped my bags and took a shower and that's where things started to go downhill...let me explain...
Now I am aware this is not 5 star but if im being totally honest I have stayed in cleaner 2 star hotels...
The attention to detail from the cleaners is just way below par for a 4 star establishment.
Shower door covered in limescale (easy to put right with a bit of Elbow grease)
Mold and nasties around the outer edge of the shower door (see pics)
Splash marks all over the tiles at the side of the sink (like old toothpaste marks)
Sink wouldn't drain properly (seemed to be blocked)
Skirting boards definitely hadn't been given a wipe for a good few weeks/months
All standard/basic stuff that you would expect from any hotel and certainly from a 4 star one or am I being picky?
Then there was the call to reception to ask for some milk so I could make a coffee (kettle is provided in room)
Receptionist said they don't have fresh milk only 'powdered sachets' of the most vile tasting milk I've ever had (think baby milk/gone off normal milk)
Apparently the restaurant was closed so they could not access it to get some fresh milk?
Receptionist advised me to go to the supermarket..which is a 25 minute walk from the hotel 🤦♀️
As it happens there is a coffee machine outside the reception entrance so I found myself nipping downstairs to buy one from there. (Not the most convenient but we move forward)
I had read that there was a rooftop restaurant in the flyer as advertised but when I asked about it apparently it is no longer there?
The restaurant is only open at breakfast times so no food is available not even snacks? However they advertise room service so unsure how that works?
Outdoor pools closed which is fine but you couldn't even sit on the loungers hence....nowhere to sit outside the hotel itself.
Such a shame that all these little things build and in turn let it down as a 4 star advertised hotel.
Now for the positives...
The view from the room of the sea is beautiful
It is literally across the road from miles of sandy beaches
There are a couple of lovely restaurants nearby that are open from 12 noon for brunch/dinner and reasonably priced.
The area itself is super quiet and feels safe enough as a solo traveller.
ผผู้เข้าพักLocation is okay :)quiet neighborhood with a shopping street close. Staff is super friendly. But the rooms are definitely not a 4 stars. The rooms smelled musty. It definitely needs renovation.
Unfortunately I would not come again. Price was good
ผผู้เข้าพักI had a beautiful stay. I had been staying and loving the SLS Hotel in Miami and therefore wanted to try this new one in Barcelona. It looks very luxurious and the room I had was very spacious and just beautiful and well thought over all. The only thing that wasn’t super ideal for someone who loves walking a lot is the location. It was great, next to the beach and also really great amenities however getting to the city one would always have to take an Uber since it’s quite far away from it. At some point I started riding the bicycle and that was great as well but it just needs to be considered. Also you should not sleep with the doors to the balcony opened. They do warn about it at the hotel and for a reason. There are truly a lot of mosquitoes and just after one night leaving the door opened I was completely covered with mosquito bites. Also if possible ask for rooms farther away from the pool as that is where most of the mosquitoes will be. I got moved to a new room so the service is amazing.
