ผผู้เข้าพักI had an absolutely wonderful stay. This hotel is very accommodating to foreign travelers. They did their best to communicate with our family to make sure they were happy and comfortable. The rooms are amazing and full of amenities. They have a restaurant downstairs and serve a large delicious breakfast each morning. They also have a movie subscription service with a nice selection of English movies as well. Fully enjoyed my stay and will definitely be staying again in the future.

ผผู้เข้าพักWe arrived at the accommodation when it was raining heavily. There were a lot of leaks from the roof, when we entered the room we simply saw that the mattress was completely wet as a result of the leak. We then moved to another room where there was a leak in the bathroom as well as a lot of dirt, including in the toilet. In the meantime, the girl at the desk honored us with a very tasty local watermelon. She apologized for the situation and moved us to another room. The next room was a huge room, I think it was their suite. The room itself was really comfortable and large, but it was simply full of spiders and cobwebs. We decided that we would still stay in the room despite its poor maintenance. They cleaned the room for us a little, but it didn't help, but we had no more strength to complain. We cleaned it ourselves so that the stay would be reasonable. It should be noted that the place only has a solar water heater, so on cloudy and rainy days there will be no hot water as happened to us on the day of arrival. We asked the staff in the evening for tomatoes and onions and they happily gave us them free of charge. This is noteworthy and thank you for that. It should be noted that the Didi does not always arrive at the accommodation location, they offer a paid shuttle, which is convenient. On the second day we went out to the dunes at sunrise, the guy at the desk insisted that we would be cold and gave us some kind of sand socks. Only when we returned did we realize that it was actually a fee of 20 for both of us (just like on the website, and much more than supermarkets in the area). We did not understand why we were not told that it was a fee, plus it looked used and did not come in a plastic wrap. Apart from this incident, the staff was nice and helped us with the shuttle (for a fee). The breakfast was great, and they tried to help us according to our vegetarianism. We wanted to extend our stay after cleaning the room ourselves and it was decent and good, but the price was high for us, which is perfectly fine and reasonable on their part, and we decided to leave.

KKateI only speak English and the family were so patient in using translation apps. They were very kind in picking me up from the bus station (arranged by previous hotel) , had a fabulous hot shower and got a delicious dinner. Up early and with a lift to the caves had a lovely quiet visit. So kind, very much appreciated. Only slight difficulty for me was the firm bed, but I was able to make it work using a spare quilt as padding. Would stay again.

My five-day visit was nothing short of perfection, from the moment I arrived until my warm departure. My journey began with a incredibly gracious complimentary pick-up from Dunhuang airport, which immediately eased any travel fatigue. The hospitality only blossomed from there. The host family provided me with such genuine individual attention, offering personalized advice for visiting the breathtaking Crescent Moon Lake and the awe-inspiring Mogao Grottoes. Their tips were invaluable and helped me experience these wonders to the fullest. Now, the food! Each meal was a delight—authentic, home-cooked, and prepared fresh with so much care. It was truly delicious and gave me a real taste of local cuisine. My room was a haven of comfort and cleanliness, kept absolutely spotless throughout my stay. A wonderful daily touch was the replenishment of complimentary beverages: refreshing peach tea, pure water, and delicious coconut water—perfect after a day of exploring the desert. The most touching moment came upon my departure when the hosts presented me with exquisite souvenirs from the Mogao Grottoes. This place is for people seeking a slice of life...It promotes a slow pace and to really understand the hotels value you need to actually spend time there. Also looks really ideal of families - lots of area for kids to roam without getting into trouble. If you just want a bed to crash in while spending most of your time outside, don't stay here. Also if you want the most Instagrammable hotel around? Yes, book it. Pros: Amazing view, super peaceful. The layout feels like a camp you walk out and you're right in the common area, easy to relax. I came back late one night and heard absolutely nothing for a long time. Service is genuinely 5-star; they really care about your experience. Some previous reviews mentioned they staff attitude is bad - I confirm this is either fixed or incorrect. Maybe I don't expect people to pamper me 24/7. There are plenty of staff and if you chat to them or make a request they will 100% help. Rooms are cleaned well. Some previous reviews said the aircon was bad, but mine worked great, and hot water never ran out, temperature is easy to control. Also, people said no food delivery - wrong. I got delivery even during a sandstorm, no issues. Taxis and Didi come to the hotel fine, about 12 kuai from the center. Cons: The bathroom is extremely small. If you're over 177cm / 73kg or have a broad build, I can't recommend you stay here. I kept bumping into walls, and the shower curtain stuck to my skin mid-shower – my biggest letdown. The room gets hot, stuffy, and smelly if you turn the aircon off during summer days. I made that mistake once. I'd suggest the hotel install sensors to manage temperature or air out rooms when guests are out. Breakfast is simple – looks and tastes fine, but gets repetitive and you can't choose from a menu.
