Room is of The Pines Hotel, location is great and cozy room. But there was no amenities like mini bar or Toothbrush. Only items available was Towels. Also there is no wifi. Room is clean and biq. And the view from room (23rd Floor) is spectacular.
There was no shower head for the hand shower near the WC.
Overall : My parents had a comfortable stay (beds were nice and firm) There were ample spaces for our luggage, bags and food from the night market.
Pros :
- Quiet (Good for us who are light sleepers)
- Soundproof room
- Customer service not bad
- Stable Shower Hot water
- Ok Price for 1 Room w 2 Queen Beds
- Large rooms which is a plus
- Restaurants nearby and a mart for grocery too
- Stayed for a night & booked 2 Rooms
Cons :
- Abit far from Jonker (but if u have a car then it’s not a problem)
- There’s the (潮湿) (aircon wet moldy smell) coming out from our room. Bearable but if u have sensitive nose then might be alittle uncomfortable. (Can be fixed w aircon maintenance)
- The bathroom contains both the shower & toilet. There’s no door / shower curtain for the shower (open air?) and have to control the shower direction when showering to prevent getting the entire floor wet. ov
I stayed at Birkin International Hotel in Melaka from Tuesday to Thursday. As the hotel is still new, I understand that some facilities and security features may not yet be fully operational—for example, access control requiring a room card to enter guest floors. I also understand that, as a newly opened hotel, some rooms may not have undergone complete inspections.
Upon check-in, the first room assigned to us had several defects: the toilet basin was choked, and the basin handle in the small kitchen area had come off. We contacted the front desk for assistance regarding the choked basin, and they offered us a room change. A staff member whom I believe was the hotel manager came up personally, escorted us to another room, and informed us that we had been upgraded. We truly appreciated this gesture and the prompt service provided.
We checked in around 3:00 p.m. and were feeling hungry, so we decided to try the hotel food. We ordered two slices of cake, fish and chips, and pizza. The food was nice and delicious, and we genuinely enjoyed it.
However, I would like to highlight a concern regarding the breakfast experience. As this is a five-star hotel, I expected a high standard of hygiene with zero tolerance for flies in the dining area. Unfortunately, I noticed several flies during breakfast. On one occasion, during the nasi lemak service, I saw a fly land on a bowl of eggs. I pointed this out to the staff, but they only removed the piece of egg that the fly had landed on. This was quite alarming, and as a result, I did not dare to try the nasi lemak at all.
Later, I noticed one of the staff attempting to smash a fly while wearing gloves. This made me wonder whether the gloves would be changed afterward if the fly was successfully killed. This raised further concerns about food hygiene. Because of this, I became worried and chose to eat only items that were freshly cooked on the spot, such as curry noodles.
Overall, I felt disappointed with the breakfast hygiene standards and sincerely hope the hotel will take this matter more seriously. I believe Birkin International Hotel has great potential, and with improved attention to cleanliness and food safety, it can offer a much better experience for guests.

MMuhammad Irsyad Bin ZainiMy recent stay at Puteri Bay Hotel Melaka was an absolute dream, leaving me with lasting memories and a sincere appreciation for the art of hospitality. From the outset, the hotel radiated an air of sophistication and charm, setting the stage for what turned out to be an extraordinary experience.
The check-in process was swift, and the staff displayed a perfect blend of professionalism and friendliness. It was evident that guest satisfaction was a top priority. The lobby, a tasteful blend of modern design and classic elegance, provided a welcoming introduction to the hotel's aesthetic.
Upon entering my room, I was immediately struck by the meticulous attention to detail. The décor was a harmonious mix of contemporary style and comfort, creating a serene retreat within the bustling city. The bed, with its high-quality linens and an assortment of pillows, offered a cocoon of relaxation that was hard to leave each morning.
The hotel's amenities were a highlight of my stay. The fitness center featured top-of-the-line equipment, and the spa offered a range of indulgent treatments that provided a welcome escape. However, the pièce de résistance was the rooftop pool – a serene oasis with panoramic views, making it the perfect spot to unwind and take in the cityscape.
Dining was a culinary journey. The hotel's restaurant boasted a diverse menu, showcasing culinary expertise with a focus on fresh, local ingredients. Each meal was a delightful experience, and the breakfast spread was a particular standout, offering an array of choices to satisfy every palate.
What truly set apart was the exceptional service. The staff anticipated every need, and their genuine warmth made me feel not just like a guest, but like an honored friend. From concierge recommendations to housekeeping's meticulous attention to detail, the commitment to providing a flawless experience was evident at every turn.
Nestled in a prime location, offered easy access to the city's attractions, ensuring that my explorations were both convenient and enjoyable. Whether I was venturing out for cultural excursions or simply strolling through nearby parks, the hotel's central location proved to be a valuable asset.
In conclusion, my stay was a symphony of luxury, comfort, and impeccable service. It's a rare gem that effortlessly blends modern elegance with genuine hospitality.
