Location Location Location. Situated between the Harbour Arm and the Old High Street, it is the perfect base. The staff are brilliant considering they are dealing with all sorts of clientele. The rooms are clean , bed is comfortable. We can recommend the BBQ pizza. Lots to see and do.

Had a good stay at this property. Building looked historic but inside the rooms, the renovation and equipment were modern and clean. I stayed at room 15, which was one of the smaller rooms and found it to be a bit of a squeeze.
Having stayed at so many properties that required £10 to £15 parking fee a night, I really appreciated that there is free street parking right in front of the property until 8am, or off-site parking (which isn’t too far away) till 11:30am.
Staff excellent.
room excellent.
not exactly where i needed to be next day but acceptable.
Beer selection poor. Hobgoblin Session IPA is not an ale. With Shepheard Neame on your doorstep Spitfire, Bishops finger. Offering a citrusy/zesty as the only alternative to a a multitude of lagers is poor. hobgoblin Ruby if tied to that brewery for this outlet would of been fine or some bottled alternative.
Who ever specified to controls for the shower being opposite the shower head and not under it was a bl@£dy genius. No scalding of freewing whilst trying to set the temperature.
Thanks for a very acceptable stay.
Great hotel .large well equipped rooms . A bath in shower. Had 2 fans.ironn hairdryer and a fridge. 2 double beds in room. Plenty of tea and coffees. Large open reception area and reasonably priced restaurant. Great pool . jacuzzi.steam room and sauna with free towels.hotel was clean and tidy . Staff were friendly
Disappointed with the pool , dirty, no cups available for water, locks broken on doors . Floor slimmy.
Room ok but dusty at the bottom of the tea station, fan not working in bathroom,
Breakfast was terrible, orange juice was really watery and tasteless , plates too hot and no serviettes provided to hold , cereals were ok , no pastries very poor selection for the price , bread was cheap and soggy and when toasted burnt...yuk ! Too much pepper on the tomatoes , baked beans cheap and nasty , sausages were nice, bacon horrible and cooked in clumps so some were under cooked and some extremely crispy and salty.
For the price of £17 a head , I think the breakfast was 1/5. lady staff member was very nice, polite and helpful 5/5.
Sorry to say but we won't be back 😞
Checking in at reception was quick & easy. The room was spacious with a large king-size bed which was comfy and the room was toasty. Good value, would recommend and stay again.

ผผู้เข้าพักThe perfect location and food in the restaurant is also good. If you plan to check-in after 10-11 PM, I would suggest having dinner before going.
ผผู้เข้าพักIt's been quite a while since i last stayed at the Kings Arms... and this trip reminded me why!
There is very little choice of Hotels in the area, and Kings Arms is centrally located in Westerham with many decent Pubs and Restaurants in close proximity.
The Hotel had undergone a lot of fairly recent External Renovation and looks amazing from the outside... maybe one day they can progress to modernising the interior.
Bar Area and Restaurant areas are absolutely fine, and you cannot fault the friendliness and helpfulness of the Staff.
However, the journey upstairs with the threadbare carpet kinda lets you know what is instore for you inside the room.
On this most recent stay, the room itself was HUGE! I booked a deluxe Double. Massive Bed, and ample furniture.
Carpet threadbare in places and the Central Heating Radiator didn't work. A small Electric heater had been placed in the room, but due to the enormity of the size, it was inadequate to produce any real warmth in the room. Poor quality lighting.. but i thinks that made me by design!
The Bathroom was equally large, but similar to the room (and others i've stayed in previous) i suspect maybe the 1980's was the last time it had a facelift. It was adequate to take a wee, and clean my teeth.. but i could only imagine my wife's reaction to the sheer thought of taking a Bath in there!
It's such a shame really... perfect location to stay for either Business while working at Biggin Hill Airport, or for a weekend getaway with the wife.
However, if the latter... i would seriously advise to take a look across the road. You'll have a much happier wife!!
This could be an amazing hotel - but it sure does need a lot of work on the inside.
JJanet Zenperfect in every way, location, breakfast, spacious room...especially impressed by the wonderful people working in the reception, Irina particularly makes us cyclists feel more than welcome..
AAkki_M13Overall the hotel was pretty decent. Good location and great views fron the room. But you know the building is a but old one some dont expect 5star model. You want some thing vintage and good you are in the right place. I loved it . And the staff was so lovely and friendly. I will suggest this one.
ผผู้เข้าพักFantastic stay in the newly and tastefully decorated Clifton Hotel. We received a very warm welcome from friendly and helpful staff, and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in a great location opposite the beach with lovely walks along The Leas and also boasts a Marco Pierre White restaurant on site which has made for a definite return visit. A delicious breakfast was included in our stay with a huge choice of cooked or continental dishes and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Will be returning very soon.
ผผู้เข้าพักThe hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. The location was difficult to find, but overall was a nice stay. Bonus that there was a whs 24hr market!
ผผู้เข้าพักWonderful location, just a stones throw from the Centre of Canterbury. Our Host was lovely, very kind and welcoming.
Breakfast was not overwhelming, very basic. It was included in the price so can't really complain.
Lots of niggles with the room though..... maintenance appears to be down on the list of the priorities sadly.
Fridge didn't work.
TV had cracked plastic frame around it. Remote didn't connect to the TV. However you could turn on the TV manually....once you'd sussed out what wasn't working first.
Bedside set of drawers had handles that kept falling off.
No sink plug in the bathroom. You had to be a contortionist to see in the bathroom mirror, it could have been better positioned on the adjacent wall.
It was also a little concerning that all the electric devices had to be plugged into just one trail board.
That being said, inspite of all the niggles, it didn't stop us from having a lovely weekend stay in Canterbury - location made up for it along with Sanjeewa's hospitality.
