Great location for the south-west coast path. Room comfortable but the quality of the service, food and drink was outstanding. Breakfast menu and dinner in particular had a broad range of locally sourced foods that were cooked and prepared beyond our expectation. Wine and beer choices were equally as impressive. We've travelled quite a bit in North Devon and this is a gem of a place.
Lovely quiet location, room was clean and comfortable with a lovely hot spacious shower. The breakfasts were delicious and cooked to order which you could pick from a varied menu, there was also fresh juice, cereals, yogurt and fruits you could have along side a hot breakfast. All the staff were friendly, kind and polite. It was a joy to stay here and we will be returning
Nestled in the village of Dartington between the Dartmoor National Park and the spectacular South Devon coastline, The Cott Inn has been serving since the 1300’s. One of the oldest thatched inns in Britain, the inn has modern bedrooms with attached bathroom upstairs and a rustic pub atmosphere downstairs.
Each bedroom comes with Freeview TV and free Wi-Fi, and feature original wooden beamed ceilings. The light and airy rooms have a boutique style, and all come with complimentary toiletries and tea/coffee-making facilities.
The Cott Inn has a picturesque garden with outdoor seating, surrounded by trees and shrubs. There is live music played in the bar every Sunday, where guests can enjoy a range of drinks as well as daily food specials prepared using locally-sourced produce.
Just a mile from Totnes and Totnes Castle, the Cott Inn also has Dainton Park Golf Club 5 miles away and is a 20-minute drive from Torquay.
Small room and bed. Toilet seat slid around and the whole pan rocked from side to side- loose screws. Roll holder fell off. Breakfast not served until 10:00.
Clean and functional bedroom.
