"We have visited this Inn many times over the years and loved it, but were disappointed this visit. Upon arrival, there was no key left and no one answered our phone call or text message. When we got into our room and there were sheets, but no blanket for the cot we needed to use and we could not find any in the chest of drawers or closet. Breakfast used to be family style with the cook conversing with the visitors, but this year it was a buffet. The table was not set, the cook did not converse, the food was unimpressive and the same both mornings (scrambled eggs, sausage, and grits), and (while we don't mind) we had to bus our own plates which was unlike past visits or any B&B we have stayed in. The hospitality was not the same it has been in years past, which is the biggest disappointment as we come to bed and breakfasts for this reason."

"We had a wonderful suite at the top of the house, well-appointed and very comfortable. The breakfasts were terrific, a great opportunity to meet and chat with other guests. It's across the road from William & Mary and a 15-20 minute walk to historic Williamsburg, a real treat. If we return to Williamsburg, we'll return to 605."

"My wife and I were here the first week in November 2023. What a wonderful place! It’s cozy, quiet, and the attention to detail are stunning. Coffee and food are in a plentiful supply :-) Most importantly… the HOST! Stephanie is a national treasure. She makes you feel at home the second you get there. We’re not the most outgoing people, but we felt at home immediately. You can tell She loves what she does. And the breakfasts? We probably gained 10 lbs in 3 days lol! Everything you could imagine, fresh made daily! I didn’t wanna leave. The place is situated a few minutes (literally) from everything. All the tourist sites are 5-20 minutes away. Parking is ample. The beds are not too soft. The room furniture was comfortable. My only minor quibble would be the bathrooms. They are small and a little tough to navigate if you have physical issues like me. (A plunger would be handy -sorry bout that). But the house is probably 200 years old. So that’s expected. Everything else more than makes up for it. All in all, we traveled hundreds of miles to get here. And if we could, we’d bring Stephanie up North in a heartbeat! More bread pudding please!!! :-) 4 stars all the way around!"
